I look at you and I wonder what I did to find someone like you
What did I do so right that made all my dreams come true
How did I get so lucky as to find you here by my side
Whenever I needed you, you wiped away tears I cried

I didn't even realize it, but I starting to feel stuff
When the going got crazy, and the stress got too tough
You always assured me that there's nothing to worry about
That whatever it is that's happening, we can always work it out

As days passed on, I could see that you are my shining star
That my happiness and security exists wherever you are
That you'll always have my back no matter the weather
And that we'll last until forever, just the two of us together

I spent countless nights sleeping to the calming sound of your voice
And believe me when I say falling in love wasn't my choice
But what can I do when you've mesmerized my entire existence
What can I do when all I think about is breaking the distance

I turn and toss in bed hoping that there's at least something more,
That these smiles and eye contact weren't just a drugstore,
That maybe you and I could live a dream we both wrote
But, now,  you're just a thorn that's lodged down my throat....
