Chapter Forty-Four: It's Goodbye
Josh regained consciousness the next afternoon, much to the excitement of Took, who started jumping up and down on his stomach.
"Ow, Took. Don't do that," Josh said, wheezing. So Took stopped jumping, crawled up to Josh's face, and slobbered it with dragon-saliva by his tongue. "Oof, Took," Josh complained, trying to wipe his face clean.
"How you doing, bro?" Shivam asked. He was sitting beside Josh on the bed.
"Hey big brother," Josh said. "I've been such a fool," he added. "All of it was my fault. Those monsters..." Josh shuddered. He sat up on the bed. "Where are we?" he asked.
"In a place called the MediMen's Town," Tiyasha answered. She was sitting on the floor, leaning against one of the white walls. "The MediMen cured you and your big brother, Josh."
"What had happened to you?" Josh asked worriedly, looking at Shivam.
"I had died, apparently. But looks like Raisers don't really die when they die, so Tiyasha and Arthur and the MediMen brought back my life taking advantage of a lunar eclipse," Shivam said.
"Wicked cool!" Josh said, then corrected himself. "No, I mean, dying, that would have been..."
"It's okay, Joshy. I mean it is kinda cool when I think about it. It's dead scary, insane, but cool," Shivam conceded.
"I'm hungry," Josh said. "Hey, where's that tiffinbox the dragon gave us?"
"Right there," Arthur said, and went to fetch it.
"I don't think he should have pizzas after such a strong case of poisoning," Bell, who was sitting and half-dozing on a chair, said. John had gone out for buying some supplies for their house.
"The Trickstar Tiffinbox does not give us what we want, it gives us what we deserve," Tiyasha reminded him.
So the Tiffinbox was brought, and placed on the lap of Josh. He opened it right away, and said, "Okay. Give me something to eat, Tiffinbox dear."
A bowl of smoking hot gravy noodles popped itself into existence. It floated right in front of Josh, who began gobbling it down ravenously. Being poisoned was hungry work, he decided. "Hey Took. Why don't you eat something?" he said.
So Took asked for food too, and the Trickstar Tiffinbox gave him a fairly large roasted chicken. He started munching it happily, wagging his tail. Josh petted him for a few seconds, then went back to his gravy noodles.
Everyone decided it was time to eat, and asked for food from the tiffinbox. Tiyasha got a big cream cake. Bell got chicken cutlets, complete with salad and everything. "I love not having to cook," he said happily. Both Bell and John had been astonished when the tiffinbox had been used for the first time last night, and it had only convinced them further that Shivam was the People's Hope, who would end the tyranny of Blikrot.
Arthur got boiled vegetables. He grimaced. "Why can't I get chicken too?" he complained.
"Eat your veggies, mate. You deserve them," Shivam said, grinning.
Arthur shrugged, and started eating.
"Okay. So. When are we going to the Glaciers?" Josh asked, putting down his bowl of gravy-noodles, now empty. It vanished.
"We leave tomorrow, if your health permits," Shivam said. He didn't want to delay things any further. He felt as if he didn't have much time.
"So soon?" Bell asked, disappointed. He had been hoping they would stay here a week or so, and he would't have to cook.
"Yeah..." Shivam said, uncertainly. "Um, ah, and who are you again...?"
Josh looked towards Tiyasha, surprised. She threw her arms up in the air, exasperated. "Your memory's been doomed, Shivam," she said.
"Ever since the ritual," Bell said, nodding. "I am Bell, one of the MediMen," he said.

The Trio got ready to leave the MediMen's Town next morning. Shivam and Arthur had shaved their faces clean, and both looked fresh and energetic. Even Tiyasha looked much fresher, her hair clean, her face bright and shining. This Town had given them much needed respite, not to mention a chance of bathing and cleaning themselves. But now, it was time to move on. The Glaciers waited. Wherever the hell that was.
"Well, I guess it's goodbye then," John said. They were standing just outside the white building which housed Bell and John.
"Here, the bag. It contains the capture painting," John said, handing Arthur a leather briefcase with a long strap. Arthur took it, and wrapped the strap around his neck.
"Why do you want to carry the capture painting with you?" Shivam asked.
"I would like to figure out how it works."
"Yeah but how?"
"Well, I'll find a way, hopefully. And trust me, we need a briefcase. You don't expect to carry the tiffinbox and the packet of popcorns all the time, do you?" Arthur explained.
"Well, don't spill any blood on it the capture painting," Bell adviced.
"I won't," Arthur said quietly.
"Well, best of luck, People's Hope," Bell said, clapping the shoulders of Shivam.
"Defeat Blikrot, Shivam. It all depends on you," John said.
"I'll try," Shivam said, confidently enough. Then the trio and Took used the Popcorns of Air, and were gone with the wind.
