Chapter 12
The room was filled with silence and tension. Hadley cleared his throat and looked over at Mandy, "So.. you used to date Ramin?" He asked, taking a couple of steps towards Ramin.
"I'm still his!" She cheered, messing with the leather wrapped around her wrist, "He told me I will always be with him."
It was obvious Sierra felt awkward, she stood their, watching Mandy over carefully. Wether it was jealousy or just the fact of how much skin Mandy was showing, Ramin couldn't tell.
Ramin rolled his eyes and sighed, "I told her I was breaking up with her before I came here." He pointed out, sitting down on the couch.
Hadley and Mandy sat on the other sides of Ramin while Sierra continued to stare at all of them, "Ramin is such a great hockey player." Mandy said, smiling at them.
The soon to be Raoul bursted out in laughter, "Is our Phantom a secret hockey player?? Oh Canadian boy!! You're so much like a stereotypical Canadian!!" He hooted, slapping his own knee, still dying with laughter.
Mandy smiled and nodded, "He was the best on his team! I'd go to every single one of his games." She beamed proudly, snuggling up to him.
"So our thespian is a secret sports player?" Sierra piped up, looking at them.
Mandy looked over at Sierra, "Thespian? I mean, sure, Ramin always talked about playing in Phantom one day after seeing it when he was little, but he loved sports more. He didn't want to do drama or anything." She said, getting up from Ramin's side.
Sierra sighed, "Whatever you say, he does drama and choir now. He's not the same guy you used to know." She said, sitting in front of Ramin, "I now know why you performed that song for auditions."
Ramin's eyes went big, "Y-you do?" He asked rapidly.
The redhead nodded, "You had a relationship with Mandy, but then came here. You love it here more. You let the last one, Mandy, go." She finished.
Mandy's mouth dropped, "What are you talking about?" She argued, looking at Ramin with complete shock.
"Oh yeah! Sing it again Ramin!" Hadley cheered, clapping loudly and grabbing Ramin's guitar and handing it to his friend.
Ramin sighed and started to sing it. His notes and feelings came alive just as he had performed it in the auditorium. However, it was different for Mandy. She could picture the story through every lyric he sang.
Sierra and Hadley clapped and cheered for him when he finished and put the guitar down. Ramin and Mandy stayed silent.
"You really are different then the man I knew in Canada, aren't you, Ramin?" She asked, getting up.
Ramin continued to stay silent, but Mandy knew what the answer was. She knew he was different, but that wasn't going to stop her from trying to get him back. She knew the only one who stood in her was Sierra, but even she was in a relationship she felt she couldn't get out of.
"Then I'll be on my way. But I moved here, Ramin. I'm attending your school next week." She said, beaming, "Hopefully you'll learn where your heart is truly meant to be with."
After her last statement, Mandy left the house, leaving the group of friends silent and confused. Ramin was the most confused out of all of them. He never knew her as the clingy type. And to move all the way to America was something he'd never imagine her doing.
"So hockey, huh?" Hadley asked, putting his arm around Ramin, trying desperately to start a conversation, "You love maple syrup, you have a small accent, you play hockey. You're such a Canadian boy!" He cheered.
Ramin pushes his friend's arm off of him and let out a loud groan, putting his face in his hands to hide himself and to grasp onto his forehead. Confusion swarmed around him, "Why is she here?" He asked in a rhetorical question, "And it isn't like that. I stopped playing when I moved here."
Sierra was now in place of Mandy beside Ramin and stroked his back gently to calm him down, "Hey.. I'm sure it's okay. Don't worry yourself about it so much. Just think, we just made our dream roles in a show we've always wanted to do!"
Hadley looked at Sierra and nodded, "She's right, Ramin. Maybe we should practice singing and do the entire musical right here!"
Ramin's face jumped up and his eyes twinkled, "Really? Can we?" He asked, excitement in his voice.
Sierra got her phone ready with prologue/overture karaoke on for Hadley to start, "Oh but I need to get some things first!" She ran to her house and returned about 20 minutes later to see her enter with a box.
Hadley immediately started to search the box and found out it was full of funny costumes for phantom. There was a plastic white mask, fedora, and a black cape for Ramin. A blazer and rose for Hadley. And a long white robe to make up for the dresses. They were all going to play different characters, so it was going to be interesting for all of them.
Ramin and Hadley were Andre and Firmin. Hadley was Meg, Piangi, and Buquet. Ramin was also Carlotta, Madame Giry, and the beginning scene auctioneer because of how much of a drama queen he was. The group of friends were also the parts they had just received. They all took turns singing and dancing around like a star.
Sierra instantly realized how much of a great actor Ramin was once they started it out. Whenever Ramin got a role, he made sure to portray it well.
They did this for about an hour before "intermission" started. They all huffed on the couch even though they were just doing this for no one in Ramin's living room.
Ramin felt he was portraying the Phantom well, especially when Hadley and Sierra kissed. He was a little jealous even though he wasn't even dating her.
They made it to Down Once More/Track Down this Murderer. Ramin was getting into the role even more now. He knew what was coming up.
"God give me courage to show you.. you are not alone!" She sang loudly, pressing her lips onto Ramin's. They melted into a passionate kiss, when Ramin realized it needed to stop. He pulled away and they finished the show.
They all got out of their "costumes" and laid on the long couch together. They all smiled, knowing they would be doing this very soon. Together.
