Chapter Twenty-Three: Bakrasur Arrives
An electric jolt went through Blikrot's body. He knew that feeling. He loved that feeling.
It was an alert that an enemy had been spotted, conveyed through a system of alerting that he, himself, had designed. Someone must have seen that witch, and shed his blood, as a mark of proof and allegiance, on a capture-painting with that witch's face on it.
Good. He felt excited. No need to hurry, though. His Infernos would also have been alerted, and no matter where on Heart this Witch was, the nearabout Infernos would capture her in no time.
But the possibility remained that she would defeat them. Again.
So he had to go wherever she was, after all. Blikrot walked to a table and looked at a capture-painting of the witch, glowing with a red halo. He placed his palm on it and closed his eyes, and immediately understood the witch's location.
'A village quite near the Forest of Falling leaves. Why am I not surprised,' Blikrot thought bitterly.
He stormed out of the room he was in and started walking towards the biggest mirror he had in his castle.
It would take months to travel to that village from his castle normally. But he was Blikrot, he could fly.
He had also learned recently how to walk through mirrors.

The villagers who had just come into the restaurant had surrounded the trio. One of them even closed the only door and guarded it for good measure.
"Let us go," Tiyasha said. "What have we done to harm you?"
"Shut up witch," the old man who had alerted Blikrot said, and then went back to his table and started struggling with his poached egg again, as if handing over witches to Infernos was his daily job.
The fat and grumpy restaurant owner, whose bulk had prevented Shivam from seeing the wanted poster behind his counter in the first place, came back from the kitchen inside, carrying some ham. He sensed the tense atmosphere of the room and asked, "What's wrong?"
The old man, who had finally managed to place a slice of poached egg in his mouth said: "What do you mean what's wrong? Can't you recognize that bitch? I alerted Blikrot..."
"What?" The restaurant owner was clearly disappointed. "But they ordered the biggest breakfast..."
Someone hammered on the closed door of the restaurant from outside. The villager who was playing guard opened it, and Infernos rushed in like bees from a broken hive.
One of them came forward and made an obscene gesture at Tiyasha. "Bow down to Bakrasur," he said.
'Uh-oh. Another Inferno hotshot,' Shivam thought grimly. He and Tiyasha eyed each other. Josh was scared to death, afraid that if the Infernos recognized him they would surely behead him, and he tried to hide behind Shivam.
"Don't worry Josh. We can get out of this," Shivam muttered in an unconvincing tone. Tiyasha looked at him incredulously, as the Inferno named Bakrasur started taking short steps towards them, followed by his men.
"In the name of air and smoke, skulls of Hecate! I invoke thee!" Tiyasha shouted, manuevering her hands through the air in a circular motion.
Numerous grey-black skulls materialized out of thin air, with the effect of stopping Bakrasur and gang in their tracks. "Bow down to Tiyasha, Bakrasomething or whoever you are," Tiyasha said, and hurled the skulls towards the Infernos by twitching her index fingers.
Before the skulls could hit or hurt the Infernos, Bakrasur clapped his palms, and a spear, which seemed to be made of blinding, concentrated white light, appeared in his hands. He slashed through the air with it, and the skulls of Hecate were consumed by white hot rings of flame.
"Tut-tut, witch. Do that again and I'll burn you alive," Bakrasur said.
And that destroyed whatever hopes Shivam, Tiyasha, and Josh might have had of getting out. In a matter of seconds, they found themselves being pushed towards the door by the Infernos.
"WAIT!"
Everyone looked around to see who had dared to command the Infernos in such a loud voice.
Shivam turned and saw it was the hooded figure who had been sitting quietly on the farthest table from the door, the one who had appeared to be suspicious to them.
"Let them go. If the rumours are true, if this witch has truly defeated Infernos earlier, then they are our only hope against Blikrot," the hooded figure said.
"You dare oppose Blikrot?" Bakrasur said, and got ready to use his spear again.
"Yes, infact, I do," the mysterious man said, and removed his hood.
