Severus had a willing plan, but it had been bloody foolish. If only Rabastan hadn't been lingering around Aurora so long they could properly talk about it, but it didn't work in any way. Begging or pleading.

"Sev this is how it continues, you sink to their level...If you get bit—"

"I won't. Once I require the location I will tell the rest of..." Whatever he had spoken after that, it stopped picking up as everything in her turned into a spiteful muteness.

She was going to have to get through to him somehow, but distracting him with Lily had failed, everything in the terms of him focusing on something else opened her heart to see that he was indeed rather...obsessed.

Almost to the point of hurting Aurora with a few ticks of foul language.

The girl stayed silent about it all, easily she could tell Lestrange about what he had said, as well as tell the boys who were just itching to see her for more than a glimpse in class.

She was ultimately torn.

If she hadn't met Lupin that one fateful night in the summer perhaps they wouldn't be so obsessed. She could've made it all the easier with the mastermind plan of ending this war.

And the only person she felt comfortable with was Alice, it wasn't necessarily a pureblood thing. But in the end it was, of course it always was. Alice didn't find any fault, but she saw where the girl was torn in three different directions. Four even, if you counted Remus separate from his group.

"If you think someone is going to get hurt, then stop it before it happens Aurora. Let them attempt but stop them in the act, they've been at this since our first year and if Rabastan were to join in with Severus what will happen then? Do you want to see Remus and him against each other?" The wash of cold water felt like it soaked her entirely, even with that in her mind she was relatively shocked. No matter what the outcome this little fifth-year battle would bring into the future would hurt.

Alastor didn't give confirmation of the plan to continue, but they were defiantly aware that it would not happen anytime soon. Not in Hogwarts at least, so it was a favorable action as she could focus on her academics before diving into anything permeant at the current moment.

But the idea of Remus always sunk in. He was a constant, and although there was a certain feeling that stayed with Rabastan. Remus was...Remus understood her entirely, her fear and hesitation, her anger, he attempts to take everything into consideration.

How was she supposed to choose duty over...Over all of this?

"Alice if I hadn't managed to make an impression over the summer they wouldn't bat an eye!" Alice didn't agree with that idea.

"Do you truly believe that? Remus has fancied on account one gal but didn't do anything, they would've been intrigued, just like James and Sirius had been without knowing who you were." Aurora frowned at the realization smacking her in the face.

Merlin she was in a slump.

Yet the door opened widely to see both Mary and Lily coming through, only for Mary to jump onto the bed Aurora had allowed herself to fall back on. "And how was it this time? Any juicy stories to tell?" Aurora rolled her eyes.

"Pity that a boy that good looking doesn't know a single thing." Alice found herself laughing in her hand while Lily looked entirely surprised.

"He...He doesn't know anything?" It then began an explanation of the idea of sex in the modern pureblood family. Although it wasn't tight nit, usually they wait until marriage and never speak about it. Not until they have been married for about a month and the demand for a child literally forces the two into bed.

"He is good at snogging though, I'll give him that benefit." Lily pouted to herself, she didn't want to admit that she rather have her with Remus than Rabastan. But he hasn't shown any malice towards her just yet so it was just a matter of a waiting game for things to go downhill.

Luckily, her uncle had managed to rush the order on her glasses as it would've taken double the time and yet...Here they were. Presented in a package that she screamed when she had seen Onyx with the package.

They were good as new, even better if anything. To see them back at the base of her nose was a blessing, and now it'd be less of a strain for everyday tasks. Not having to copy notes, squint or to risk her eyes for others to see.

She thought the boys had just been ignorant to the new eyes but they had all seen it quiet loudly. Not that they voiced this knowledge, or could considering she didn't pay them any mind other than Peter.

"You know, you're fine with Peter..."

"Peter had a spell backfire on himself, I know Remus just deflected everything but he didn't stop his friends Lils. It's more than just one action." Lily was starting to pan down her own aggression to the Marauders as they seemed rather...Empty without her.

Sure she was on the field, but that was just a slight glimpse of what their friendship really is. Or was.

"Oi, Moony. Look who's rocking some glasses." Sirius offered, only for Remus to chart into forbidden territory to see her wearing them, usually for breakfast one could find them at the top of her head or even clipped to her blouse. But today, the first day of their return...They would be secured onto her nose so they would never leave her sight.

Rabastan didn't have any difficulties though to have her take them off, he wanted to wish her his own sort of luck for tomorrow's game and it resulted with a quick break from study.

As well as managing to keep out of Severus' plot to uncover the boys.

Even now was she still attempting to protect them after what occurred.

Remus found himself limiting his gazes, to see the little scars by her eye and know that he had been involved in the cause was making him on the more drastic. Especially when she left hand in hand with that snake.

Lily had picked up where Aurora had left off in tutoring the poor boy, half out of guilt and half out of his desperation. She wasn't in comparison to Aurora as a tutor, but it was good that she had gifted him a material book.

"Merlin why do you even need me, this perfectly shows—"

"Uh, Aurora gave me that for Christmas." He sadly indulged in the information, making Lily frown.

"I...I know what I said before Remus, but she cried for days after what happened and I—I don't want to see her like that ever again. She's had enough to deal with that-" He closed his eyes and much to his own discretion couldn't bare to hear any more of a reasoning.

Rabastan felt it as a challenge to prove himself to Aurora, she adored stories, and he adored her fits of giggles. Yet the pressure from his roommates to bed her was becoming insanely difficult to properly let go of.

They attempted to join them, but Aurora was used to the taunts as she dealt with her entire house for that gift. But she was more than untrusted with Avery, the one who had stabbed her during that unfaithful match.

Which was not helping in any gain of her trust, and thus not leading to her panties.

She never gave into him again, not after the introduction to his friends at least. Which was completely justified, she's new, and the only bit of information she's ever had on them was what they did during the game.

However, she knew quite well where the families intertwined, and if anything Avery and her have a few ties in their family tree. Yet her target was the dark lord and anything that revolves around it.

It was finally the time of the full moon, and the luggage that the boys had dragged along the entire time finally presented themselves as they had Remus go to the tree alone as they were finishing up a rather long detention that even begging to their head of house to switch around did not happen.

And Aurora wasn't there to make an excuse for them.

Speaking of the girl, she was currently reading a book in bed, only for Lily to moan and groan for someone to get the owl at the window. Which Aurora quickly did as she marked her book.

"Merlin Rory get some sleep," Lily mumbled, turning back around as the light from Aurora's bed was too bright for the girl at the moment.

"I'll go downstairs then, night Lils." She whispered back, opening the window to the brisk air and taking the note before the grand barn owl had taken back to return to the Slytherin quarters.

Opening the note did it say in very thin, very cramped handwriting: It's time

Aurora knew it in a heartbeat what this meant, and she took hold of her cloak and wand before rushing out of the room and up to the boy's dorm. Knocking it almost the dozen times and wasting precious moments only to unlock it and see that it was completely empty.

Blast it they were in detention.

With that in mind did she continue down, her uncle hadn't disclosed where he would have Remus transform, but she desperately needed to pick up the pace. Racking in her mind where the fuck Severus figured it out, or if he was just trailing Remus the entire time.

It became a drastic turn of events when Flinch started patrolling, but the lack of knowledge she had on the boys was beginning to weigh heavily now.

"Okay, okay...Where would you hide a very loud, very dangerous—Not the dungeons...Nope. It has to be obvious for Sev to figure it out." She began to panic as she mumbled out through the workings of it. So she took off her glasses and enacted her eyes, within a few seconds following it did she allow her nose to take its true ability.

And it was an exact following of Sirius' cologne.

"Bless that fucking boy." She stated, dodging the sour fumes that seemed to heave the way of the Hogwarts caretaker. But as she was finally caught up to their whispers voices she called out to them, panting a storm before stopping a few paces before them.

"Wells? What are you—" James offered, completely confused. His first instinct was the hide the cloak but she already knew of it so it didn't matter in any regard for her to see it again. But it screamed a massive clue as to what they might be up to.

"What's up?" James continued however it was Sirius that was taking in her panic.

"Remus...Where's Remus?" She ushered, still coughing a storm and they all stilled.

"No. You will not talk to Remus." She shook her head, going over towards Sirius before slamming him into the wall.

"Where. Is. He." She attempted again, but this time with a very hostel change in demeanor, reminding them all of the faithful days that ruined their forming friendship.

"Sleeping." Aurora closed her eyes and swore. She promised herself not to do it, she peeked into Sirius' mind for a moment and answer promptly came forward. So much so that even the little nob on the willow tree became an entrance straighten.

━━━━━▼━━━━━

"The Willow." She breathed and Sirius knew in the instant how she had acquired such information, Bella used to practice on him unwillingly time and time again.

"Stay out of my bloody head." He warned, and she seemingly backed up and started to run. Yet the trouble she would cause by joining them was reckless, they couldn't let her continue.

"What are you up to Wells?" He growled, whipping her back to face them as he gripped onto her wrist. But in one failed swoop was her wand pointing to his throat.

"Snape found the entrance, he's down there with Remus. We have to stop him." She hissed, letting the hold go down before ushering for them to continue.

The second they came all the bit closer the questions only grew by the second. How did she figure it out? When? What did she think? Was this why she stopped talking to them?

All of these surfaced and it angered Sirius the more he thought.

"Stay here darling, the moon's not out yet." She nodded, stunning the tree and waiting outside with Sirius as James ventured down to get Severus up.

The girl hugged her cloak tightly, she seemed to only be in pajamas so he realized whatever sort of vision she had or whisper in her ear managed to get her out of bed.

"What are you doing Wells?" She stayed silent, closing her eyes and managing a very calm and very clear voice without straining herself too much.

"Trying to protect him." In her mind, she was talking about Remus but Sirius took it that she wanted to protect her greasy git of a pal.

"Yeah well, then you can sod off with the rest of them then. Built your little snake army then. It's only—" James had interrupted Sirius' rant and Aurora's gawk of response as he held Severus by the back of his cloak and pushed him out.

"Severus I told you to leave it alone." She started, helping him up by the front of his shirt. "I w-wanted to—"

"I SAID IT WAS DANGEROUS, YOU HAVEN'T A CLUE ABOUT ANY BLOODY THING. THE LOT OF YOU ALL. IT'S LIKE EVERYTHING IS GAME!" She growled, but her voice was soon drowned out by a lofting howl deep underneath the tree.

"Wormtail, close...CLOSE THE DOOR!" James shouted, and Aurora was confused. To be fair it felt like Peter was long behind the conversation as they had ran the majority of the way and yet...It looked like James was yelling down into the tree.

"Get them back to the castle," James ordered to Sirius, who grabbed Aurora first. And only responded with a finger to his face.

"Don't." She started, pushing Severus forward as he reluctantly followed in pursuit. He was going to get a yelling and perhaps the same treatment as the rest of the Marauders...But fate had another version to the story to add.

As the howl had surfaced and not had the hollow effect as it had. Perhaps Peter and James failed to close the door, but the shout for her to run struck the second towards Severus as he was pushed towards the door once more.

Her eyes and nose still enacted, she smelled the faithful scent of Remus, she should've realized it in the beginning yet it was always heavy to him. Meaning a few things, that he was an older wolf. Making her heart shatter within realizing it.

"Severus. I need you to run, to go straight to your dorm and—"

"What are you—" The charging wolf would not stop, and no matter what spell would be cast would only hinder the inevitable. So the girl allowed her cloak to fall as she looked back, only for her eyes to really shine. She transformed into the wolf and charged forward to the bloodthirsty k9.

"Human. Human. Human." It chanted, however with contact to the animagius was the fight an odd session. Aurora was teasing and testing while it was rather a sort of annoyance to Moony as he assumed it was Padfoot.

━━━━━▼━━━━━

And yet, the second the feminine yelp admitted from her form it halted all progress from Moony's attack. "Name." He demanded, and Aurora so keen to hold her tail between her legs and see the stilled body of both Severus and Sirius on either side, she continued to circle about.

Able to attack if need be.

"Ivory. Name." She too wanted a name, she's never talked to a werewolf before and it was unlikely this is going to happen again so- "Moony."

If she needed a last bit of clarity to know if this werewolf is Remus, that surely confirmed each and every theory.

"Did they leave?" She heard off by the tree, her panic struck her in the instant as they were standing around with a bloody bloodthirsty beast right in front of them.

With another keen scent for Moony to sniff he darted towards the two beside the tree, only for Aurora to tackle, earning her fairly deep nips as it broke the skin and made her bleed.

The added barks of redemption had a very black dog-like figure jump up to pin the werewolf on it's side as well. "That Wells?" Aurora blinked several times, only to see hooves just in front of her eyes.

"Yeah, that's Wells. You think she can hear us?" Sirius offered, and with the werewolf beside them taken several knots of anger subsided, took a chance to lick her clean.

"How is it that every animal will love her?" He growled, but Aurora couldn't deny that she was a bit nervous. That was Remus' tongue, wasn't it?

Would his human tongue taste the remittance of her blood later?

These thoughts made her whine in protest.

"Wells, can you hear?" James stomped his hoof down and she looked to the stag.

"Hm, yeah...Sorry, Moony got me good." She spoke, shrugging off the large beast and getting back to her feet. Hobbling for a moment and looking to the castle.

"Care to share what the bloody hell happened?!" Sirius shouted, earning a growl from the dog just beside her. Although he was a male dog, it didn't help that Aurora's wolf was still generally the same size, perhaps even bigger.

"He owled me that he found out where Remus goes, but he didn't say where...If...If Remus woke up to hear what happened to Snape then—" It had turned into quiet a different response than what any of the others would hope for. But the growl returned from Padfoot had her steady on her feet.

"How long have you know?"

"After the fight, Severus told me I...I knew there was something off about his smell I just never placed it to be a...a werewolf." She whispered, but the looming affection and nudges that Moony had given Aurora were all an invitation to join them on their adventures.

"So you aren't prejudiced against—"

"Merlin Sirius, did you even look at the pamphlet I gave you? I'm funding a project FOR werewolves." She tempted, and yet the yap she had playfully given Moony allowed him to go onto his back and roll about.

━━━━━▼━━━━━

Neither of the lot had seen him that playful, especially when they first started out. Perhaps a few fragments from Moony's fancyment translated into Aurora and her wolf.

"What's your wolfs name?" Peter asked, and it came a bit off for Aurora to look about, only for a squeak to give an indication as to where Peter was.

"Ah, there you are...I named her Ivory a while back. Think it's safe to assume that your pet names that I thought in the beginning were oh so cute actually have a purpose here." The stag nodded, still trying to come up with a beginning trial on how to follow this.

Or how to tell Remus in the morning that not only did Snape know and try to find him, but that Aurora knows, is an animagus and played with his counterpart, but then on top of it all hurt her.

The death glares she was getting wasn't all the best of the situation, so she managed to stop playing with Moony for a moment and eyed them each. "I'll be off then...Have a good night, stay safe with—" She attempted to walk away, but Moony's playful tackle and whine at her almost departure had her confused.

"Have to stay now darling, not really in the mood to deal with a moody moony," Aurora whined under the hold and licked up to Moony's muzzle.

"I'm sorry I looked into your mind Siri, but I needed to know before something happened." The black dog huffed and sauntered off.

"Pads knock it off. We could've gotten in a whole lot of ministry trouble if she didn't stop Snivilius." The girl merely sat down on her bum and the werewolf, in his height and weight merely sat down behind her with his long legs guarding on ether side.

"I give you lot credit that I didn't figure it out sooner."

"Yeah yeah what a fucking blessing," Sirius growled, and the hostility between both k9s was leaving Moony reckless.

"Look, Sirius I get—"

"You don't get a bloody thing, he's going to have to find out tomorrow about what happened. Even if you told him it wouldn't—" Aurora looked to the calm being that was Moony himself. And she too huffed.

"Then don't tell him that I came, say that it was just Snape. That James pulled him out and that's the end of it. I won't say a word." It took a very heavy burred off the boys, however she leaned down further for Wormtail to get onto her head, a move he had only been granted by either James or Sirius a few times.

"We shouldn't linger." She whispers, and Moony had gotten the idea instantly to lead the pack into the forbidden forest. Past Chargers pen whilst giving into the outskirts of Hogsmeade.

"Why can't Wells come for the next moon too, look how calm he is." Sirius looked back to see how protective the lovesick wolf was. But it was still much less disturbing than thinking of how Remus would flirt with the girl. So perhaps it was easier to look at.

"So, an invisibility cloak, all animagusis, and a werewolf...I think I'm starting to understand this group a bit more." She whispered, almost like she was regretting the separation.

"Yeah, seems like you should've asked Wells." Aurora stopped, growling towards him that earned her a darting look from the mutt.

"What?"

"You make it sound like I know every bit of your damn lives, if you haven't forgotten I'm still new here. I barely know everyone in our house, much less in our classes. Stop acting like a child because you didn't get what you wanted." She spoke, shaking off Wormtail only to return back the way they came, Moony attempted to follow but she growled in denial.

The werewolf was listening in but didn't get the gist of the argument. His ability to understand human antics weren't that of a Centar or anything to that standard, but he knew she was angry.

"Stay." He spoke, and Aurora stopped to look back. "If you think that the reason I stayed away was because Remus is—" James had been silent between the conversation and took the lead.

"We don't think that, but he's heavily against what he is Wells. If he found out you know and that you were here with us it'll be a shit storm." She let her head lower down, not knowing what to do. So Moony found himself going towards her, nudging her stomach for her to continue with the group.

"H...How long have you guys been doing this?" James found himself asking the questions while Sirius remained in the back, poking at how tomorrow will end and what to do to prepare for it.

"See, you keep all the good traits about you lot to yourselves, I think this is the sweetest thing I've ever heard of." She finalized after all her questioned she had were answered.

"What about you Wells, how are you a lil wolf too?" She turned back for a moment, seeing Sirius now intrigued.

"Er that's a long story I suppose, it was a project and a few selected students were chosen to continue the studying. McGonagall is helping me get registered here so it's not entirely an unlawful act." Sirius stopped walking for a moment and closed his eyes, no wonder the professor had favorited her so easily.

She adored them too, even if she was hesitant to admit it.

They had a fascination for the subject and were very talented, although they had slowed down the process due to the fact Peter needed to understand the mechanics of it as well.

"You're telling me you learned for extra credit."

"And a trophy." She laughed, making Sirius pick up the pace and nudge her into the stomach. "Know he usually told you most days, but that's pretty brilliant." She rolls her eyes, making both the stag and dog let out a breath huff to show a bit of laughter.

"And now it makes sense as to why you liked getting your head itched, can't say I blame you. It's nice." A noise had the entire group stop, and Aurora who was defiantly the most in tuned with her form put her nose to the ground and straightened her back. "Think it's a Centar." She whispered, tilting her head to the side making her the more appetizing in Moony's mind.

He thought she was the perfect mate. Just like his human form.

It took a bit, but he was quite happy at the addition to the pack. Although the tension was high, it seemed to dwindle. Especially when Aurora was showing her exhaustion quiet early. And the boys nagging at it seemingly allowed the cross of a Hippogriff to catch on the mist, leading to a rather gory fight and almost all of which had been attacked. All except Aurora, who Moony had taken the lead to protect.

They managed to stay in the shrieking shack as they attempted to heal one another, it wouldn't vote well if Aurora shifted back but she worried after having not shifted in so long that her clothes would be nonexistent.

However seeing that the boys undressed as well, it gave her some room for it all.

Everyone had taken a nap, and if it weren't for Sirius' alarm then they would've missed sunup. He transformed back into his human form, and bent down in front of the normal wolf to give her a very therapeutic hair rub to wake her up.

A whine escaped her as her eyes were starting to wake up, her eyes widened and then shut at the idea of him nude. "Go get changed, we have to take Moony to the hospital wing." She struggled to get to her legs and went to the other room, one of which is where Remus seemingly shifted INTO Moony. Where his clothes had been left entirely.

She quickly shifts only to be nude as well, taking hold of his Gryffindor over cloak did she hug herself in it. "Wells you—...Oh this would surely send him into a heart attack love. Guess you clothes are shredded aye? Prongs! Where's the cloak?" Aurora let out a thankful sigh to know that she wouldn't have to walk throughout Hogwarts in nothing but Remus' robe.

Something that is obviously his due to the fact it has a 'prefect' pin on it's fabric.

She summoned her wand to tighten it around her for a small bit so she wouldn't worry about it falling. "I have to get my clothes."

"I'll head with you in a sec, have to get him all dressed up." She bent down and hissed at the pain, her wounds had barely covered up and were stretching whenever she shifted back into Aurora to moving about so freely.

She came over to the group to see James and Peter somewhat dressed. The smirk on James' face settled the mood as she presented the clothes back.

"No offense for his decency James, but I've already seen him in his full glory." She spoke, offering up the clothes before turning away and being handed off the cloak.

"Come on, lets grab your clothes. We have some first aid nonsense in the dorm room." Aurora nodded, but as she held onto Sirius underneath the cloak she confided into the fact she too have a bit of medical supplies due to her work with Madam Pomfrey.

It felt so good to have her back with the group, but all was going to be for a loss as it was the smartest bet to not tell Remus that she knows his darkest secret.

Sirius had the stronger grip on her as they both hurried about through the eerie halls of Hogwarts to the common room. "I'll get my pack." She whispered, handing off the invisibility cloak and tightening her hold on Remus' robe before rushing upstairs.

Clothes still in hand did she rush with the pack to return to Sirius who looked desperate for the fix up as well. "This'll be a blessing then, we aren't smart when it comes to healing." She offered a tired smile as they helped each other to return to the bedroom in question.

"Did you really come in?" She nodded, setting the bag onto the empty bed looking for sap and bandages. "Yeah well, I was hoping one of you would be here but I...Fuck." The girl finally felt the head-rush, holding the cup of her hand before sitting down and steady her breath.

"Hey...Heyheyhey." Sirius whispers, sitting at the bed across from her and brings her hand into his hold.

"R-Remus...The boy who wears knitted cardigans is a—a werewolf..." She managed, stuttering as she went about the explanation. And yet it was the crooked smile that lingered on his face as he pulled her in.

She was alright with him being a werewolf. But that was barely step one.

"Come on, we have to get some of this stuff on your face before he sees you." She nodded, offering up the cream and a swab for him to dab a few glops and smooth it out to overlay the cut. And before long she had done the same to him.

The others soon came in with the same tired expression on their face. It almost felt like a looming presence was just making it more appealing to sleep.

While Aurora changed back into real clothes she cleaned the blood of Remus' school robe and folded it nicely for him to have. While the boys all just slumped on their beds. "Get to bed Wells, we have about an hour." She yawned, thinking that the treck back to her room wouldn't be all that bad. But when Sirius offered his bed she couldn't have thought of anything more comfortable than another k9 cuddling up beside her.

"Bad dog." She whispered as he subconsciously wrapped an around her waist. "Don't you start now too." He growled, making her huff. "I will gladly sleep in Remus' bed." James let a breathy laugh and encouraged her.

"End up there eventually anyhow." With that out in the open James silently counted down from 3 before Aurora kicked Sirius and got out of the bed. "Babe come back."

"Oh I am not dealing with your little kinky playness, go to sleep." He growled and moaned all at once, tiredly reaching out, but yet when she found herself curled into a ball in the center of Remus' bed she felt...Strangely at peace.
