One of the best parts of my day happened during my walk. A cat came up to me, Gege!

It was so friendly—it rubbed against my leg and purred so loudly. For a moment, it felt like it was sent just to cheer me up.

I stayed with the cat for a while, petting it and talking to it like it could understand me. It felt nice, almost like I wasn’t so alone. I wanted to take it home, but I knew I couldn’t. I don’t have the time or space to care for a pet right now.

Before I left, I made sure to give it some food.

The whole time, I kept thinking about the cat I gave you before we were separated.

Are you taking good care of it, Gege? I’m sure you are. I can picture you playing with it, feeding it, and giving it all the love it needs. I hope it keeps you company the way it did for me when I had it.
