I have decided not to write to you anymore. The need for you is consuming me. It has been four days since you left, and I'm nowhere better. If I keep writing to you like this, I would keep waiting for you. Instead, I must accept the reality and move on with life.

My responsibility towards you is over. I tried my best to protect you as long as you were in my sight. And now you are safe and back to the life to which you belong.

I would think of all the time I spent with you as a beautiful dream. It's time to wake up now and focus on my duties as a captain and as a son.
