Mother Nature
Oh, Mother Nature
Where art thy seat?
By thy magnificence, my intelligence is tortured;
At thy beauty, I dream to kiss thy feet.
Oh Mother Nature, your glorious presence do I feel;
So mighty are the waters,
So beautiful are thy hills;
So charming is thy greenery;
So delightful is thy kiss.
How my words begin to falter,
As I behold the dew;
Oh where is thy alter,
That I may bow to you.
Oh Mother Nature, the birds do honour you;
Excitedly roam they the sky
But never to reach its boundary.
Even as on my bed I lie,
Thou blesseth me with a luminous ball;
So deeply asleep do I then fall,
As I wait upon dawn's call.
Now twilight comes
And the lights grow dim;
Your tender kiss do I await,
As my eyes shut upon their rim.
