Chapter 8

The next day, after lifting weights in the school gym. Angel sees Griffin being bullied by his friend and brother, Gavin for his ear wound, his brother also takes his car keys. "See you never, little girl!" Gavin said. The boys feel sorry for him but Griffin tells them to shut up.
In the evening, Angel meets Colt and tells him about yesterday.
"I stood up for myself! I hit him with a stick and he got sent to the hospital! I almost got expelled!" Angel interjected.
"Good job Angel!" Colt said. "I'm so proud of you!"
"Thanks, Colt!" Angel said
Colt grabbed Angel's arm and pulled her close to him to kiss her on the cheek for a reward!
Then she takes Colt to an old abandoned apartment.
"A teenage girl who was my old neighbor introduced me to this! No one knows about it, we mostly played ping pong here" Angel said. Colt saw a radio and he turned it on to play some music. "What do you want to do?" Colt said. Let's make a blood pact!" Angel said. She took a knife and sliced it across her thumb. But unfortunately, the smell of blood is affecting Colt, but no matter how hard he tries to fight it, he can't. With his face turning into a monstrous shape he falls to the ground all frightened because the blood gave him horrible flashbacks. "Colt? You alright?" Angel asked concerned.
"Go away..." Colt replied.
But it's him that is the one who suddenly runs out the door and climbs a tree.
At that moment, Virginia comes by walking her dog with Larry following her from behind. Colt jumps on Virginia when he comes closer and starts sucking her soul out, but Larry pushes him off, and after some struggle against him, Colt runs away. Moments later, Angel sees how an ambulance takes Virginia away while she puts a bandage on her finger. She tries to talk to her mother but she's deeply asleep so she calls her grandmother instead.
"What's going on sweetie?" Grandma said
"Umm grandma, are ghosts real?" Angel asked
Her grandmother got rattled by the question and responded: "They are...what did you do to disturb the dead?" Grandma said. "I didn't, I was just wondering." Angel whimpered. "All you have to know is that ghosts are real, and they have unfinished business, if you meet a ghost don't fight it, help it," Grandma said. "Ok, thanks, Grandma!" Angel said.
Angel got worried that her new friend, maybe a ghost who wants souls...and it could be after hers.
