When Tiyasha saw the greyhounds leaping ferociously towards the young man named Shivam, she yanked her arm out of McGrath's grip. McGrath was surprised by her sheer force and her sudden rebellious action; she had been more or less like a puppet until then, watching quietly, and allowing the humiliation of being dragged by a man, but now fury burned through her veins and arteries. She would lay down her life, but not her pride.

At least not without a fight. Maybe her magic won't work again, but she had to at least try.

"In the name of air and smoke, Skulls of Hecate! I invoke thee!" Tiyasha yelled, while moving her hands through the air in a circular motion. Immediately, skulls that appeared to be made up of black smoke formed in the air, and they hit the greyhounds in a matter of seconds, before they had the opportunity of reaching Shivam. The hounds were shot up in the air--they hovered above the pines for a few seconds, and then plummeted back into the ground. They became completely still after hitting the ground with such speed, and Tiyasha hoped they had broken their skulls.

Shivam had not lost his consciousness yet. He tried to struggle up, but an unbearable pain burned in one of his thighs, and he whimpered down to the ground again.

The Infernos had been taken by surprise. The sudden onslaught by Tiyasha had stunned them into inaction. But now they chucked numerous knives at her: it was apparent that as long as they held their original knives in their hands, they could produce any number of knives just by sweeping their hands through the air.

Tiyasha had to do something about them, and fast. She directed the skulls of smoke towards the knives thrown at her, and when they collided, the knives simply disappeared. My magic is working. I can do this, she thought hopefully.

WHAM!!

A solid punch landed on the cheek of Tiyasha, and she toppled weakly to the ground. Immediately, the skulls that she had conjured began to disappear. McGrath had simply walked upto her and punched her, she had been too busy with the other Infernos to see that he was approaching.

"YOU COWARD! HITTING A WOMAN LIKE THAT!" Shivam had began struggling up again. Now the other Infernos directed their attention towards him.

"You fucking bitch...you think your stupid black magic will work against us? WE ARE INVINCIBLE!" McGrath said, unbuckling his belt while standing over Tiyasha.

It was quite clear what McGrath intended to do, and his intention replenished Tiyasha's fading strength. With all the force she had, Tiyasha kicked McGrath's balls.

Now it was McGrath's turn to taste the dust. As he fell to the ground, Tiyasha stood up and looked around. Some smoke skulls had lingered, and Tiyasha now sent them directly towards the other Infernos. As they were still trying to hit Shivam's throat with their knives, they didn't see the skulls coming. As soon as the skulls hit them, they dropped to the grounds, shrieking and struggling in pain.

Tiyasha turned towards McGrath, who was already getting up. Tiyasha kicked his balls again, and down he went again.

"You...bitch...you'll pay for this..." McGrath said.

"Stop calling me a bitch. Feel the WRATH OF MEDUSA," Tiyasha said, and made a slashing movement with her index fingers in mid-air.

McGrath could say nothing more, for his tongue turned into a stone, along with the rest of his body.

The other infernos had managed to get up from the ground, but when they saw the fate of their leader, they decided they didn't want to fight anymore. They began screaming "Witch! Witch! Killer Witch!" at the top of their lungs and fled the spot.

"Boy! How did you do that?" It was Shivam. He looked a bit like a zombie with all his wounds, but he was alive, miraculously.

Tiyasha smiled. How did she do it? How did her magic work on the invincible Infernos?

She decided it didn't matter. The truth was that it was a smashing defeat for the Infernos, and that was all that mattered. For the time being, at least.
