Dillan's POV

Though I've never really been one for violence, I can't deny that it's hot as hell. I watch as Kane's body twists and turns, sweat gliding down his muscles softly as he focus' his attention on the man in front of him.

I don't know much about men and fighting and everything but something about that man doesn't look right.

Almost fake and forced and I begin to have a sneaking shaking feeling within me. You can call it my sixth sense but I just call it my bitch alarm.

It sounds cooler like that.

I turn towards Kane's mom and find her sitting there with a concentrated expression on her face. I should've known that something was up with her when she agreed to come to this fight so readily. Someone that doesn't want you to succeed in something isn't going to show up to any events unless they have motive.

And I think I just found hers.

"What would it take for you to actually care about your son and not try to manipulate him into doing what you want?" I ask her, my voice still soft and sweet as I question her.

"Excuse me?" She asks me and I raise my brow at her unimpressed, god that I made no promises to be good during the fight.

"You paid him didn't you? What's he using?" I accuse, all the pieces coming together. Shes the one who set up the fight and if I'm right, that man is so doped on on drugs he could and will end Kane's career if he gets the chance. And I have to make sure he gets the chance.

"Mind your business. His job is replaceable and so are you." She tells me and she makes a motion through the air with her and and right as I'm about to slam my hand across her face, a large beef one gets wrapped around my wrist and I look up to see a buff man loki king down T me with a menacing glare.

"Let go of me, shrek, I have a game to watch." I tell him, trying to yank my hand away from him and I watch in slow motion as the worst thing that could possibly happen, does.

Kane turns towards me with a worried expression as I try to get out of the giants hold, his eyes flaring in anger as he sees his mom and sister sitting there, not caring about me being man handled by what looks like a stranger to him. And then I watch as the realization crosses his face but it's too late and I push the man away from me as I try to get to the ring.

Because the doped up man in front of Kane pulls his fist back and I watch as it slams straight into his cheek and his eyes go white as he falls, my screaming of his name loud, but it doesn't seem to reach his ears as he hits the floor.

And even though it's obvious that he's not going to get up, the fucking bastard that knocked him down kicks him twice before officials have to pull him off, but I don't care.

I don't care about anyone but Kane who's laying on the floor of the ring, blood coming out of his nose and mouth and he looks as if he's seconds away from something serious as he lays there against the floor. Two officials come and grab me just as I'm touching the ropes around the ring, holding me back as I reach for my man, medics rushing to his form and he's surrounded until the only thing I can see is his hand between his bodies that was stretched out towards me.

And I feel cold hard guilt slam into me and I can't breath as I sit there and watch them try to make sure he's okay.

Because he did it for me. He lost the match because of me. This was supposed to be him showing his family that he could do it, this was him proving it to himself while I sat there and watched. And I fucked it up because I couldn't hold in my bitchy for two more round and talk to the officials after we won.

And I want to throw myself in a car and never come back.

Because even if he doesn't blame me or if he doesn't remember because of the blow to his head, I know that it was my fault.

It was me that tore his dream apart.
