Angel decides to visit Colt, asking permission to come in as he had done with her. As they began to talk, Angel asked an "interesting" question
"What are you, Colt?" Angel asked.
"What are you talking about, Angel?" Colt questioned.
"You froze when you saw my blood, your face began to change, you only show up at night, you left my apartment when it was daytime, you don't wear shoes, you claim that you don't get cold, and I have a feeling you had something to do with our neighbor going to the hospital!" Angel said.
"So what are you?"
Colt had no words at that time and he decided to tell her the truth and confirm her suspicions.  "I'm a ghost Angel, I need souls or I'll grow weak and get hungry....then I'll fade away into darkness..." Colt said dejectedly.
"I've been 14 for a very long time, and that man who was with me isn't my father."
"H-how'd y-you die?" Angel stuttered.
"I'd rather not talk about it..." Colt whimpered.
Angel looks around Colt's apartment and among his old collection of puzzle toys, she finds an old photograph of Colt and Dave. Colt looks the same but Dave is a young boy like them.
"This is scary! I'm out of here!" Angel yelled.
Angel tries to leave but Colt stops her, only allowing her to leave when he wonders aloud what he's gonna do with her. On her way out Colt says: "This is why we can't be friends..."
At the hospital, the detective visits Larry and Virginia as part of the investigation. While he interrogates Larry, Virginia wakes up, showing her eyes have transformed into a ghost's. She notices the IV inserted in her arm and removes it to start sucking on the transplanted blood from the wound as a nurse comes in and opens the curtains, allowing the sunlight to come into the room. This burns Virginia! The fire spreads across the room and on the nurse as well.
Angel sees the news of the hospital fire while dining alone in her apartment because her mother had a city council meeting.
There is a sudden knock on the door: it's Colt.
"Can I come in Angel?" Colt asked
"I don't understand, you're always welcome here. Can't you just walk in?" Angel questioned him.
So Colt shows her why she needs verbal permission. As soon as he goes inside, Colt starts bleeding all over his body.
"Colt!" Angel screamed as she catches on quickly. "You can come in! Anything to stop the  bleeding!" Angel screamed
Colt stopped bleeding and Angel hugs him. "What was that!?" Angel shrieked!
"I don't know...but that happens when you don't let the ghost in," Colt said.
While Colt takes a shower to wash off the blood, Angel cleans the floor and washing his dirty clothes; she also starts playing some music. "Here's your clothes!" Angel said. "Thanks!" Colt replied. "Let's hope my mom doesn't come back too soon!" Angel said. Speaking of the devil, it's at that moment that Angel's mother comes back, so the kids run to Angel's room and Colt climbs out the window to return to his apartment.
