I never met you before; yet here you are

Shedding light on my dark world

I never wanted to get close

I’d rather look from a far

I was already taken

I shouldn’t have been looking beyond that

Yet I found myself attracted; unable to retract

I denied it, I looked away

I lied to the world; I lied to myself a lot too

Denying the feelings of a simple-minded girl

I let go of what didn’t make sense

To somehow take on a bigger riddle

Believing that this was all in my head

Separating my imagination from reality was the biggest puzzle.
