No PoV

Nate was currently at Home Depot with Jaden, since Jaden didn't have any proper furnitures in his room Nate decided to take him shopping for some of his basic needs, however it wasn't easy to bring Jaden here, since he refused to leave the lab, but thanks to Dr. Alicia and Nate's puppy dog eyes Jaden finally budged and agreed to go with Nate.

Currently the two were buying a bed for Jaden since he only had a futon and a pillow in his room.

"So what size do you want, a standard or a queen size?" Nate said as he was looking at the different beds.

"Seriously senior Nate you don't have to do this, besides I don't have the money for this, lets just go home." Jaden said as he tugged on Nate's jacket like a lost child.

"Oh hush now, your room lacks any of the necessary furniture, besides I'm the one paying for all of this, so don't worry about it." Nate said with a smile.

"T-That's worse! Please don't waste your money on me!" Jaden said with his eyes wide.

"It's really not a problem Jay, besides think of this as an apology from the guys at AoS for attacking you before you can explain." Nate said.

After yesterday's... incident Nate and Alicia gave the guys of AoS a very long lecture about asking questions first rather than jumping the gun and attacking someone who had no intention of fighting back, the guys apologised to Jaden but he told them that their actions were justified and they had no need to apologise since they were right to not trust him immediately.

"W-Well they're not wrong to not trust me... I did do a lot of horrible things." Jaden said with a sad tone.

Nate then smiled and patted Jaden's head, Jaden looked up and saw Nate giving him a warm and loving smile.

"Listen to me ok, you made mistakes, some being unthinkable and unforgivable, but you gotta move past them, remember 'You can't start the next chapter of your life if you keep re-reading the last one.' so move past that way of thinking and look towards the future, find ways to redeem yourself not just in the eyes of the people... but in yourself as well." Nate said as he patted Jadens shoulder.

"Did you get that from a fortune cookie?" Jaden asked.

"Nope... I got it from a milk carton." Nate said with a smile as the 2 heroes laughed.

1 and a half hours later

Nate and Jaden were now helping the employees move all the things they bought for Jaden inside of a moving truck since they didn't have a way to transport it themselves.

"Is this all sir?" The man in charge asked.

"Yeah, bring it to the address I gave you, a woman names Alicia Montreal will be there to receive them." Nate said as he signed the papers.

The moving truck then went on to its merry way to deliver all the stuff Nate bought for his new partner.

"So where do we go next?" Nate asked.

"I-I dunno." Jaden said.

"Hmmm... I'm kinda getting hungry, lets go to the mall and buy some food." Nate said as the two went on to the mall.

Mall

Nate and Jaden finally arrived at the mall to find a place to eat at, but Nate forgot that he was a famous superhero and was swarmed by fans, the two of them then began running... well Nate ran, Jaden just wanted to stay in place since they didn't know who he was... and he also didn't forget to bring a disguise with him, however Nate refused to run alone so he grabbed Jaden's hand and began running, now that people have associated Jaden with Nate they were now also determined to catch Jaden since he was close to Nate.

"THIS ISN'T FAIR SENIOR NATE, I WAS INNOCENT!" Jaden said as they ran away from the mob of fans.

"DONT YOU KNOW JAY, WERE PARTNERS NOW SO YOUR STRUGGLE IS MY STRUGGLE, AND MY STRUGGLES SHOULD ALSO BE YOUR STRUGGLE!" Nate replied as they continued running.

"THATS NOT FAIR!" Jaden yelled.

After about 45 minutes of running Jaden and Nate finally lost their persuers, how you may ask? They jumped from the malls 3nd story all the way down luckily landing on a bouncy castle at the bottom, after that they just bokked it out of the mall deciding to just eat when they get to their respective homes.

The 2 heroes were now sitting under a tree in the parking lot while drinking some milk tea.

"Hey senior Nate... can I ask a question?" Jaden asked.

"Sure, go right ahead." Nate said taking a sip of his drink.

"How can I be like you?" Jaden asked.

"What?" Nate asked confused.

"Yeah... how do I be more like you? You have it all, your brave, confident, strong, and people love you... how can I be more like you?" Jaden asked.

"Jaden... you CANT be like me... because your not me, no one is like me, I'm special because I try to be the best me that I can be... and thats what you should be aiming to do as well, don't be someone else... be the best you that only YOU can be, and the others you said... you have me all wrong, I am brave because if people see that I am scared then they will be scared as well, I'm brave so that others can be brave as well, and as for confident well I don't always have that, confidence is poison -especially in the battle field- I can't count the times when I was too overconfident and almost let my opponent get the jump on me, and as for streght well you gotta work for it, I didn't become strong instantly I needed to train both my body and mind, and as for the peoples love... well it wasn't always like that, people aren't really fond of masked vigilantes... but eventually they warmed up to me and I am sure they'll do the same to you." Nate said.

"I see... thanks senior Nate." Jaden replied with a smile.

"Think nothing of it Jay, now lets go back to the lab." Nate said.

"Y-Yeah." Jaden replied.

Nate and Jaden got on their respective motorcycles and rode back to the lab so they can eat.

However along the way the CV radio that was implanted on Nate's helmet suddenly rang.

'HELLO! HELLO! CAN ANYONE READ ME!? WE HAVE A PROBLEM AT THE STADIUM! A MAN WEARING A SUIT OF ARMOUR IS IN A RAMPAGE! I REPEAT A MAN IN A-' the feed said.

Nate then abruptly stopped causing Jaden to do the same.

"Why'd you stop senior Nate?" Jaden asked.

"Nothing, the guys back at the magazine company said I need to look at the pictures for the catalog and wanted my imput, they said it was urgent, so why don't you go on ahead and I'll catch up later." Nate said.

"Oh ok, be careful." Jaden said as he sped off.

'Sorry Jay... but I have a feeling that you still aren't ready for this... please forgive me.' Nate thought as he sped off towards the Arena.

Dr. Alicia's lab
A few minutes later

Jaden finally arrived and brought the plastic bags in with him, however when he got in he was greeted by a panting Alicia.

"Doc you ok?" Jaden asked.

"NO I AM NOT OK! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE? WHY ARE'NT YOU HELPING NATE!?" Alicia said.

"W-What!?" Jaden said.

Alicia then took Jaden's hand and dragged him towards the giant monitor where Alicia showed him a live feed of a black armoured man beating Steam Knight to a bloody pulp, Jaden's eyes widen as he grabbed his helmet and ran towards his motorcycle to help his senior.

A few mins ago

Nate was walking inside the arena where the man in black armour was just silently standing there, Nate then looked around and saw a few police officers laying on the ground, some where hurt... and some where dead, Nate gritted his teeth as he glared at the man.

"Hey... who are you and why did you do this?" Nate asked in a calm manner, but is silently furious.

"Answer is irrelevant... begin scan... scanning complete... 'Black Knight' system located... proceeding to elimination." The man said with a robotic tone.

"Yeah not gonna happen." Nate said as he took out his gun and his Burst Dragon bottle.

Dragon! -Glass braking-

Nate then puts the bottle in his Steam punk gun.

"Evolving Steam!" Nate yelled as he pressed the trigger.

-people screaming- -sound of sirens blaring- DRAGON! DRAGON! DRAAAAGONNN! BURST HAZARD!

Nate was now transformed into his Dragon burst mode as blue flames appeared beneath his feet.

"You'll pay for what you did today." Nate said as he took out a blue futuristic katana and holstered his gun.

"I gotta thank Carl for lending this to me." Nate said as he allowed the blade to absorb all the blue flames that were being released through his armour.

After about 3 seconds the blade glowed a brighter shade of blue as it began radiate heat.

Nate then took a stance and so did the mechanical villain.

The first to move was Nate as he dashed forward and swung at the mechanical rider who responded by jumping back, Nate didn't give it enough time to think as Nate hastily chased after it and swung once more, but the other rider was able to catch it between its hands, however as soon as the mechanical rider touched the blade his hands were covered in blue flames, the mechanical rider kicked Nate in the gut and lept backwards to extinguish the flames.

"How'd you like the taste of a blade that was made with the help of machinery and magic!?" Nate said with a smile as his blade glowed a brilliant blue.

"Scan complete.... Blade of unknown origin... proceed with caution." The robot said as he placed his guard up.

Nate then smiled under his helmet as he lifted the blade up above his head, he then swung his blade downward creating a massive arch of blue flames heading straight towards the evil bot.

"EAT FLAMES B**CH!" Nate yelled as he unleashed his attack.

Suddenly Nate's Dragon Burst armour began to combust as Nate slightly screamed in pain, he let go of the blade he was holding and removed the burst bottle from his gun, after he de transformed Nate noticed that his clothes we now slightly burnt.

"Damn, I still can stay in the dragon burst form for too long." Nate said as he stared at the bottle.

"Well... at least this is all over... I hope." Nate said.

Suddenly Nate heared footsteps coming towards the giant dust cloud, Nate focused on seeing if someone was there and to his surprise... someone was there... or more specifically something... it was the robotic rider, his left arm was missing along with half of its face, but despite all that he still looked fine... but Nate wasn't as lucky, due to the backlash of both using the sword and the Dragon Burst armour Nate's body was at its limit, not to mention that he has some burns in his arms, not so much that it'll scar, but still enough that it will hurt fo a bit.

"Well... s**t." Nate said as he stood up and grabbed his gun and his Hawk bottle.

Nate then shakily placed the bottle in his gun as it made a confirmation sound.

Hawk!

"H-High steam!" Nate struggled as he raised his gun in the air.

Hawk! HAWK! CRITICAL!

After a few seconds Nate was now fully transformed, He sprouted his mechanical wings and prepared to fly away to somewhere more remote or somewhere Nate can patch himself a bit, but before he can fly higher the mechanical rider grabbed Nate's leg, due to the mechanical riders immense weight Nate wasn't able to fly further.

"Target trying to escape, success rate... 0%." The bot said as he spun around and slammed Nate into the ground knocking the wind out of him.

"GAAAHHH!" Nate yelled in pain as he got the wind knocked out of him.

As he was laying there on the ground, his body slightly burnt, his stamina almost gone, and his body ready to shut down he glanced at the robotic rider and began standing up slowly, however the mechanical rider kicked Nate on the head knocking him back down, while in his weakened state the machine walked towards Nate and began beating him mercilessly, if now for his armour Nate wouldn't survive the beating.

With the AoS

The guys of AoS were currently watching as their friend was currently being mercilessly beaten by a robot with black armour.

Carl was gritting his teeth in anger, Lucas was radiating magic due to his intense rage, Jason was glaring so hard it could turn someone to stone and Elias's eyes glaring daggers at the bot, suddenly Carl slammed his fist on the table and stood up.

"I'm going to help Nate!" Carl said.

"And how exactly are you gonna do that, were on a plane that is 15,000 ft above the air and were already too far from the mainland for you to teleport." Jason said.

"ARE YOU EVEN WATCHING!? OUR FRIEND IS BEING BEATEN TO DEATH, WE NEED TO DO SOMETHING!" Nate yelled grabbing Jason by his collar.

"YOU THINK I DONT KNOW THAT, BUT WHAT CAN WE DO NOW!? YOUR TOO FAR FROM THE MAINLAND TO TELEPORT, ELIAS TURNED COMPLETELY HUMAN FOR THE DAY, LUCAS'S MAGIC IS ON THE FRITZ AND I'M MOLTING MY WINGS SO I CANT FLY!" Jason said.

Carl realising that Jason has a point let go of his collar and dropped to his knees.

"So what can we do... just sit here and watch?" Carl said.

"Maybe we don't have to." Lucas said with a smile.

"Yeah." Elias relied.

"What do you mean?" Carl asked.

"Looks like Nate's partner has arrived... and he came with a vengeance." Lucas said.

"What?" Jason asked.

They then pointed at the TV and saw Jaden in his cross Knight rising armour beating the s**t out of the one armed machine.

"Guess the kid really did mean well huh?" Elias said.

"Yeah... I guess I was a bit wrong about him." Carl said.

With Sera

Sera was currently watching the TV with tears in her eyes, she was in a photoshoot for a magazine when she saw the news about Nate, however when she saw Nate being beaten to death she ran towards the door to try and help him... but she was stopped by her manager.

"Seraphine where are you going?" The woman asked.

"I need to help my boyfriend maam!" Seraphine replied.

"Oh no I cannot let you do that." She replied.

"What!? Please let me go, he needs me!" Seraphine pleaded.

"I am sorry dear but it's too dangerous." She said.

Seraphine then broke down in tears.

"Please... please let me go to him." Seraphine begged.

The manager then helped her up and pointed at the TV.

"It would seem that... there is already someone helping him." She said.

Seraphine looked at the monitor and saw... Cross Knight... helping Nate and protecting him.

"Cross Knight... please... save him." Seraphine said as she looked at the white and gold villain now turned hero.

A few moments ago

The mechanical rider was now on top of Nate repeatedly punching him in the head, he then suddenly stopped and grabbed Nate by his throat, he then lifted him up in the air.

"Inquiry... location of the White Knight System?" The robot asked.

"You -gasp- wanna know?... It's -gasp- up your metal robotic a**!" Nate said with a smug smile as he struggled in the machines grasp.

The mechanical rider then began squeezing Nate's neck harder as Nate was now turning a bit blue.

"Inquiry... location of the White Knight System?" The robot asked once more.

"-gasp- I-It's... It's -gasp-" Nate began.

The machine listed closes.

Suddenly he was shot in the head by a bullet that made him let go of Nate, Nate then dropped to the floor coughing as the person who shot the mechanical rider kept of shooting the machine making him back off.

The mysterious saviour then finally arrived beside Nate and crouched beside him, Nate looked at his saviour and saw Jaden holding his gun.

"Are you ok Senior Nate!?" Jaden asked in a worried tone.

"I-I'm ok, sorry for -cough- not telling you about this -cough- I just thought you'd like to be out of the fighting for awhile... please forgive me." Nate said while coughing.

"There's no reason to apologise for Senior Nate, I understand why you did it, and... thank you for worrying about me." Jaden said.

"Now that your here let's take that thing down." Nate said as he struggled to get up.

"No stay there, your very hurt, I don't think you can fight in that state." Jaden said.

"But You can't fight him alone." Nate said.

"Don't worry I can... besides... I feel very angry right now." Jaden said as he help Nate sit upright.

"Ok... I trust you... because we're partners." Nate said.

"Partners." Jaden replied.

He then walked towards the machine rider before stopping a few feet away from him.

"White Knight located, please return to base for your next mission." The robot said.

"Oh I have my next mission... and it's standing right infront of me." Jaden said.

He then took out his belt and transformed into his normal form, the Cross Knight armour, he then took out his special gun and transformed into his Rising form.

"Inquiry... a-" Before the mechanical rider can ask his question Jaden began shooting the mechanical rider.

"I don't answer to anyone who hurts the one that saved me." Jaden said.

Jaden then rushed towards the mechanical rider and began slashing him with his blade, the mechanical rider tried to do a downward punch but Jaden was ablo to block it with his hand and slash him in the torso with his blade, the mechanical rider staggered back but Jaden didn't give him any time to recover as he began shooting once again, after about 10 consecutive shots Jaden once again rushed towards the mechanical rider with great speed, he then thrusted his blade on the mechanical riders stomach and with his momentum slammed him on a wall, Jaden then looked at the mechanical rider dead in the eyes as he deactivated his helmet revealing an angry glare.

"Listen to me you bald, half burn, war loving imbecile, I know your seeing me, and I know you were the one who sent this thing to kill my senior, so I am here to tell you this... send all the mechanical riders you want... but Senior Nate and I will destroy them all... then come for you." Jaden said as he reactivated his helmet and pushed something on his belt.

CROSS IMPACT!

A confirmation voice said as blue electricity flowed from Jaden's belt to his leg, he then walked 2 steps back and kicked the mechanical rider in the head so hard that it exploded.

Jaden then deactivated his armour and ran towards Nate, however he was already surrounded by media asking him alot of questions, Nate tried to tell them he was hurt and asked them to leave him alone but they wouldn't listen to him and continued pestering him.

Jaden then gulped and gathered all the confidence he has and confronted them.

"H-Hey leave senior Nate alone, he's hurt!" Jaden said stuttering a bit.

The media looked at Jaden with peering eyes, this caused him to instinctively take a step back, suddenly a male reporter stood up and glared at him.

"Hey aren't you the kid that tried to kill him?... yeah it is you your that murderer!" He yelled.

"N-No I-I d-didn't mean for all that to happen!" Jaden said.

"Save it kid, your nothing but a murderer, a criminal, a psychopath!" He yelled.

Jaden was now in the brink of crying... but then he heared a yell fro behind them.

"HEY!" Nate yelled.

The reporter turned around and was met with the most terrifying glare they have ever seen.

Nate then stood up ignoring the pain in his body and walked towards the reporter, when Nate was infront of him he grabbed him by his tie and made him look at him.

"How dare you say that to him... if it wasn't for him I would have died, also you can't judge him by the mistakes he made, you have no right to do so, now apologise to him before I lose all my patience!" Nate said angrily.

"W-Why... w-why do you care so much f-for a murderer!?" He asked in fear.

"He isn't a murderer... he is a hero... he is my partner." Nate said as he shoved the reporter back.

"HEY CAMERA CREW FOCUS YOUR CAMS ON ME!" Nate yelled.

The people holding the cameras did what Nate asked and pointed their cameras towards him.

"This young man right here saved my life today, yes he was the one who tried to take my life awhile back, but I already moved past that, so please as your hero... put your trust in me... and my partner." Nate said as he bowed.

Jaden then gulped and knelt infront of the camera's.

"I-I promise to be a hero just like my senior... so please give me a chance... you don't have to trust me fully, nor believe everything I have to say... but please... give me a chance!" Jaden said.

The people in the arena looked at each other, the camera crew turned their cameras off and just like that the media left the scene.

"Well that was easy." Nate said as he layed back down on the ground.

"Thanks for sticking up for me Senior Nate." Jaden said.

"No worries... also... please stop calling me senior, I am not your mentor, I am your partner, no Nate is just fine." Nate said.

"Ok... thanks Nate." Jaden said.

"No problem... now I better prepare myself... I am sure I am gonna get an earful from my parents, sister, and Sera." Jaden said.

"Don't forget Dr. Alicia, the rest of the K/DA ladies and the band AoS." Jaden added.

"UGGGHHHH FML!" Nate yelled as Jaden just laughed.

Somewhere in a base

"THAT NO GOOD BRAT!" A bald man yelled as he slammed his fist on his desk.

"Sir he destroyed the only working model we have, what is our next move?" A scientist asked.

"Did you locate a bio-weapon yet?" The man asked.

"Yes sir, the bio weapons that were dubbed Spider, and lion where found sir." The scientists replied.

"Then find them, also begin the assembly of another Demon Knight, this time make sure it can defeat both Steam and Cross Knight!" The man ordered.

The scientists nodded and ran out the room.

"Someday Steam Knight and Cross Knight... you will die." He said with a glare.
