My heart grows heavy
But some days it feels light
It makes my body feel unsteady
As I grip my chest real tight

Some days I feel littered palpitations
Heartbeats peppering away in my chest
While others I feel different alterations
My mind wanders at the sound of distress

The days start to go by faster
And my sleep pattern is faded and cruel
My heart starts to feel a bit better
Too bad I can't leave this room

I wish to feel my heartbeat
Not beat for the sake of pumping
Maybe this is why I can't find sleep
