living
Taehyung walks into a room like he owns it and he knows it.
The people in the room are easily intimidated by his presence, it's one that demands to be paid attention because he is a remarkable man. Although Serenity is used to Taehyung's influential presence, she'll never lose the feeling of wonder when he walks into the room.
Like this afternoon, her friend of many years walked into her house with assurance polishing each step, each stride smooth as his lengthy legs covered in chic trousers made their way to her and Jungkook. Small eyes that hold zeal, ecstasy and leisure as he smiles at them. A smile that isn't meant for everyone but only those that are close to him- closed lips, his facial features lifting up as he grins. His formal attire would make others assume that he's attending a wedding, somewhere that requires you to dress smartly but no, this is his usual everyday attire- this man never spends a day in his nightwear. He fixes the watch on his wrist, shaking his shoulders as he ruffles his now blue hair.
Jungkook is surprised. "Hyung when did you get blue hair? Oh my god-"
Taehyung walks past his best friend, i'm not here to see you- he nudges him before walking straight to Serenity and engulfing her in a massive hug.
Serenity and Jungkook's home always feels more like a home when Taehyung is here and she gladly wraps her arms around his shoulders- resting her head on top of his as Jungkook huffs.
Taehyung and Jungkook really are best friends and teasing each other is what makes it more special.
"You're probably wondering why i'm here-"
"Not really." Jungkook replies swiftly. "You're always here loser."
"Mate, let me speak."
Jungkook pouts at that, frowning a little at his best friend. Serenity's chestnut eyes fill up with protectiveness as she gives him a playful smile.
"I'm here to invite you to my solo piano performance." Taehyung explains, clasping his hands together. "There will be other people performing too, singers, orchestras, but i'll be part of the event. I was hoping you guys could come?"
"How could we not? Of course Tae." Serenity squeezes his hand happily.
"See you tonight."

Serenity and Jungkook arrive at the place of the exquisite venue.
Their fingers interlock as they make their way through the reception, showing their tickets to the security as they take a leaflet of all the performances tonight. Seeing Pianist Kim Taehyung makes both of them feel dignity and joy.
The building is attractive, several floors and glass windows that show off the scenery of a new city that has turned shadowy. A wide hall, filling up with the jittery, talkative audience, performers hiding behind crimson curtains made out of velvet and a round stage, several seats surround it as electric lights shine down on the wide space of the level stage. The audience fills up gradually, no empty seats left as Serenity and Jungkook look around- their eyes looking for Taehyung's husband who will be waiting for them.
Eventually they meet up with the tall- charm filled man, greeting him with side hugs and warm smiles as they all take their seat, thrilled for their ears to be blessed by Taehyung's skilful piano performance. Serenity notices the vacant seat beside her and she turns to the men with a jumbled look. "Is someone else coming?" She asks, raising a brow.
The boys are about to answer until she hears steps approaching her. She looks up to see the answer to her question and Serenity feels dumbfounded. She wasn't expecting him to join them.
"Jimin!" Serenity stands up, not knowing what to do with her hands as a smile appears on her lips. Jimin smiles back at her, sensing the glee in her voice when she noticed him.
He's dressed like the other boys, ironed suits that hold two simple colours- black and white. But his collared shirt is paired with a sleek tie which is done perfectly. Smart shoes with a slight heel on his feet. Serenity likes the way his hair looks- blonde, fluffy, neatly cut bangs fitted into a quiff, showing his forehead. Flawless eyebrows that raise at her unexpected reaction, chocolate round eyes turning into crescent moons as his pink lips form a smile that captures everyone in the audience for a musical night.
Jimin says nothing, instead he hugs her, wrapping his arms around his dearest friend tightly. He rests his head on hers, catching her by surprise. Despite their past intimacy, every touch is friendly now and as years have passed, they've grown closer.
Serenity moves away, feeling fond. "That was a nice hug."
Jimin winks. "i've just missed you." He greets the other two boys with a wave of his small hand before they all get ready to watch and applaud.
Throughout the performance, Jungkook's hand stays placed on Serenity's thigh- occasionally wrapping around her hand as he kisses her knuckles. Jimin stays still, sitting beside her as he whispers comments throughout the event. The four of them await their loved ones performance and when he appears on the stage, strolling onto it- dressed in an all black suit, collared shirt with a silver necklace. A belt around his waist as he takes his place on the leather seat in front of the piano. The piano in front of him matches the scene perfectly- grand and majestic.
Taehyung rolls back his shoulders, the ring on his wedding finger shining bright as his proficient, lean, bony hands lay on top of the pearly keyboard. As soon as his fingers start to play a tune so sweet, Serenity sighs in content, Taehyung's husband smiles a smile so big and proud, Jungkook claps his hands in enthusiasm and Jimin leans forward with an astonished gasp- cheering quietly as he nearly stands up.
When the night ends, the four of them rush to congratulate Taehyung, patting his back energetically, ruffling his hair, bringing his blushing face into their chest and kissing him sloppily.
YES TAEHYUNG!
You did so well I cried!
Ah babe, that was amazing.
I'm so proud of you!
I love you!- float into the air as they smile delightfully.
The evening ends and Jungkook drives Jimin home with Serenity.
"Thanks bro." Jimin pats Jungkook's shoulder from behind as they arrive at the front of his small house. He leaves the car, closing the door behind him as he takes out his noisy keys.
"I'll drop him to his door." Serenity murmurs and steps out of the car, running behind Jimin as they start to walk beside each other to his front door.
"What a wonderful night." Jimin mumbles under his breath, feeling his friends presence beside him as they step onto his front porch. The two of them stare at the dismal sky and the gorgeous stars that slowly come into view.
Serenity nods, standing opposite Jimin. "It was." She agrees. It was full of musical goodness and companionship. "I'm glad you came." I'm glad you exist.
"Me too." Those two words were enough reassurance that their friendship was something healthy. After all these years, Jimin continued to travel but always made sure to never leave Serenity's side. At one point, she thought he would always be temporary but he's proven his permanence by staying constant throughout the years. They have, in some way, grown older together and will continue to.
"Have you been okay?" Serenity asks, fiddling with the rings on her fingers as she looks up at him.
"Of course, have you?" He raises his brows. They've always found it hard to express their feelings or talk about the things that matter. But they're not who they used to be, they've changed and grown as more time had passed.
"Yes Jiminie."
Jimin takes out his frozen hands from his pockets before stepping closer, wrapping his arms around Serenity's small frame before hugging her. The hug catches her by surprise as she places her hands delicately on his ample back, rubbing his blazer as they hold each other under the stars. She feels his hair tickle her skin, his tight grip on her and how he pulls her closer.
Serenity hugs him close, gripping onto him. In the past, they have experienced much more than hugs and although the sweet danger was good for them in those moments, it was temporary.
The hug itself becomes a moment she wanted to cherish but then he whispers into her ear, still holding her. "I love you." And he pulls away. One of the only times he's ever said that to her.
Serenity looks up at Jimin with her eyes wide and full of immense relief. She still feels the compassion from his hug. "I love you more, you know that."
"I'll see you soon." Serenity squeezes his hand before walking away.
"Goodbye, get home safely." Jimin waves his hand.
