Your P.O.V.

I finally finished my studies, and therefore decided to head back to New York. Who would have said it?

"Hey Sam, Geo, I've decided something." I spoke as I came into the living room my apartment companions and I shared.

"So?" George asked, while Samuel was playing with the fake crown on his head.

"I've decided to move back to NYC," I stated. "With you."

Wide smiles spread across their faces as Samuel jumped in joy.

"Hell yeah!"

~Time skip brought to you by...

These smol beans who won an Oscar some time ago~

I tied my flowing (H/C) hair with a sky blue bandanna and gazed at the New York skyline.

"Well, this is America guys. Now how about we try to find our new apartment?"

We soon started walking towards the outskirts of New York and, after a couple of hours walking and quite a lot of complaints from both George and Samuel, we found the house.

"So, here we are! Home sweet home."

We walked inside and flopped down on the couch. Nevertheless, a letter in a pale green envelope  enter from the mail door (Idk how it's called) and fall down to the floor. I walked towards it and held it in my hands, gasping.

"What is it (N/N)?"

"A-A letter..." I could only stutter.

"Well yeah, but from who? Who knew we were moving?" Samuel asked.

"It's actually addressed to out apartment in London, but the guys who took that house sent it to us." I explained.

"So? Who is it from? We ain't getting any older," George huffed impatiently.

"Uh... a... friend of mine." I stammered.

"The guy who used to write you before?" George wiggled his eyebrows.

"Y-yeah... him."

I opened the letter slowly and began to read:

My dearest, (Y/N)

These last weeks have been absolute hell, I've missed you like crazy. Alexander and Eliza are far too oblivious about each other's feelings towards each other and I think there's something between Lafayette and Hercules. And here I am, forever alone.

I know what you are thinking, 'You should go out there to get a girl!' But no. I'm too awkward for that. I was just remembering, with all this lovey-dovey stuff going on, when you used to hang out with me and the rest. When I called you babygirl, and you would pout then blush, and the guys wouldn't stop teasing me about it. Yeah, good times.

Anyway, I can't think of anything else to say, so see you soon babygirl.

Jackie Laurens.

I smiled. Nevertheless, a small note at the bottom written in scrawny writing and Spanish caught my attention. I turned around.

"Hey guys, do you know what 'Te echo demasiado de menos mi amor' means?"

George looked at me from Samuel's lap and shrugged.

"I don't have a clue (N/N). I don't speak spanish."

"Hm? What was it you said?" Sam asked.

"You know what 'Te echo demasiado de menos mi amor' means?" I asked innocently.

That's when Sam spit his drink over George, making him jump up.

"Hey! What on earth was that for?!" George exclaimed in annoyance.

"T-that phrase..." Sam was currently on a coughing fit.

"What about it?"

"I miss you too much my love."

"WHAT?!" I shrieked.

Lafayette's P.O.V.

I looked down at Alexander, who was sobbing uncontrollably on the couch, and shook my head.

" 'ey 'erc?"

"Yeah babe?" My boyfriend's voice called from the kitchen.

"Could you bring a tub of ice cream and the breakup kit?"

"Um... sure, why?"

I turned to Alexander.

"What 'appened mon ami?"

"E-Eliza... s-she has a g-girlfriend..."

" 'ow you say? Non-corresponded crush." I called back.

"Coming!"

Soon enough, we had our fluffy, pale grey blanket over our friend's shoulder and our arms wrapped around him.

"Tell us what happened."

"Well I kinda liked her... and she kinda had a g-girlfriend."

"Who?" Hercules asked curiously.

"Maria Lewis. You know that girl with the red boots." Alex sniffed sadly.

"You were crushing on Maria?"

"No."

"I think 'e meant who were you crushing on."

"Oh! Elizabeth."

"The middle Schuyler sister?"

"Y-yes." He sniffed again.

We were trying to comfort him when we heard some angry knocks on the door. Hercules stood up and opened it.

"What are you doing here?"

I couldn't hear the visitor's voice, but Hercules invited him inside.

When the visitor came inside, I took a look at the man in front of me: The tall, tanned skin man with a magenta jacket and some wasted jeans that were completely soaked, and whose normally fluffy chestnut hair fell down in an almost femenine way over his shoulders, and the man whose confidence radiated from miles away, but now his eyes were clouded with sadness and his trademark smirk was rubbed off his face completely.

Alexander's head shot up immediately and his eyes narrowed, despite his tears.

"Jefferson," He spat "What are you doing here?"

Thomas eyed Alexander for a while before speaking.

"Listen Hamilton, it seems we both have more things in common than you care to admit, and that we're both in... hard situations... so let's collaborate, even if it's only for now."

My jaw dropped at this and I could see Hercules was quite shocked too. my eyes widened even more when I saw Alexander shake his hand.

Alexander's P.O.V.

Thomas fucking Jefferson was just asking me for a cease fire.

I was quite ashamed that he had to see me in this state of breakdown and extreme weakness, but I took a better look at him. His eyes were broken and I could tell he was falling apart too.

He put his hand out to me.

I looked back into those coffee brown eyes of his and shook it. Only then did I notice that he was completely soaked, and only then I realized there was a storm going on outside. My breath hitched as I started to panick.

"Thomas, mon ami. Won't you sit down?" Lafayette asked despite his astounded expression.

"Sure," He muttered in his southern accent.

Thomas' P.O.V.

He took my hand and shook it, but I noticed how he lingered slightly before pulling back. I looked down in slight embarrassment, but I managed to see his eyes widening and his breath hitch.

"Thomas, mon ami. Won't you sit down?" Lafayette asked.

"Sure..." I muttered, and sat beside Alexander, giving him some personal space.

Suddenly, someone came downstairs.

"Hey guys, y'know if any new mail has... what the fuck?" The freckled turtle lover, also known as John Laurens came into the living room and raised his eyebrows.

"Nope," Herc shrugged, sitting beside me and leaning his head against my shoulder.

"Okay... I'll just-" John's voice was cut off by the clap of thunder outside.

Alexander screamed and immediately curled up in a ball underneath the covers.

I looked at Lafayette, but he was trying to get a sleeping Hercules upstairs. I then turned my gaze towards John, who just rolled his eyes.

"Better ask him. By the way," His green orbs met mine finally, another broken soul. "May I call you Thomas?" His voice was icy and full of regret, heaven knows why.

I smiled at him and nodded, only making him visibly sadder.

"Are you okay Laurens?" I asked softly.

"Y-yeah. It's just because you remind me of... someone..." His face softened, still gloomy.

"Hey Alexander? What's wrong?" I leaned closer to the ball Alexander had formed and put my hand on his back.

"T-the hurricane...I-it destroyed e-everything I had. I-it killed my b-brothers. I-it killed m-my m-mother" He uttered.

I looked at him sadly. I didn't know this about my enemy's life.

"I didn't know that about you Alex... I'm sorry."

"I don't need your forgiveness Jeff- wait. You called me... Alex?"

My eyes widened as I looked away, my cheeks flushed.

"So what got you down Hamilton?" I asked in annoyance.

I looked up at John, who was just smirking. I glared at him but looked down once again.

"My crush... has a girlfriend."

"Yeah... I can relate..."

Alexander's head popped out of the blankets.

"Your crush is gay too?" He asked.

"What? N-no." I blushed.

"I think I'm bi..." I heard him mutter.

"You're what?"

"You heard that?!" He screamed panicking.

"Yeah."

"Now you will tease and taunt me about that..."

"Why will I do that?"

"B-because you hate me... and you'll use everything against me like I do."

"I won't."

"You will."

"Trust me Alexander..." I took his hand softly and let out a little smile. "I won't."

He seemed surprised at my sudden outburst of kindness, but looked down with his cheeks bright scarlett.

"So... who's the girl who stole your heart?" He asked sympathetically.

I bit my lip as my hands started sweating.

"Um... not a girl."

"W-wait what?"

"James. James Madison," I whispered.

"Oh. I didn't know you were... who's he with?"

"Dolley. Y'know, Theodosia's best friend."

I looked down, trying to refrain my tears. Nevertheless, something I thought I would never hear coming out of his mouth was actually whispered by the Caribbean man that dark afternoon.

"I'm... very sorry."
