Perhaps it was nerves, but Aurora gave herself a few moments in bed. Onyx had delivered a note from Seb, a congratulations and a very adorable Gryffindor scarf. Leave it to those around her all being in the den of lions. It made sense as to why she was accepted, but it still didn't get rid of the looming butterflies collecting in her.
Finally finding the courage that she was judged for, taking a quick shower before drying her hair at the vanity table. The girls all woke from the set alarm, but Lily could already sense that something was bothering the new girl.
So came over and leaned against the vanity table. Smiling as Aurora looked very presentable, and the second the girl put on her glasses. Lily giggled. "I do like your glasses...Hard to believe you can fly about, but reading close things?"
"Is a bloody tragedy I know...How's Petunia?" Aurora knew it was best to leave the situation to either of them.
The confinement ether of them had to one another perhaps was the oddest relay, that they both knew their deepest secrets. Biggest flaws and everything in between, but Lily nodded never the less.
"Tuney's fine, she didn't say bye to me yesterday though...She was too busy on the phone with that Vernon monster of a man. Late last night, Merlin was it annoying." Aurora simply smiled, compared to this one, Ms.Halliwell was decently...Peculiar, even for a witch.
"I actually...When I went to Diagon Alley I—" Lily shrieked and claimed that she asked in dear consideration to her friend to go with, but it was no use. It was more of a ministry meeting than anything else. As well as being with an Aura to shop wasn't all that spectacular.
When she had a moment alone it was close to late, so she went to a bar. "You went to a bloody bar?! Merlin, it's not the states Aurora!" Lily scolded, and the girl only smiled up politely. Now ending the story at the nightclub where she met this tall handsome boy really layered the story.
"Did you two...S-shag?" Aurora snorted, shaking her head. "I'm not THAT crazy, Merlin no...He was cute, I was drunk and I needed to give myself a bit of...I dunno, pleasure I suppose." She spoke, in reality, it was sort of a positive look back to the summer. As all she accomplished was studying, reading and training.
Anything else was not much of a highlight, and it gave her something to think about when the urge came about. "Then...What did you two—do?" Aurora smirked as her black pencil was drawing on her water line.
"A little bit of touching and tasting, but you don't need to worry about that." Lily was already dressed and ready for the most part, however, the new girl offered to braid the redheads hair.
After countless promises that it wouldn't take that long, it was done before Alice had managed to come out fully ready. "Mary's almost done...Oh that is lovely! Can you do mine tomorrow?" Aurora said that it was a done promise, since it was the first day the entire lot of them decided to only take parchment in their satchel and debated on which books to guess will be for Mondays.
Ms.Halliwell once again felt the nerves render her mindless as she followed the girls down to the grand hall, and it was quite an ironic move considering that James had actually had a word with Aurora already, but never connected it to the girl he's heard about...Most likely all three years since Lily started talking to Aurora. But then her other name of Rory.
Remus wasn't feeling all that well either, so sleeping in was his best bet into trying to cure his wolfish fever. His friends were more than capable of bringing him a breakfast sandwich and his turntable. Besides, they still had a given hour before he truly needed to get up.
"He's still bent on Rory isn't he?" James questioned, the two of them managed to silently plan a few heists in where a pretty girl is in the saving grace of Remus. They were hoping it'd spark something, but at the moment nothing was curing their friend.
"The gal was a looker, but come on...How do we get him over her, it's just a muggle." James sighed out at Sirius' words, he defiantly knew how Remus felt. If he went that far with Lily and then just simply disappeared into the night he would feel the same. Remus confined into James that he attempts to get her to stay but it failed.
Perhaps the girl needed to go? Whatever the story was, it was meant to end. So all they could do right in this moment is hope that it was just his wolfy side coming out and about.
Upstairs, Remus couldn't rightly get up. He didn't want to face the day, nor the moon, nor the attack the grand hall would have on his ears. Instead, he sat in his bed and looked to the ceiling, dragging his hands over his eyes and down.
Merlin, he was whipped over just some girl, some muggle, some face in a crowd and it wouldn't escape his mind. Perhaps Sirius was right...Finding someone else, even just for that excuse would get Rory out of his mind. He swallowed, this decision would need a moment to process. And defiantly shouldn't be placed in front of academics and his friends, something he was doing right now.
His mood was getting affected now, Circi knows his work ethic would dwindle. Then nobody could save him if he has to explain to Lily why he wasn't in his right mind to study potions.
He came with ten minutes to spare, but it happens that the girls wanted to show Aurora the classroom and get her situated with one of the professors prior to crowd and greetings, it was nice to see that she had her own little quirks of placing her quills all about and a notebook. America had a very fascinating quick ink that allowed notebooks to be more of a ticket item then loose-leaf paper.
With the first class of herbology, it was easy to settle in, of course being placed with a Ravenclaw counterpart was going to defiantly be challenging. But Aurora seemed quite comfortable in the setting.
"Hm, lovely...The boy who called me a freak is in the same house." Aurora huffed, and Lily's head shot up and became all defensive.
"Lilypad, I love your darling. But I'm the cutting face of a new girl, this is the first few weeks. Just you wait, I'll knock him off his broom at tryouts for calling me that." If that is what made Aurora smile, Lily supposed it would work out for the moment.
Black and Potter are going to have to watch their backs, Halliwell was a very powerful witch. From Lily could manage to gather and a long talk with Alice, is that there is a small Salem Institute for young witches under the age of eleven that allow them to bask in their powers earlier than normal.
However, with the given few minutes still until the professor gets on with the task. Aurora was trying to study her sheet, hoping and willing to never look at it again.
To be honest she wouldn't be surprised if she'd get lost more than a few times a day. So when Professor Sprout came into the picture, Aurora placed her glasses up above her head to pay attention to the head of class, rather than planning out the rest of the given week.
When the class ended, it was like a breath of fresh air, literally. The first out were the Mauarders which made the feud all too easy to ignore for the time being. And Lily almost adored it, like the grey hair girl managed to already get Potter to leave her alone.
"Professor Sprout, this is Aurora Halliwell." Lily introduced, and the new girl smiled to the Hufflepuff head of house. "Oh dear yes yes, the headmaster told me of your arrival. If you ever need anything from me, dearie, come straight away." Aurora bit her lip and looked to Lily.
"Actually, I know that Ilvermory's syllabus is quite different to Hogwarts...Could I possibly have a syllabus from last years? Just to know what we'd be moving on to in the future?" The professor was completely delighted to do it, telling her that she'd receive an owl within the day.
"Merlin, Hufflepuffs are...-"
"Insanely sweet and kind, you heard Sprout, she'll defiantly continue the assistant position you had last year." Aurora shook her head, perhaps it was time to take it up with Madam Pomfrey, the infirmary's healer.
Since it was already eleven in the morning, they had charms just before a break and then, lunch!
For Aurora the day was just going...Rather slowly, Lily spoke a quick excuse for Professor Flitwick and he automatically knew that Aurora wanted to stay after for a moment to ask.
The headmaster spoke at his meeting that Aurora's magic was unique in its own right. And although Flitwick was a bit unnerved that the women didn't follow in her father's footsteps to his own house, it didn't matter as she didn't proceed with Slytherin.
With lunch already on its way did it seem almost impractical to end the day with History of Magic.
"Merlin Wells, he's so dreadfully boring!" Alice cheered, making Mary laugh the rest of the way. Peter, who had lost his friends in both directions of wanting to bother Slytherin's to the library. He decided that the best would be meeting them back in class.
However, he watched the new girl come into the picture and he narrowed his eyes. She looked...Oddly familiar.
"Oh, Peter...Aurora this is Peter, he's one of the nicer boys, right beside Remus." Lily smiled and Aurora allowed her hand to reach out, but the boy was more than nervous as his face blew up with a red face.
"I'm not going to bite, promise." In the instant, he smiled up to the pretty gal and shook her hand. Loosely and it threw red flags that the boy perhaps wasn't all to secure with who he is.
A follower, that's who.
"It's nice to meet you Peter." She greeted, all before following back to sit with Lily. Both Alice and Mary knew that the two of them were closer than one another, so for the time being they'd allow Aurora to get comfortable before switching out and about.
Also made it all the more ill will that only Sirius and Remus really got a good look at the girl. Thus pertaining to why James nor Peter had recognized her.
However, the second she put on her glasses to read through the syllabus both charms and Herbology had set in place seemed more than inviting. Especially when Severus came and sat beside Lily.
"Aurora, how did you find your classes?" Aurora smiled to her friend. "We have a class with Slytherin? Brilliant!" She cheered, the male counterpart just shook his head. This year would be interesting, he never doubted that. But his cautious glare from James Potter off from the other side only reenact his new partner to team against them.
Yet this one wasn't afraid of getting psychical.
Severus was guilty of watching Aurora play a few matches at her beloved sport, and he was well to admit that she was indeed very skilled and agile. All traits to beat either the thick-headed masses.
He could defiantly tickle the girl into a duel, perhaps then Potter and Black would be—
"Oh my Lilykins! Whyever are you so far away?" Aurora snorted, making both James and Sirius look to her in a clear view.
Jame recognized her as the girl in the cart with Severus but she--she had Gryffindor red and why—Why was she in the class?

"You were right Lily, he couldn't help himself for an entire day. Pitty, I guess I own you." She winked off to Lily and whispered something along the lines of 'play along' as she giggled back to Mary.
"And who might you be darling?" Sirius chimed, and Aurora merely shook her head in defeat.
"Wells." She stated, and Sirius nodded. Knowing in full disclosure that this girl seemed...dangerous, but he smirked all the more knowingly.
He was...Intrigued.
Lily scoffed at the idea at Sirius Black already taking interest in Aurora. But perhaps it was the array of pureblood tendencies that made him think that girls would drop to their knees.
Remus, in the foul mood that he's in decided to come in at the last moment completely undercover and within the last moment Aurora had a glimpse behind them.
Sirius, in entire his fashion, had the idea that Severus deserved a few jinxes throughout the lesson. But one warning look from Wells deemed it unlikely that he could continue without a fair fight.
"Wells seems to be a natural, get any word from her Prongs?" James shook his head, so in turn it was Remus to find out whatever he could about the girl. In full honesty, the werewolf couldn't bloody care who, what, when or why there was a new girl or cause any excitement or interest.
Otherwise, he would've seen her. His her. His Rory.
A name quiet reserved for Lily and the listing of friends off in the states. "Did Jake write you yet?" Aurora let out a sad smile.
"I told him I wanted some space before we start writing normally, it's completely justified, I won't see him for—" Aurora's eyes looked to Sirius, but the thick frame and added bonus of odd hair and a Gryffindor robe made it impossible for him to recognize the girl he met drunk and in the dark.
"Darling, perhaps I could show you around...We Gryffindors like to stick together love. Just the way we are." Aurora hugged her notebook all the bit more and calmly shook her head.
"As much as I would adore finding a broom closet with you Mr.Black, I think I heard enough stories about you from over the years to fill this whole book..." She politely decreed, and that had James narrow his eyes and step forward a bit. To cause Aurora to hold up a hand.
"You too Potter." Was her finalizing approach, and Alice shook her head in amusement at the scene. Remus on the hand was trying his best to stay out of the new girl's direct line of contact.
What had Lily and the gals told her about him?
"This is my penpal from America, she transferred," Lily explained, and with that. It was enough of an explanation for her to lock arms with the redhead and continue about as though nothing had occurred.
"Prongs. You and me, Hogsmead. Those two. Bronto." Remus rolled his eyes, closing them abruptly as he enacted a headache. Something he was prone to during the week countdown.
"Go on and rest Moony, we'll get you before dinner." Sirius offered, and it was a polite gesture as Peter returned Remus to the room where he instantly plopped down to the bed.
"At least the Moon lands on a Friday this time 'round." Remus hummed, not even bothering to get undressed in the slightest. Which meant Peter kneed down and took off his best mate's shoes.
"Rough moon then?" He questions and the young werewolf has no entire clue of how or why, but it was just a major headache. A flook.
"Think I'm coming down with a cold or something, it's alright wormtail...Can you find a book for me in the library though? I couldn't find it before class." Peter promised to give it his best, and that was good enough for Remus as he closed his eyes for that sweet and brief moment...
