Virgil sat in his regular spot. A week gone by and he still got letters from R. He thought R would have gotten bored and moved on. He thought the same would be for Thomas, but he sat with Virgil a lot at lunch. And Virgil let him.
They were in a deep convocation about Disney. Apparently Thomas loved Disney. So they talked about it, mostly Thomas did, but Virgil jumped in at some points of the ramble to say something. The day progressed as normal. Virgil wrote some drafts for a letter to R, got in trouble to zoning out. Same old day. Except the letters, they were added to the day.
At the end of the day, Thomas gave Virgil a piece of paper, before running off to his bus. Virgil didn't read it till he got home. It was a phone number. He hid it under his pillow, scared his step dad would find it and throw it out. He though that parents were supposed to make kids feels safer then they do at home.
Virgil went outside and checked the mailbox. He grabbed the little stack and sorted through them, looking for the envelope that R usually sends. When he found it he placed the other ones onto the table and went up to his room.
Dear, V
Hello again! You probably weren't expecting me to send another letter, since we got over the fact that you sent the first one to the wrong address, which was mine. So I'm writing again, surprise! I guess. So you mentioned you got your phone back, so I decided to give you my phone number, since writing letters and sending them off costs a lot. So here. (*Just a random #) I'll be waiting. Have a nice day~
Sincerely, R
Virgil put the phone number, as well as Thomas' into his phone, and made a group chat, because yeah.
[PrinceyToday4:27pm]:What.
[V_AxntToday4:28pm]:Well Hello to you too, R. Or should I say 'Princey'?
[TSandersToday4:30]:Hello!!!
After the little messages they decided it was enough for the day. it was now 5:20pm. He grabbed his black jacket and walked outside, and headed to a café. The one he usually went to, to get his usual tea. It helped calm his nerves.
And since he worked part-time in a place he was able to make some money to provide for himself, since his family wouldn't help with that. So the fridge was mostly empty, so he found some bars his mom bought, before she-- left. He sat down at a table after he ordered. He fiddled with his phone. It was 5:40 pm, and the bell for the door rang, through the semi empty café.
Virgil glanced at them, and they looked like the same age as Virgil himself. He continued to watch the person, glancing over his phone. The person walked to get a seat, then his eyes locked with Virgil's. They walked over and asked if they could sit there, and since Virgil was too scared to say no, he just nodded his head.
The person introduced themselves as "Dee", because that's what their friends call them. Since he was good at lying he was given the nickname deceit, so he used it.
When Virgil got home, he added the deceit person to the group chat. He decided to just add every number he got from a new person, mostly male. Virgil was flecked.(Sorry guys, it's just my auto correct) Virgil sighed, placing his phone on his side table. It beeped right after he placed it down.
[Un'deceit'ptedToday6:40]:Hell?
[Un'deceit'ptedToday6:40]:Hello*
