NatsuxLucy

"Natsu," young Lucy called out, both frightened and excited at the same time, "come out come out wherever you are!" Lucy was in her back yard, searching for her pink-headed best friend for fun. She heard giggling behind the bushes and grinned an evil grin. She tip-toed to the bushes, trying to frighten her friend. When she pounced, her calculations were correct. She landed on Natsu, who screamed with surprise. "Mua ha ha! Now I'm going to tickle you to death!"

"No!" Natsu laughed once Lucy began to tickle his waist. "Not that! Anything but that!" Natsu, using all the strength, flipped Lucy to the ground, snickering maliciously. "Now it's your turn, Luuuuuuucy!"

"NO!" Lucy smiled. But it was too late. Her sides were already hurting from being tickled too much. She kept on laughing and laughing and laughing so much she thought she was going to we herself. Finally, Natsu gave up and just rolled by her side, taking deep breaths after laughing so much. "You...are...evil...," Natsu laughed.

"Idiot," Lucy breathed as well, "it's your fault for getting exposed. Didn't you learn to control your own laughter."

"I think we both know that's impossible." Lucy laughed at his comment. She knew very well that it would be impossible for her best friend to laugh. His laugh was so contagious that he would laugh for no reason, making Lucy laugh. She squeezed on to her fluffy bunny, who she named "Juliet". "When are you gonna give up that rabbit?" Natsu asked.

"Why should I? She's been with me since I was a toddler!"

"I know, and I love Juliet, believe me, but you're ten years old! Aren't you getting a bit big for dolls?"

"Just because your older than me, doesn't mean you can act like it," Lucy hissed. She slowly thought in mind about the age difference between her and Natsu. It was only a year, but soon it would make a huge impact on the both of them. "I can't believe your going to be in middle school next month," Lucy sighed sadly.

"Hey, don't be like that," Natsu smiled, rolling to his side. "You'll still see me around."

"But not as much as in elementary school! Your new school is twelve blocks from the elementary school!" Lucy cried, a tear coming down her face. "I'm scared that Natsu is going to find better friends than me and ditch me!" Natsu crawled closer to Lucy, smiling. It was true, Natsu was a whole year older than Lucy exactly, but that never stopped their friendship. Natsu was always drawn to Lucy's happiness and creativity. But there was also the way Lucy looked that drew him closer to her. Her hair has always been long, at least to her back, and was braided into pigtails. She wore big-black glasses that made her brown eyes shine, which fascinated Natsu. She also liked wearing dresses and skirts and pretended that she was "Princess of Bookland". Natsu wrapped his arms around Lucy and whispered, "Idiot princess. There's no way I can ever leave your side."

"You promise?" To Lucy's surprise, Natsu gave her a peck on the forehead, making her blush.

"I swear on my idiotic heart!"

"Well, that's a promise you'll have to keep." Lucy smiled as she snuggled next to Natsu as the sun lit down on them. "Natsu! Lucy! Time for lunch!"

Natsu sat up after hearing his favorite word. "Race you to the kitchen!"

"Oh, you're on!"

They raced to the kitchen, laughing, giggling, not having a single care in the world. Natsu promised that he can never leave her side. Will he keep that promise?

For the first few months after summer vacation, everything was still normal; Natsu and Lucy would hang out after school, do homework, and watch a late movie if Lucy or Natsu's parents allowed it. But slowly, things began to change. Natsu began to spend less and  less time with Lucy. Lucy tried her best to fit in with Natsu's new friends, but she had a feeling that they didn't like her. One night, when Natsu and Lucy was doing their homework, Lucy asked, "Our birthday is coming up soon."

Natsu's head looked away from his essay, suddenly realizing that next Saturday was December 31; the birthday that they shared. "Oh yeah! I've completely forgotten about it!"

"Are we still gonna combine our birthdays like we do every year?" She squeaked, squeezing Juliet in her hands.

Natsu sighed. "Of course we are. I won't break our tradition." But to be honest, he didn't want to share another birthday with Lucy. He was going to be twelve soon, and he thought he didn't need to be sharing birthdays with a little kid. He already asked his parents if he could just take  his friends to a ski resort, and they humbly agreed. She'll understand, Natsu thought. She should understand.

But when he told Lucy about his birthday plans, she didn't understand at all. "Why can't I just come with you!"

"Because you have to be twelve and older to actually ski on the resort!"

"But then who's going to come to my birthday party!"

Natsu groaned. "Don't you have a lot of friends! I bet if you just invite a few friends, they'll come and you guys will have a blast!"

Lucy sighed, giving up on the argument and continuing with her homework. "You're changing," she muttered soft  enough so that he couldn't hear.

That next week, no one came to Lucy's party. She invited every single boy and girl from her class, and not a single person showed up. While Lucy sat in her bedroom in silence, her mother and father came in. "I'm sorry that no one came to your party, princess," her father sighed.

"I knew no one was going to come," Lucy muttered, her face falling into her pillow.

"Maybe they just had plans, honey. You don't know why," Lucy mother said, sitting on the corner of her princess bed.

"It's because they don't like me," Lucy said.

"What! Why would they not like you!" Lucy's father roared, outraged at his daughter's word choice.

"It's because I'm a poor crybaby," Lucy sniffled, tears falling down to her pillow. She began to cry out loud, pouring out all her sadness and sorrows. Her parents looked at each other in a concerned way. "Lucy, everyone loves you, despite what you may think. Papa and Mama love you, don't they?"

Lucy looked up and nodded. She crawled to her mom's lap, who wiped away her tears. "We have a present for you, princess." They presented her with a small blue box with a white bow tied on the top. Curious, Lucy placed the present on her lap and untied the ribbon. She lifted the lid and gasped. Inside the box were two blue tiaras, one for Juliet and one for her, and a small typewriter that had her name imprinted on the side. "How did you afford this!"

"Papa worked very hard for you, princess. And Mama sold little blankets and clothes she made."  Mama revealed bandages on her fingers from sewing all those materials. Lucy smiled and hugged her mama and papa. "Thanks! I love you guys so much!"

"We love you too, princess. Now, I think Juliet would love to play with you on the front yard with her new tiara," her father chuckled. Lucy nodded and grabbed her stuffed white rabbit and the tiaras and ran outside. She giggled and laughed as she threw Juliet in the air. The sky began to growl with thunder and darken with the grey skys. One by one, drops of rain began fall on to the Heartfilia's lawn. "It's about to rain, huh Juliet. But that's never stopped us!"

Suddenly, Lucy heard the sound of Natsu's minivan pull up on his driveway. Anger and sadness began to flourish inside of her. I bet he had a great birthday, Lucy thought sadly. She crawled by the fence that divided her house from his. "Man, Natsu! That was the funnest party every!" One his friends, Gray I think, exclaimed.

"It was!" Elfman. "Remember when Natsu fell into that ice lake!"

"Oi, that wasn't funny at all!" Natsu growled. "I was so cold!"

"But you got a warm hot chocolate and that hug from that hot barista," Gray winked.

"Ah yes, highlight of my night," Natsu sighed. Lucy's heart began to ache as she contiued to hear Natsu's birthday. She decided to reveal herself and walk up to Natsu's porch. His friends noticed her first and shoved Natsu's shoulder. Natsu looked up and gave her a gentle smile. "Hey, princess! How was your birthday party?"

Lucy laughed nervously. "Actually, no one came."

Natsu's eyes widened. "What? But you invited everyone from your class?"

Tears began to spill down her eyes, but she still showed a brave smiled. "I guess they just...didn't want to come."

"Is she seriously crying over a birthday party, bro?" Gray snickered.

"And what's with that white bear with the hat?"

"Juliet isn't a bear!" Lucy yelled. "She's a whtie rabbit and she's wearing a crown, not a hat!"

"Whoa Lucy, calm down. It's just a dum toy," Natsu said. Lucy looked up at Natsu. "Natsu...why would you say that about Juliet? You were with me when I first got her? You even picked her out."

"Lucy, I was five at the time! You have to stop acting like a baby!"

Lucy couldn't handle it anymore. She released out all her anger out on her best friend. "You....You broke your promise! You promised that you would never change, but look at you! When was the last time we've played hide-and-seek, or you've given me a hug, or kissed my forehead!"

"Whoa dude, you actually do that?" Elfman snickered.

Natsu groaned with embarrassment. "Lucy, just get inside I'll talk to you later. You're getting soaked in the rain."

"No!" Lucy cried. "Not until you apologize to Juliet and me!" Outraged with Lucy's behavior, Natsu snatched Juliet away from Lucy's hands. Lucy stared at Natsu with horror. "You are getting to old for this stupid toy, Lucy! It's time to throw her away!"

"No!" Lucy screeched, tears falling out of her eyes like a waterfall. "Give her back!" Natsu raised the bunny up in the air, and Lucy tried to jump up to grab it, but she was too short compared to the tall Natsu. "Natsu please, your scaring Juliet! Please give her back!"

"You want her?" Natsu growled. "Then go get her!" Natsu, using all his strength, threw Juliet all the way to the middle of the street. "Juliet!" Lucy cried. She ran out through the rain, racing towards the street.

"Geez man, what a baby!"  Elfman groaned.

"Yeah," Natsu muttered. Suddenly, Natsu heard something from the other side of the street. He looked and his eyes widened.

A speeding car was heading towards Lucy's direction.

"Lucy!" Natsu called out. "Get out of the street! LUCY!"

Lucy looked at him with confusion. She didn't hear him at all. She turned her head and saw a giant bright light heading at her direction. "Huh?"

CRASH!!!!

"LUCY!" Natsu cried.

The last thing Lucy saw was the bright light heading her direction.

The last thing Natsu saw was Juliet flying in mid air, with splashes of blood on her body.

LevyxGajeel

Levy's story:

"Levy, darling," Levy's mother called through the intercom, "it's time to wake up now." Ten year-old Levy groaned and got out of bed. She roamed through her room and went downstairs. She groaned as she traveled down the stairs and into  the kitchen. There, she saw her mother, Josephine McGarden, making breakfast, her father, Eric McGarden, reading the paper, and her older brother, Lucas McGarden, reading Hamlet. "Good morning," Levy yawned, scratching her eyes.

"Good morning, Bookworm," Lucas greeted.

"Sit down, darling," Josephine commanded. "There's tofu and rice on the table. I'm making the fruit bowl right now."

"Okay," Levy obeyed. She sat down between her brother and father and stacked her plate with balls of rice and tofu. Her mother sat with them at the table with the fruit bowl, giving each place a clump of watermelon, grapefruit, and banana. "Levy, you're tutor is coming tonight, so make sure you have al your books."

"But it's New Year's Eve. Can't I please just enjoy the holiday," Levy dared to talk back.

"You start school again next week! You have to be prepared for the rest of your fifth grade year," Eric said.

"But I'm already way ahead of my class. I've already started geometry!"

"No buts, Levy!" Josephine hissed. "Now eat your breakfast before it looses its flavor." Levy obeyed and took a bite out of her bland tofu. She looked at her brother and asked, "Have you decided what high-school you're going to?"

"Not yet, but it should be easy getting into any of them."

"He's obviously going to Fairy Tail Academy! It's the greatest school in Fiore," Mother sighed. Levy sighed as well, but not with admiration. Both her mother and her father not only went to the academy, but they're now professors there. Josephine taught Advanced Physics and Honors Biology, while Eric taught AP Calculus and AP Ancient History. "But Mother, isn't that school really expensive?"

"One of the bright sides of being a professor there; the tuition is completely cut in half," Eric said. They continued to eat their breakfast in silence. Levy, building up all her courage, she asked, "Um, Mother, may I ask you something?"

Levy's mother looked at her through her menacing glasses. She wiped her short blue hair to the side and just said, "You may."

"Well...a girl invited me to a birthday party at Gamers Glamour, and it's before school starts, so I was wondering if I could go," Levy squealed.

"Absolutely not. Games rot your mind. It'll lower your IQ by fifty points. Our of question," her parents said in unison. Levy frowned. She knew they'd reject her offer. She ate the rest of her breakfast in silence while her parents and brother talked about academic topics. When she finished her breakfast, she stood up and asked, "May I please be excused?"

"Yes, you may," Josephine answered. "Please clean your room and tend to your studies."

"Yes, Mother," Levy obeyed. She climbed back up the stairs and closed the door behind her. "Same old everything," Levy sighed. Like her mother told her to do, she cleaned her room, and then stacked her books on her desk. She changed out of her night gown and into her sweat pants and t-shirt. She tied her long blue hair into a pony tail and placed her glasses on her head. She examined the books with boredom. "So we meet again, King Phillip."

Suddenly, she heard a knock on her door. Lucas came in, closing the door behind him. "Hey, I got you something."

"You did?" Levy asked. Lucas nodded. He sat on her windowsill and patted the pillow, telling her to sit next to him. She obeyed, waiting to see what he got her. He then unveiled a book. Levy examined it closely. "Is it a textbook?"

Lucas smiled. "No, it's not a textbook. It's a novel; a fantasy novel."

"But those aren't allowed in the house!" Levy exclaimed.

"I know, which is why I snuck it in from school," Lucas sighed. "You're ten years old, Bookworm. Even us McGarden kids need a little fantasy in their lives."

Levy looked uneasy. This was practically suicide in the McGarden house. No fantasy or fiction was allowed in their home, which was why about 80% of the channels on their TV were blocked. All books were examined jus to make sure everything was factual. "W-What's the book called?"

"Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's  Stone," Lucas said.

"There's no such thing as a sorcerer," Levy stated.

"That's the best part: this is all fiction. At least give it a go, okay?" Levy hesitated, but nodded. Lucas smiled and gave his sister a noogie. She squealed with laugher, telling her brother to stop. "Well, I gotta go study before Mom kills me. Hide that book well, alright?"

Levy nodded. Lucas left  her room, leaving her and the book. She stared down at the book with both fear and curiosity.  She flipped the book around and read the summary. "This...This is pure fiction! Nothing but fiction! If I'm caught with this, I'll be dead for sure!"

Then, she head the sound of thunder coming from outside her giant window. She looked out and saw drops of rain hitting her window. She stared at the book with temptation. She gently touched it and flipped the cover over. "Maybe I'll read a page, just a page!" She turned the page to the first chapter and read the first sentence out loud. "Mr. and Mrs. Dursley, of number four, Privet Drive, were proud to say that they were perfectly normal, thank you very much."

Gajeel's Story:

"Mom, I'm home," Gajeel said, coming into  his small apartment. He saw his mother in the kitchen making rock candy. She noticed him and smiled. "There's my boy! How was tutoring?"

"Hard," Gajeel sighed. "I hate being in middle school."

"Hey, don't say that! You're a smart boy, and you know it!"

"That's not what Dad says," Gajeel muttered. His mother gave him a soft smile. He could never forget how beautiful his mother looked. They both shared the same olive-colored skin and black hair, but he had his father's cold, hard eyes and muscle. He also happened inherit his Dyslexia, which has been a pain in his ass. "You want some rock candy?"

"Boy, do I!" Gajeel exclaimed. His mother placed the candy on the plate, and he immediately began to munch all of them down. His mother giggled. "You're going to get cavities, Gajeel."

"Even if I don't eat sweets I get them anyways," Gajeel muttered.

"You have a point, my boy," his mother sighed, rubbing his head. Gajeel stopped eating his candy and looked at his mom. "I...I think you should divorce Dad."

His mother's eyes widened. "And why on earth would I do that!"

"He hurts you, Mom! He yells at you and hits you and me and....I hate him!" His mother sighed. She frowned for a moment, yet put on a smile like she usually does. "Gajeel Redfox, despite all he's done, he's still your father. Do you know how hard it would be for you especially if we get divorced."

"I know, but-!" Suddenly, the door flew open, revealing Gajeel's father. He looked so drowsy and held a beer bottle. Gajeel looked away from his father in shame, while his mother smiled. "Honey, you're home!"

"Where's my dinner?" He asked.

"Ah, right here! I made meatloaf, your favorite!" She placed his plate on the table. Gajeel's dad pushed his mom to the side violently, making her hit the wall. "Hey, what did you do that for!" Gajeel yelled.

"Shut up kid and let me eat!" His dad roared. Gajeel sank in his seat as his dad ate the first bite of his food. He immediately spit out the piece in disgust. "What the hell is this shit!"

"W-W-What do you mean?" His mother asked nervously.

"This tastes like a cow's shit, Lauren! What do you think!"

"I'm sorry, I'll remake it right away," his mother said.

"You know what, don't even bother. Whatever you make is garbage anyways," his dad grumbled.

"Shut up!" Gajeel exploded. "You have no right to be speaking to Mom like that!" His dad looked at him with drunk eyes. 'What the hell did you say to me, boy?"

"Ever since you got laid off, all you've been doing is drinking and drinking and drinking! You abuse Mom and talk shit to me!" At that moment, his dad slammed his hands on the table, startling both Gajeel and his mother. He walked up to Gajeel and gave him punch in the face, knocking him to the ground. His mother screamed. "Nathan, stop!" She screamed.

"Shut up, bitch!" He punched his wife to the ground, giving her a bloody nose and lip. He walked over to the drawer by the front door and pulled out a silver gun. Gajeel's mother stared at the gun with horror. "Honey...where did you get that?"

"I've always wanted to do this to you, bitch."

"Nathan, sweetie. Please don't do this! I love you so much," his mother whimpered, tears rolling down his eyes.

"Mom!" Gajeel screamed, crawling towards his mother. His father kicked him in the gut, making him stop and cringe, blood coming out of his mouth. "YOU SIT YOUR ASS DOWN!" He pointed the gun towards his wife and cracked a smile. "Goodbye, Lauren."

BANG!

Gajeel's eyes widened with horror. "M...MOOOOM!" Tears fell from little Gajeel's eyes. "MOOM!" Blood was spilling from his mom's chest, her dull eyes staring at his. A tear fell from her eye, making him cry even more. He heard his father laugh to himself. "Maybe that'll teach you to actually cook better."

At that moment, Gajeel cracked.

He jumped on top of his dad, punching him. "What the fuck!" Gajeel was able to knock his father to the ground, breaking their coffee table. He kept on punching his father despite the fact that blood was spilling out of his nose. "Gajeel...stop!"

"Stop? You want me to stop? Did you stop, Dad!" Gajeel roared. Gajeel saw the gun in his dad's hand and swiped it before his dad could think. He pointed the gun towards his dad's head. His arms were shaking with fear. His father laughed. "You can't do it...You're too much of a pussy."

"Shut up!" Gajeel roared. "I can do whatever the hell I want!"

"No you can't. You've always been so timid that you couldn't even make one single friend."

"SHUT UP!" Gajeel slapped his dad with the gun, making him grunt with pain. Gajeel pressed the gun at the temple, getting ready to pull the trigger.

Then, a knock came from the door. "Hello, this is Fiore Police Department! There has been a complaint coming from this apartment."

"Go away!" Gajeel roared. "Just go away!"

Then, the door was kicked opened, and the police appeared, seeing Gajeel, his father, and dead mother. "PUT THE GUN DOWN!" The officer roared. "PUT THE GUN DOWN!"

"Wait, what? No, it was him! He killed my mother! IT WAS HIM!"

"Kid, just put the gun down and no one will get hurt you!"

"You should be telling that to my dad! He just killed my mother!"

"I'm...so sorry, officer. He's an emotional kid," his father moaned.

"Quick, get him!" The officer roared. All the cops jumped on top of Gajeel, swiping the gun away from him. One cop grabbed a pair of handcuffs and announced, "Kid, you're arrested for assault and homicide."

"What!" Gajeel screamed. "You can't do this! I'm only eleven!"

"Come on, guys. Let's put him on the squad car."

"Wait," Gajeel screamed, "you can't do this!" He looked at his mother one last time, tears streaming out of his eyes. "IT WASN'T ME! IT WASN'T ME!!"

And with that, he was taken from his apartment and into the police car, still screaming out the same words. But his words were drowned out by the sound of rain pounding against the car.

JellalxErza

Erza's Story:

"Left kick! Right kick! Upper cut!" Erza's grandfather yelled. Erza did exactly as he commanded, using all her strength on the dummy. "Lotus Kick!"

"Yes, sir!" She did the move.

"1000 Blade Punches!"

"Yes, sir!"

"And finally, a Swan Dive Chokehold!" Erza jumped up in the air and grabbed the dummy by the neck, slamming it's body on the floor. Erza looked at her grandfather. He nodded with approval. Erza smiled and lied down on the ground with relief. Her grandfather laughed. "You have done well, granddaughter. You deserve to rest."

"Thanks, Grandpa," Erza thanked, tying her into a ponytail. She wiped the sweat away from her forehead and sighed. Her grandfather handed her a popsicle. "You deserve it."

"Thanks!" She took the popsicle and began to suck on it. Strawberry, her favorite flavor. She moaned with delight. Her grandfather smiled. "You really have grown these past years...To think you're already a black belt at the age of ten."

"It's because of you, Grandpa!" Erza smiled, taking another lick of her popsicle. "I was able to beat a bully because of Grandpa's lessons!"

This caught Grandpa's attention. "A bully? Please do tell."

"Well, these big seventh graders tried were bullying a small third grader, so I took it into action and did my Flaming Monkey Upper Cut Attack! You should've seen it, it was like Bam, and then a POW, and with a final WHAM, I finished them without getting a scratch on myself."

Grandpa surprisingly sighed. "Do you have any girl friends, Erza?"

"All the girls in my class are too....girly. They called me a freak for practicing Judo, Tae Kwon Do, Karate, and even judged my meditation."

"What do you wear to school, Erza?"

"Um...I wear jeans and my grey t-shirt, why?"

"Well, maybe you should be  little more girly?" Grandpa suggested.

"It'll only just distract me from my training. I have to inherit the dojo when I'm older, right? I have to surpass Grandpa, which means I can't waist any time for shopping or boys."

Grandpa sighed. "You really are your mother's daughter. She used to say the same thing...at least, until she met your father."

Erza smiled. She admired her  parents; thought of them almost like gods. They were excellent in martial arts, won several championships, and even have seven other dojos in the country. "If I do find a guy I like someday, it had to be someone who's far stronger than me, which is impossible."

Her grandfather laughed. "Of course, my granddaughter. Now I have to leave for a moment. I promised your uncle I'd call him. He's having a fencing competition in Saubure."

"Tell him I wish him good luck!" Erza called out as her grandfather walked out of the dojo. Erza grabbed her kendo sword as she made the dummy stand upright. Erza, remembering the conversation, frowned. She was never girly ever since she first learned how to kick. She was the only girl who didn't wear make-up. She was the only girl so serious with sports. She was considered "The Boy" out of thirteen other girls. "Why....why am I so different?" She began to strike the dummy with all her might, beads of sweat falling down her face. Left shoulder, right shoulder, left chest, right chest.

Suddenly, she heard some talking from outside the dojo. She walked over to the window and saw two girls and two guys from her class: Dia, Sabrina, Mark, and Derek. "Hey, Derek! You're birthday coming up, isn't it?"

Derek nodded. "January third. I'm inviting almost everyone to the party!"

"Almost everyone? Who isn't invited?" Dia asked. Derek looked uneasy, kicking a pebble in front of him to the tree far away. "I'm not inviting Erza."

Erza gasped silently. He wasn't inviting her? But why not? Mark asked that same question, and this was how Derek answered. "She's just too...too...-"

"Manly?" Dia giggled.

"Burly?" Sabrina chuckled.

"Yeah, I guess that's it. She just scares me sometimes, you know?"

"Yeah, I know what're saying! Remember when she beat up those seventh graders! Now that was scary."

"Well, we're glad you're not inviting her. She sticks out from the girls. She wears no make up, I've never seen her in a dress or skirt besides our uniform, and all she ever talks about is sports! I mean, how lame is that?" Sabrina mocked, applying some lip gloss on her lips. Suddenly, Erza heard a beeping noise from the group. "The movie's about to start! Hurry, let's go!'

As her classmates ran away from her dojo, Erza just sat against the window, a tear falling from her eye. She could suddenly hear the sound of rain fall down from her open window. It's December...isn't it suppose to snow, she thought with sorrow. She quickly wiped the tear away. "Who cares what they think. Who cares if I'm not invited to some stupid birthday party." She threw her kendo stick to the ground and began her hand-on-hand combat.

"Who cares if they think I'm too manly!" She yelled through her teeth. "Who cares if I'm too strong for a girl!"

As Erza continued using her fury through punches and kicks at the dummy, she continued to yell, "Who cares if I don't wear a dress! Who cares if I don't wear make up!"

And when the dummy was about to fall to the ground, Erza finally yelled to the top of her lungs, "I am Erza Scarlet, heir to the Scarlet Dojo, and one of the greatest fighters of all time!"

The dummy made an echoing thump when it fell to the ground. Erza breathed heavily as sweat fell down her face. Her deep red hair that was once tied up now fell down over her face.

"I am Erza Scarlet. I need no one to judge me."

Jellal's story:

Loud music.

Drinks everywhere.

Girls everywhere.

This was something seventeen year-old Jellal disliked.

Him and his friends walked their way over to a booth, grabbing martinis for themselves. They were able to chat despite the loud music, but they were used to this noise, since this wasn't the first club they've been too. One of his friends, Ricardo, raised his glass and exclaimed, "Happy New Year's Eve!"

Jellal laughed, hitting his glass of champagne against Ricardo's and Enrique's. Jellal took a sip of his drink, shivering at the taste of alcohol running down his throat. Jellal looked at the environment he was in. People were dancing to dubstep music, twerking, grinding like the world was going to end their one goal was to get laid. "Well guys, we have one more year and we'll be out of here!" Enrique exclaimed with excitement.

"And thank God too. My mom's been nagging me so much lately I just want to rip her vocal cords out!" Ricardo groaned.

"Jellal, you're so lucky you live alone. You don't have to deal with all this shit," Enrique said, taking a sip of his drink.

"You guys complain too much," Jellal laughed. As he took another sip of his drink, Ricardo elbowed Jellal on the ribs. "Dude, blond at three o'clock! And she's checking you out!"

Jellal looked over and saw who they were talking about. There was a blond girl who looked about their age, staring at him with seductive eyes. She was wearing a strapless tight black dress that only went down to her upper thighs. She waved her hands at Jellal, pulling her hair behind her ear. Jellal sighed, brushing his fingers through his blue hair. "You should make a move, dude!"

"But I'm not really interested," Jellal answered.

"Not interested? Not interested! Dude, she's a babe!"  Enrique said.

"And it looks like she's really interested," Ricardo said, smiling at her friends. Jellal sighed. He wasn't into hooking up with anyone, especially with girls at parties. They all had a story behind their personality, and Jellal could detect it in minutes. "Do I really have to, guys?"

"Jellal, we go to an all boy school. Do you know how much of a rare opportunity this is,' Ricardo said, wrapping his arm around Jellal. He pushed his arm away, chuckling. "Alright, alright! I'll give her a go!"

"That's our boy! Now go on and get her!" Enrique laughed. Jellal took a deep breath, and then stood up from his seat. He walked over through the crowd of dancers and finally met up with the girl. "Hey," Jellal greeted.

"Hey," the girl said, twirling her blond hair with her finger. "The name's Ashley." That's not her real name, Jellal stated in his mind.

"Jellal," he stated. "You wanna dance?"

"Sure," the girl winked. She grabbed Jellal by the hand and took him to the center of the crowd. They began to dance like any other person; shaking their hips, swaying their body, doing some special dance moves here and there. "So, how old are you?" Ashley asked through the loud music.

"Seventeen," Jellal said. "What about you?"

"Ooh, a young man is what I've caught today! I'm twenty-two." Lie, Jellal said in his mind,  you have a little scar from a recent face lift. You're probably past the age of 28. After almost an hour of dancing, Ashley whispered in his ear, "You wanna go to a secret hide out?"

"Secret hide out?"

"Just follow me, cupcake." Jellal unwillingly followed the mistress to a back door in the alley. She slammed me against the wall and slowly began to kiss his neck. "So this is your secret hide out?"

"Mmmhmm," Ashley murmured. There was a loud clasp of thunder as drops of rain began to fall down from the dark sky. "It's starting to rain. Don't you think we should go back inside?"

"Nah, this just gets me...more excited," she whispered, trailing her lips up to his. Jellal looked down and too a glimpse of her purse, which was zipped open. There, he found a golden ring, which had to belong to her. Having enough of this, he pushed her away. She looked at him as if he was crazy. "What are you doing?"

"Don't you think your husband will kill me for doing this?"

Her eyes widened. "I-I don't have a husband," she laughed.

"Then what's that golden ring in your purse? Looks like a wedding ring to me," Jellal sighed.

Ashley continued to laugh nervously. "Is it wrong to a young wife to fool around a little?"

"You're not young either," Jellal said. "You recently had plastic surgery, did you not?"

Ashley stared at him. "Don't you think we  could just forget about me and just have a good time?" She tried to embrace him, but he pushed her away to the point where she fell to the ground. "Sorry, I don't deal with liars."

This time, Ashley cracked. She got up and gave Jellal and huge slap on the right cheek. It stung when Jellal touch his cheek. "You will NEVER find love with that...that curse you have!" She screamed. "NO ONE WILL EVER LOVE YOU!"

And with that, she ran off back into the club. He stood there against the wall by himself as the rain fell down on his face. He looked down at his golden watch and saw the time. "Three...Two...One," he muttered.

"HAPPY NEW YEARS!" Everyone screamed in the club. Jellal chuckled as he heard all the cheering and screaming. Ashley's words still echoed in his head. "NO ONE WILL EVER LOVE YOU!"

"Well, I'm fine with that," Jellal muttered. "I was not born to love."

 Six people.

Six lives.

Little did these people know that in the next six years, their lives would never be the same again.
