standing at the window
Standing at the window,
You heard all her chatters,
Standing at the window,
You met all her matters,
Standing by the window,
You read all her thoughts.
And then there was me,
standing by the window sill,
Looking for open sky, an open hill,
To escape all your chills,
To roll down from my mill.
It was a sight I could trust,
You weren't the one I could trust,
Love, this heart isn't rust,
Love, ain't this enough,
Shattered minds and your bluff.
And standing by the window,
I knew you wouldn't come back to shallows,
Your wanders so hollow,
didn't led you to mine,
Love is far from divine,
And at the end, you'll disappear,
May be appear to say it wasn't you but it was me,
Bluff, love ain't charity,
It isn't meant for vanity.
And standing by the window,
I'll see you go by, flying,
As I come undone to all silence,
And it will for once all end,
Cause, love, I'm tired of trying.
So, I'll just stand by the window,
Watch you not stay in my meadow,
There's only so much I can bend,
Let go, I ain't what you can mend,
There isn't an angel you can send,
As you stand at her window,
Hear all her head's clutter,
Read her thoughts that clatter,
See her fly away to sunshine,
Could I wish you too were mine,
But I'll just stand here by the window,
Looking for open sky, an open hill,
To escape all your chills,
To roll down from my mill.
So, I 'll just stand here by the window,
And count all my shallows,
And grant that wish to my hallows.
