Angel found herself alone with Colt, feeling more powerful than ever after defeating the detective. She couldn't help but ask Colt why he extracts people's souls from their bodies. "I do it because I must," he replied. Gently placing his hands on Angel's face, Colt said, "Angel, please try to understand by stepping into my shoes for a moment... go back in time with me and experience things as I did." Angel spaced out for a moment, and suddenly, she saw what happened to Colt. He was being chased by someone dressed in all black. Colt ended up trapped in an alley, and the mystery person had a gun pointed at him. He got shot in the arm and passed out. When he woke up, he was dragged into an abandoned hospital to the second floor. "What...what are you doing to me..?" He asked.

The enigmatic individual didn't respond to his question, but instead softly spoke: "All I ever wanted was you, Colton. I'm truly sorry." He recognized it as a woman's voice – his own mother's voice! "I love you, Colt..." she expressed, her voice cracking with emotion. "But your father will take your life himself if I don't do this..." Gently, she placed a rope around Colt's neck and secured the other end to a railing. With a heavy heart, she pushed Colt off the second floor, leaving him suspended in the air. The moment Colt got hanged was the moment Angel woke up and yelled "NO!"

Colt started crying and Angel hugged him to comfort him. "I'm so sorry that happened to you..." She said.
