The prince of Auradon stared out of a window towards the island that had haunted him for as long as he could remember. The man beside him was measuring him for his suit that he would wear at his coronation, one that he was not ready for.

"How is it possible that you would be getting crowned king next month?" His father, the king came in with his beautiful wife next to him. "You're just a baby!" Belle playfully slapped his arm as she told him, "He's turning sixteen, dear." Ben greeted his parents as he was still being measured.

"Sixteen, that's far too young to be crowned king!" Beast proclaimed, much to his son's delight. "I didn't make a good decision until I was at least forty-two."

"You decided to marry me at twenty-eight." Belle glared at him. "It was either you or the teapot." He joked, making his son smile at his dad's childlike behavior. "Kidding."

"Mom, dad," Ben went to step forward only to be pulled back again, "I have chosen my first official proclamation." His parents gawked at him, encouraging him to continue. "I've decided that the children of the Isle of the Lost should be given a chance," the young prince paused, "to live here in Auradon."

They looked at him in shock, as he stepped off the podium and continued his talk. "It's just overtime I look out at the island, I feel like they've been so abandoned."

"The children of our sworn enemies, living among us?" The king asked his son in confusion. "We'll start out with a few at first. Only the ones who need our help the most." Ben smiled at them. "I've already chosen them."

"Have you?" The Beast took a step towards his son, not looking very amused at his decision.

"I gave you a second chance." His wife told him before turning to face her son, "Who are their parents?"

"Cruella De Vil, Jafar, Evil Queen," The prince trailed off, knowing that the next ones were his parent's least liked persons. "Queen Narissa and Maleficent."

The tailor yelped, dropping his pencil and notepad doing so.

"Queen Narissa? Maleficent?" The king yelled in anger. "They're the worst villains in the land!"

"Dad, just hear me out!" Ben begged. "No, I will not hear of it!" Beast protested. "They are guilty of unspeakable crimes." That's when the servants began to leave the room.

"But dad their children are innocent! Don't you think they deserve a shot at a normal life?" He pleaded. "Dad." Belle and Adam looked at each other. "I suppose their children are innocent." Adam gave in and left the room. "Well done." His mother told him before she also left the room. The soon-to-be king returned to the window, staring at the island.

Nia met up with her friends just as the purple haired one blew her hair out of her face. "Wow guys, you couldn't have waited for me?"

A mother with her child walked past them, and Mal went to take the lollipop from the child. "Sorry Nia. You were just too slow." Nia glared at Jay as two men approached the group of five.

"Stealing candy Mal, I'm so disappointed." Her mother, Maleficent, shook her head at her daughter's actions. "It was from a baby." Mal told her mother. Nia spaced out of the rest of their conversation as she studied the ring on her finger, the only thing she had left of her mom.

Nia was brought back to the scene in front of her as Carlos nudged her. "Oh! There's news!" Maleficent proclaimed. "You five have been chosen to go to a different school. In Auradon." Evie, Carlos and Jay tried to run, only to be stopped by Maleficent's men. Nia stood there in utter shock. They were just about to send her miles away from her home. From were she belonged and felt the most like herself.

Mal started to argue with her mom. "I'm not going to some boarding school filled to the brain with pretty pink princess-"

"And perfect princes." Evie sighed dreamily as Nia hit her arm. "Ew. And ow." She quickly covered up.

"Yeah and I don't do uniforms." Jay protested, "Unless it's leather, you feel me?" Nia rolled her eyes. She may love him, but he was sure as hell annoying.

"I heard they allow dogs in Auradon, mom says they're rabid pack animals who eat boys who don't behave." Carlos rambled off, and jumped as Jay barked in his ear. Nia had enough at this as she stepped forward. "I'm sorry but this is bullshit. You can't just send us away to some shitty place where all they do is sit and look pretty!"

"Nia dear,-" Maleficent started only to be cut off, "No! I'm not going. I don't care what you say, I am not leaving!" Evie went to calm her down, but Nia only pushed her away. Mia closed her eyes as her anger was about to take over. "Take me where I want to be. Away from all this misery."

"No!"

As Nia opened her eyes she stood outside of Ursulas' Fish and Chips diner. She stormed inside and heads were turned to her. "Uma!" Out of the back of the diner came a dark skinned girl with blue braided hair. Nia ran towards the girl, panicking. "They're sending me away."

"They're what?" From behind her, Harry and Gil came up. "Sending me away, you idiot!" Nia was about to punch Gil when Harry stopped her with his hook. "No, no dear. Wouldn't want any blood on those pretty hands of yours now, would we?" She glared at him, "Bite me." Uma and Gil chuckled at the two's behavior. They were always bickering like that.

Out of nowhere Nia's phone started to ring.  We have to leave now! - Evie

Nia groaned and rubbed her forehead. "I have to go. I'll see you guys later." She gave them all a short hug each before she sprinted out of the doors and to Mal's home where a limo was parked outside. She admired the long car. She had never seen one before and it was so shiny.

"Nia!" The brunette watched as her friends came towards her with bags over their shoulders as their parents gave them commands. Parents of the year right there. "We packed a bag for you." Nia gave Carlos a half smile as they climbed into the limo. Jay and Carlos immediately went to grab a whole lot of candy while the girls watched them in disgust.

Evie and Mal went to hold Nia's hands when they noticed that she didn't seem  like herself. "Is everything okay, Nia?" Nia looked at Mal and smiled, "Yeah. Everything is perfect."

And there we go! My first chapter of Lethal!. I just watched Descendants 2 and I got so many ideas that I just had to make a story.

I have yet to find out who I want Nia's love interest to be, so if you have any suggestions let me know!
