A couple hours later, Garrett was at Fluttershy's house, ready to sleep on the couch in the living room. Fluttershy's parents agreed to let Garrett stay over at their house as long as Garrett slept on the couch, which Garrett was willing to agree to. He was wearing some spare pajamas as Fluttershy brought down a spare blanket and a spare pillow. "I hope these help Garrett," said Fluttershy as Garrett took the spare blanket and spare pillow. "These will do nicely," said Garrett, "thank you Fluttershy. I gotta say, I think I'm getting the hang of using my front hooves to lift things instead of my horn. Err, I mean my hands." Fluttershy softly giggled. "So you know Princess Twilight?" she asked. "Well kinda," admitted Garrett, "I only met her a few hours ago. But I can definitely say she's somepony I'm glad I can befriend. She's the most beautiful mare I've ever seen..." He smiled and blushed, thinking of Twilight.

"Do you have a crush on her?" Fluttershy asked, smiling a little. "Well my experience in talking to mares is quite limited," admitted Garrett, "but yes, Twilight is one of the few mares that I've ever developed a crush on. Is it that obvious?" Fluttershy giggled, "I think it's cute. And I know what it's like to have a crush on someone too..." Garrett tilted his head and asked, "who's the guy?"

"Girl actually," corrected Fluttershy, "it's Rainbow Dash." Garrett smiled and said, "well that's nice. Have you told her that you like her in a romantic way?" Fluttershy shyly rubbed her arm and said, "no, I haven't..."

"You should tell her that you have a crush on her," encouraged Garrett, "I'm sure Rainbow Dash would be happy to have a mare, I mean lady like you for a special somepony." Fluttershy softly giggled and said, "the correct term is girlfriend. But I just might consider it. Thanks for the advice, Garrett. I hope you're able to get a good night's sleep." Garrett nodded and said, "You too Fluttershy. Good night." Garrett then tucked himself into bed and fell asleep. A few minutes later, Garrett found himself in the land of dreams, this time back in his unicorn form. A familiar voice then asked, "Garrett?" The unicorn stallion turned around and saw Princess Twilight there. "Oh hey Twilight!" Garrett said enthusiastically, "looks like the dream spell that Celestia and Luna cast works." Twilight smiled and said, "it certainly does. So how did your first day as a human go?" Garrett shrugged and said, "eh... I could have done better... I wasn't exactly subtle with acting like a human. But I guess I'll learn."

"Did you get to see your sister?" Twilight asked. "I did," said Garrett, "but it doesn't look good... Either Sunset doesn't want to try friendship, or your human friends don't want to be friends with her... I'm not saying the latter to be mean, I'm just saying that out of observance... She didn't even recognize me. To her, I was just another student. She's not even interested in befriending me..." Twilight gave a look of sympathy and said, "oh my... This certainly doesn't look good... But you're still going to stand by her, right? This is one friendship problem I wouldn't want you to give up on her..."

"You know I will," promised Garrett, "I'm not going to give up on my sister so easily. I'm sticking to my sister like I'm honey. Sounds a little stubborn doesn't it?" Twilight gently placed her wing on Garrett's shoulder and reassured him, "I'd say it's dedication and optimism. Which is a trait in you I respect. I believe in you, Garrett. Take all the time you need." Garrett quipped, "I just hope I can get to Sunset in time before Hearth's Warming. Thank you Twilight. I'm really glad to have you and the human Fluttershy for friends."
