Dear Angel,

PLEASE, do not be one of those girls that relies on other people to make your decisions. You need to be independent, have individual thoughts, make some friends that aren't so "popular", and always stick up for them, no matter how embarrassed you could be after doing so. I stuck up for all my friends. I mean I would be sitting with a really popular girl, and she would be talking bad behind my best friends back, and I would just get up away from the mean girl and sit with my best friend.

Don't base your thoughts on what other people, or society, wants you to think. Do something random nobody would suspect! Dress the way YOU want to express yourself, like different crazy prints, mismatch colors! Bedazzle for crying out loud! Just whatever you do, do not be another clone of society! For example one day in 7th grade, I decided to wear a bright pink shirt, with blue shorts and sneakers. Pretty casual right. You would think that that sounds like a clone of society, well, I added something else. I added a blue scarf with silver polka dots on it to the outfit! The reason I did this was because without the scarf I was like everybody else, nobody would notice me. But, if I added the scarf then I would be different.

My point is that if you never have an original thought nobody will notice you. The slightest thing of individuality can change your appearance. When people looked at me funny, I would tell them this.

So yeah, basically to summarize this up, be individual, don't surrender to society, and stick up for friends.
