Dear Nancy,

It's been four years now. I haven't stopped writing to you every day, I don't think I ever will until I see you again. I hope wherever you are, you are doing okay, I hope you are well and I hope that you haven't forgotten about me or Tonks. I know you most probably will never read this but in case I ever get the courage to send these, I hope that you know how much I miss you.

I received a letter from Tonks today, she said she saw your dad today, she said he didn't look great. He was greying, his face had more wrinkles and he looked like he hadn't slept in ages. She spoke to him, apparently, he hasn't seen you either. Neither has your mum, he said you disappeared in the night one day and hadn't returned. Nance, he hasn't stopped looking for you and won't until you return. He is prepared to search every corner of the earth, every house, every nook, every cranny and I will too if you do not return.

I know many people leave and have a break for a while but usually, that is a few months, a year at the most. Not four years, where are you? I hate it! I need to know you are okay, that you are safe. I need YOU!

Most of these letters would bore you, well I think so anyway. But, I don't want to stop writing them. When I lay the words on the page it is like I am talking to you, like you are here listening when really you could be the other side of the world or even next door and I wouldn't know. You may have changed so much that I could have passed you on the street and not known it was you, especially if I couldn't see your eyes. That would be the biggest giveaway, you could change your hair, five times a week, you could change your name, get a little bit crazy (or crazier)<< I've just quoted a muggle song I heard-whoops. But it's true, you could change all of that, the way you dress, how you act but your eyes would tell me it's you. Your gorgeous, dark brown, chocolate-like eyes

Nancy, I miss you,

Nancy, I do,

Nancy, I need you,

and I am acting like a fool.

Nancy, my dear,

I wish you were here,

here in my arms,

Nancy, my dear. . .

How about that, I've not written you a poem before, yes it's awful but it tells you how I feel. Nance, if I had anything to do with why you left, I'm sorry. Please come back. I will make it up to you, whatever I have done I will try to fix. Please just send even a short letter saying that you are okay, safe and well, just those three words, please, that's all I ask.

Please, come back.

I swear we were infinite,

Love always, Charlie

Charlie sighed, he had awoken early and decided to write his daily letter that morning instead of waiting until the evening. He glanced down at his right wrist where the red leather band sat, with the words 'I swear we were infinite' in white calligraphy where sewed into it. The little saying both he and Nancy had made up in their first year at Hogwarts. They both had one, Nancy had got them made once Christmas and it was her present to Charlie, he only took it off when he showered, and then it was the first thing her put back on.

"Come on Charlie, I've been knocking for ten minutes, I had to let myself in. You're not still writing those letters every day, are you? The ones you never send?" Asked Ender, a fellow worker at the sanctuary. Ender was a rather tall man with, blonde hair that was always slicked perfectly to the side, and hazel eyes. He and Charlie became friends when the latter first came to the sanctuary, but he never could replace Tonks or Nancy, they were irreplaceable.

"I do, Ender. I will not stop until I find her." Charlie said standing up and placing his letter into an envelope which he sealed with wax and scribbled her name on the front.

"Why don't you send them then, mate?"

"I don't know where to send them, even her parents haven't seen her."

Ender clapped him on the back, "You'll find her, you work with dragons, finding a girl will be easy."

"If it's so easy, then why haven't I found her?" Charlie raised his eyebrows, he folded his arms across his chest after placing his wand in his back pocket.

Ender shrugged, "Maybe you're not looking in the right places."

"And what would classify as the right places?"

"I dunno, but I do know you will find her, Charlie."

"Stop saying that!" Charlie cried, "It's not going to bring her back if you keep saying that!"

"There's not a lot I can say on the matter, mate. I haven't been in this situation before."

"Ugh, Merlin give me strength!"
