A prayer for peace.

Father, so often I get overwhelmed by circumstances outside my control, and my attention wanders to things that do not matter. Forgive me for failing to trust You. Even when I go through troubled waters, You are with me. You are the Creator of my peace, and I have access to You when I draw near to You. Instead of silencing the Holy Ghost when I am anxious and feeling hopeless, help me to create space in my heart and mind to experience Your peace You give so freely. I pray this in the Mighty Name of Jesus, Amen.
