I tripped over the dormitory door earlier, and now my foot hurts—especially my little toe on the right. It stings with every step, and the throbbing hasn't stopped since. I decided to head to the infirmary to get some painkillers and something to apply on the bruise to ease the swelling.

They gave me a cooling gel, but it only helps a little.

I ended up limping the entire day at school, dragging my foot around while trying to act like it didn’t bother me as much as it did.

It’s funny how something so small could throw me off balance completely, both literally and figuratively.
