Namjoon's POV
I grab all the stuff and toss it into the car, I see BamBam, Lalisa, and CL approaching. I instantly know that Jackson stayed behind. I bite my tongue and open the car door, they all get in and we head out in full reverse down the alleyway. When we make it into the street, we head in a other direction to the air port.
I hear someone crying, I could already guess who it is. I turn and to my surprise it's not Lalisa, it's CL. "You know we have to deal with losing people." I tell her. Her eyebrows knit and she just stares at me, slowly nodding in agreement. "Jackson is a professional, he knows how to defend himself. And if he makes it out alive, he'll contact us." I reassure her.
"What's going to happen to Jackson?" Lalisa asks frantically. "What ever Chuan wants to do to him." I tell her. She bites her lip, "B-But we have to go back and-", "What are you? An idiot? We can't go back for him, we can't risk your life for Jackson's." She then looks angry. "I want to risk my life for Jackson because he's my friend." She rebuttals.
"Well too bad, you don't get to make that decision." I tell her before facing forward. It's a quiet ride, "Everyone grab your bag, when the car stops, get out slow and walk fast but casually. I'll lead the way." I explain as bags are being passed around, I clinch my jaw, "I'll take Jackson's." I say. "Lalisa in the middle of us, don't make it obvious though. You stay close to me, Lalisa." Everyone nods.
The driver throws his hand back and passes me the plane tickets. We are seconds away from the airport, I turn in my seat. Ready to get out, the car stops and it's Go time. "Let's go." I say, before opening the door. We all walk out of the escort car, "Flight to Seoul Korea will be departing in one minute." Is announced in the airport. We all walk quickly, I grip the tickets in my hand and we are close to the gate for the plane to Korea.
The lady is about to walk away from the stand, when I call for her. "Wait!" I yell. She looks at me and I flag the tickets in the air. She smiles and reaches out her hand, I hand her the tickets. She counts them and hands me one back, oh.. right.
"Have a safe flight." She smiles. "Thank you." I nod to her and I push everyone before me. We all run down as fast as we could, and we're able to make it to the plane. Many people look at us, I let out a breath and push everyone to the coach seating of the plane towards our seats. "You sit next to me." I hold Lalisa's arm, she yanks her arm away from me.
I raise my eyebrow, after I get her to safety and she wants to act this way now? We can't go back for Jackson, it would be suicide! Jackson knows the drill, and we'll know our answers when we get to Head Quarters. We all get to our rows and I grab Lalisa's bag and put it in the cubby above us, then I put my bag, followed by Jackson's.
Lalisa sits next to the window, she instantly stares out through it. All the landing and departing planes are in view. I sit down and look at her. I lightly nudge her, "What do you want?" She asks, not even looking at me. Before I can answer the safety belt light goes off. Everyone is told to sit back and relax as the plane is beginning to leave the runway.
I stare forward, the plane shakes for a few minutes, before it smoothly glides in the sky. The safety belt light turns off and passengers are now free to move around the plane. "I'm just trying to tell you how things are, my job is to keep you safe. And even if we did go back for him, we wouldn't know if he was dead or not." I explain.
"You don't know that, you even said so yourself that he's a professional and he'd be okay." She finally looks at me with knitted eyebrows, I grit my teeth, "He made you leave, didn't he?" I ask. Her eyebrows slowly pull apart, "Well, yes but-", "He knew that it would be unsafe for you, don't you understand? He sacrificed his safety for you." She then looks sad.
"He did that for you, like how I have to keep you safe. Don't you understand?" I ask her. She slowly nods, I then feel a chill run up my spine. I grit my teeth, "Sit back." I whisper to her. "What's going on?" She asks. "Fucking listen to me." She sits back, "Look out the window or something, don't let anyone see your face." She nods and does what she's told. I let out a breath and sit back, I slowly look to the side to BamBam, CL and Gummy.
I look down and see Gummy's hand holding onto the arm rest as she points her index finger in the direction of the person. I look away from them before I look at the person, a man. He's wearing a trench coat and he has his phone out. On his screen I can clearly see that he has a picture of Lalisa on his phone. I clinch my jaw, he then stands up and heads to the back of the plan. I turn and nod to BamBam who nods back.
I stand up and swiftly turn to the back of the plane, in the process I tap Gummy's shoulder once and she takes my spot next to Lalisa. I walk up to the bathroom door and see the red 'occupied' sign is displayed. I lightly knock on the door. "In use." The man says, BamBam is now next to me. I nod to him and he pulls out a small pocket knife and lifts the latch, A plane stewardess walks up to me, "Sir you can't-" I look at her as I press my finger against my lips.
"It's important business, ma'am." I say, her eyes widen. She knows who I am, "Yes Sir." She whispers and walks away. I push the door open.
Before the man can yell, I force my hand over his mouth and smack the phone out of his hand and push him against the wall. BamBam is right behind me and he closes the bathroom door. "What do you think you're up to?" I ask him. I feel him shaking, I give him a demonic smile. "You know who I am, don't you?" I ask. I drop my hand from his mouth.
"The B-Boog-", "Unless you want to have your last words be in this bathroom, you tell me right now who sent you." I tell him. "Chuan, he sent me on the plane!" He yells, I cover his mouth. "Shut your mouth." I whisper and he quickly nods. "You were going to send him pictures of her?" I ask. He quickly nods, I chuckle. "Are you fucking stupid?" I ask him, he quickly nods.
"You haven't sent them have you?" I ask, he quickly shakes his head. I look over my shoulder and BamBam is already looking through the phone. "He didn't send them." He tells me. I look back at the man, "Well Sir, it's your lucky day." I whisper. "Really?!" He asks hysterically. I chuckle making his smile go away, "What do you think?" I ask him.
"Please don't kill me, I have a family and-" BamBam pulls out the glass face scanner and scans the mans face. "Daw Vit, 30 years old, been in jail two times, no family and has large amounts of debt with Chuan Juntasa." The man shakes and falls, sitting on the lid of the toilet. "Wow, and on top of all that shit, you're a liar." I look down at him, "Please spare me, I've done nothing wrong." I raise an eyebrow.
"Is that so? How many families have you killed under the orders of Chuan Juntasa? How many women have you raped? How many pounds of drugs have you smuggled? Until you tell me those numbers, you aren't leaving this plane alive." I bend over him, he shields his face. "We have a whole hour." I smile. There's then a knock at the bathroom door, I stare down at him. He says nothing, I tilt my head. "Occupied." He finally says.
"I need numbers Daw." I tell him. "N-Numbers? I don't know the numbers." He stutters. "You better count them up." I lean against the bathroom door, I slip my hand into the inside of my coat and pull out a pistol. His eyes widen, "Like I said before, we have an hour." I look at BamBam and he still has the knife in his hand. The man starts to shake as he begins to count his fingers and tries his best to calculate his sins.
BamBam hands me the phone and I look down at it, I text Chuan Juntasa myself.
-
Daw Vit- no sign of her, she must have gone back to Thailand to trick us.
-
I let it send and I push the phone into my pocket. The mans about to stand up when I raise my gun at him at the speed of light. He drops to the toilet again, "I've counted." He shakes. "Well let's hear is Daw, you're quite the math professional, aren't you?" I ask him, he sits still and I lower my gun.
"Families?", "Six dozen." I look at BamBam and he keeps tabs. "Women.", "Multiplied by three." I grit my teeth, "And drugs.", "Multiplied by five." I look at BamBam. "72 families, 216 women and 1,080 pounds of drugs." I look down at the man, his face is turning white, he might pass out.
"You're a sick fuck, aren't you?" I ask. "Yes, Yes.. I'm a sick fuck." He agrees with me. "Give me one good reason I should let you live." He looks around the room and tries to think of something. "I have a life, just like you do." His answer infuriates me. I press my gun to his head and he shuts his eyes. "Wrong answer Daw." I clock back my gun making him begin to sob. "You and I, we're nothing a like." I reassure him.
"You know nothing about me, and you're life will never be like mine.", "I think you misinterpreted what I meant." He quickly said, "Oh? Is that so?" I ask him and stand back, "Explain it to me Daw." I fake a smile and set my hand under my chin. "I meant that, you're alive right now like I'm alive right now." He says, his eyes switching to BamBam. I put on a poker face and point my gun at him again, "Don't look at him." I say to Daw.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry." He cries. I set my gun on safety and unload my gun. "You're getting off this plane with us, you understand?" I ask him. "Yes." He cries. "You run, you're dead." I tell him firmly. "Believe me, you won't get far." He nods quickly. "You even fucken think of looking at someone or telling someone, I'll shoot you on the fucken spot. I don't give a fuck, I'll kill you in front of everyone." I tell him. "Okay." He nods quickly.
I nod and look at BamBam as I slowly put my gun in my coat. To my surprise, the man lunges forward for my gun and I look down at him and shake my head and click my tongue several times. "That's a shame Daw, I really thought that this was going to work." I hold out my hand and BamBam hands me his butterfly knife. I flick my wrist and the metal bite handle flies down and the blade is straight out. "I'm sorry, I won't do it again. I promise." He cries.
"I can't trust you." I tell him. "Please." He cries even more. I push him back and press my hand over his mouth. "Just relax." I whisper, "It will all be over." I nod. I look back at BamBam and he's out of the splash zone. Quickly and swiftly, I press the knife into his neck, then out before blood can squirt on me.
It squirts all over the side of the bathroom, I stare at him and wait for him to stop moving. I kick his foot and press my fingers against the other side of his neck that I didn't stab, no pulse. I turn to BamBam and nod, he quickly cleans his knife and puts it in the right place. He steps out of the bathroom and I wait for him to leave for a few seconds, then I leave one hand on the door to hold the lock.
I slam the door and it locks, I pull it a couple of times and it doesn't open. I fix my coat and head back to the row where my seat is at. Gummy sits up and looks at me, I lick my lips and she quickly looks away from me. She takes her rightful seat and I sit back next to Lalisa, she looks at me. "Was he looking for me?" She asks, I just nod.
"Where is he?" She asks. I keep my face straight, she quickly gets the idea. "Oh." She whispers. "He attacked me." I add. She bites her lip and nods, "If it's what you had to do." She says simply. I just sit forward and say nothing more. The plane ride goes by pretty fast, no one tries to go into the bathroom that the dead body is in.
The stewardess had put up a sign that read, 'Out of Order' on it.
"Please fasten your seatbelts as the plane is going to land." Stewardesses announce, I quickly pull on my belt. I grip onto the armrests tightly. "What? Is the Boogeyman scared of landing planes?" I hear Lalisa tease me, "Shut the fuck up." I grit my teeth. She chuckles and luckily the plane lands.
I quickly unbuckle my and stand up, Gummy instantly holds me. I stare at the floor and she presses her lips on my neck. "It's okay." She whispers. "We're home." She tells me. I nod and hug her tighter.

Lalisa's POV
I stare at Namjoon acting really weird, I blink quickly and I look at BamBam. He just slightly grins. Finally Namjoon seems okay and we all grab our bags and exit the plane. A limo is in front of the airport, it's black and it's so shiny that you might go blind if you stare at it too long.
The windows are tinted and Namjoon opens the door, we enter quickly. A man, that I remember seeing the day before we left the safe house, is in the Limo.
Once we're all inside, the limo takes off and we all face this man. "Hi Lalisa, I don't know if you remember me. I'm Sehun, I run the Witness Protection Program that you're apart of." He looks around at everyone before looking at me again, "I hope today wasn't too much of a scare for you, these are trained professionals that will stop at nothing to keep you safe." He lets out a breath, "As you've seen today, all my employees and Jackson are always ready to sacrifice for anyone in seconds." He explains.
I then start to feel extremely sad to the thought of Jackson being possibly dead or taken, "Do you have any questions about what this program is or about where we are going?" Sehun asks me. I nod and he shifts in his spot, "If this pulls through and everything is okay, can I be an employee for you too?" Everyone looks at me. "Lalisa.. there's really nothing I can promise about that." My eyebrows knit, "I'd like to think that you'd want a normal life after this mission is over."
Everyone nods in agreement, except for BamBam. "Sehun Sir, I don't have any other family that care about me. In the time that I've been with your team, I've felt at home for the first time in years. I don't think that I'm willing to give all that up for a life of loneliness." My eyebrows knit and I try not to cry. He slightly grins, "I'm happy that my team has made you feel this way, we are a family. And I think that everyone would be excited to have a new member."
My heart start to fill with excitement, "But it's not promised." He adds, I nod quickly. "Now down to Business." Sehun starts, "We've located Jackson's location by his phone, and it turns out that he's going back to Thailand." It's quiet, and I'm the only one who says something. "What does that mean? What are they going to do to him? Is he alive?" I ask.
"That means something that I'm worried about." I stare at him, "See, Lalisa, Mafia leaders are very straight forward and are quite easy to read. It's very clear to me that the Japanese Leader didn't want Chuan to take care of his business in Japan, for what ever reason. Many Mafia leaders don't want to get involved with other leaders mess." I nod.
"We have several obvious predictions as to what Chuan is going to do with Jackson." He lets out a breath before finishing, "Jackson might already be dead, and they're using the phone to get us to go for him. Or Chuan is taking Jackson back to Thailand to torture and kill him. Bottom line is, we don't know if he's alive." I feel everyone's body stiffen up. "But we have to go back for him, right?" Sehun is about to answer when Namjoon talks before him, raging with anger and frustration.
"I've told you about that!!! Sehun is going to tell you the same shit, because what I told you is true! We can't go back for Jackson!" He yells at me. I turn to Sehun, "I'm afraid Namjoon is right.. Lalisa. We know the risks of going back for people, I know it may sound harsh, but we all learn from our mistakes and this is how we stop so many people from dying."
So they used to do it before, I guess once you're on your own it's every man for himself. I feel really bad for Jackson, if it were up to me, I wouldn't have left him behind. But I guess it's different for everyone. I know CL would have gone back for him, she loves him, right? She'd go back for him for sure.
**
It didn't take very long to get to Head Quarters, soon we were at a large one-story building. Strangely enough, the building didn't have a name on it. But I understand, they want to be undercover, that's the whole point.
We head up to the building, we walk through the glass doors. The tall walls and simple ceiling, makes me look up. A single desk is in a long hallway, the man that stands behind it nods his head to us and we walk up to the single door at the end of the hall.
When the door opens I'm surprised to see that we are headed into the direction of the inside of a elevator, not a hallway of some sort. The door closes when we're all inside, I wait for the elevator to move, but it doesn't.
I look around confused, maybe it's broken? Before I can question anyone, the doors open and I'm surprised by what I'm seeing. A huge room, the floors white and they seemed to glow. Many people behind white desks, Everyone wearing black. "Woh! This is the next level of Men in Black!" I exclaim, everyone looks at me confused. "What's that?" Sehun asks.
I feel completely embarrassed, "Never mind." I whisper. We all follow Sehun who walks all the way down to a door at the end of the isle. My eyes scan and look at men working on computers, literally all the workers are men. Not a single woman besides CL and Gummy. Most importantly, they're all very good looking. May I say, sharp jawlines everywhere. Mmhmm.
We make it into a huge office and he sits at his desk. "Sehun, there was a incident on the plane here." Sehun looks up at Namjoon, he waits for him to explain the incident. "There was a man that Chuan sent to look for Lalisa, he had taken a picture of her." Namjoon looks at BamBam. "Don't worry, we took care of business, here's his phone." Namjoon finishes. Sehun looks down at the phone in Namjoon's hand.
He finally takes it and sets it on his desk, "We have to keep this on the low, there are several cities that you can take Lalisa." A glass screen rises through his desk and lights up, it's a map of South Korea and the subway routes. "Tonight, stay here. We'll put you in a safe house, then we'll think of a secure city." Everyone nods, Sehun looks at me.
"I'm sure you're exhausted from all this running around, you will all be escorted to the safe house." He explains, I nod. "Thank you." I say. His face is serious, his dark brown eyes seem to stare into my soul. "I need to speak Namjoon and BamBam alone." He says as he looks away from me, and on cue Gummy and CL walk over to me. "Let's go." They both tell me.
We walk out of the office, and I'm about to look back through the glass door when blinds cover my view. I turn and look at CL, "Do you think they're discussing about me?" I ask her. "Not now Lalisa." I keep a straight face and we stand and wait for Namjoon and BamBam to come out of the office. I can't even ask a single question before Namjoon walks pass us, "Let's go."
Gummy gently sets her hand on my back and directs me to follow Namjoon. In a company like this, it's very hard to even have some sort of feelings. Everyone is like stone, they're hard to get to. Especially Namjoon.
**
For several minutes I've had to endure complete silence as we are escorted to the safe house, painful silence. I want to know a lot of things that I figure I won't get answers to. In the car, BamBam is sitting next to Namjoon. I wanted to be next to him, and hold his hand.
When we arrive to the safe house, it's way smaller than the one I stayed at in Malaysia. I've never seen the front of the safe house before, but I can guess that it was bigger than this. We all step out of the vehicle with our bags in hand, I instantly walk up to BamBam and he doesn't even look at me. My eyebrows knit.
When we step inside I don't even care about looking around, we're only going to be here for a night, there's no point in remembering it. Very little words are shared, Namjoon does the honors in setting up the rooming situation. BamBam is placed at the far end of one hall and I'm at the other end.
Something had definitely happened in that office that is making BamBam treat me this way, and for Namjoon to treat the both of us this way. Namjoon escorts me to my room and I'm assuming that he's going to lock me up because he has a key in his hand.
"What's the point in all this? None of this is going to stop me from having feelings for BamBam." I tell him as we enter my room and I drop my bag on the floor. "Get some rest." Is all he says, I try my best to shove him but he doesn't move an inch. "You know the drill, just sit back and shut up. Let us professionals worry about our job, none of this concerns you." He says sternly.
"Obviously, it is about me if you're separating BamBam and I." My eyebrows knit tightly together. I just see his jaw clinch and he shuts the door, before locking it. I stare at the door for a few seconds before turning to face the bed. Much smaller than the room I was in before, there's a twin bed, a night stand with a lamp, a small window and a tiny bathroom.
I let out a breath and change into my pajamas before getting into bed. I stare up at the ceiling, the shadow of the window and dancing trees has my attention before my mind goes off in a trans. This is all my fault, everything up to this point is my fault. My eyes water in frustration and I turn on my side and face away from the window.
I just pray that Jackson is okay, is he's not... I don't know how I'd live with myself.
