In tears, with no choice I dance in the rain.
To see sunlight peeking through the clouds, first comes pain.

Tears mixed with raindrops,
The cycle of hope and heartbreak never seems to stop.

Stepping in puddles, water fills these heavy shoes,
To walk through a storm wasn't what I wanted to choose.

My own cries as my melody,
This right now feels like a penalty.

The weather is unpredictable,
I didn't think I'd need a coat... none of us did and this part is inevitable.

I never thought I'd need an umbrella to carry all the time,
But there's never an accurate forecast; it's just life.

I look up as I search for the sun.
Away drifts the dark clouds, one by one.

The water in my shoes seeps through the soles,
I'm a little damp but still left cold.

I see a ray of sunshine glimmers in the sky,
And realized there was something I should have remembered before I began to cry.

Never say never,
It can't rain forever.
