Death is Cold as Ice

❄ Narrator ❄

"Jack I'm scared," Jill said as the ice that laid under her skates began to crack from under her. What was once a beautiful day, now became a nightmare as fear came over the two siblings who had went skating.

"Don't worry, I won't let anything happen to you," Jack said as he placed his skates down, his feet now bare. Jack couldn't remember this day, the day that he slipped through the ice. For when he chose to stay, this memory was wiped away so he could not prevent his wish from coming true. So he could not prevent his own death. That is what he wished for after all.

Jack took a step towards his frighten sister. He then stopped, knowing another step would break the ice completely. His foot then kicked something, it was hard and it felt wooden, he looked down. There on the ice was the staff that he had fought with and carried for years, he grabbed it. Weighing it in his hand, what was once a powerful staff was now just a stick, a stick that would help save Jill. He had told Jill something to calm her down as he wrapped the hook end around her.

"Hold on tight, ready?" He asked his eyes not wavering from his sister's. She nodded.

❄ Mean While ❄

"Jack!" Elsa said urgently as she hopped out of bed. She swung her door open, making it slam against the wall. She looked frantically through the hall, wondering what room Jack could be in. She knew she had to hurry and wake him before...death was brought upon him.

"Majesty?" A maid asked shock as she saw Elsa in the hall way.

"Majesty your aw-"

"Jack! Where is he!?" Elsa asked frantically as she shook the maids shoulders.

"He's-He's in the guest room next to the nurse."

Elsa then bolted, running threw the halls. Her heart was beating fast, gasping for air as she ran wanting to reach him. Wanting to reach Jack, not wanting to lose him. Not wanting to lose this race against time.

As all of this was happening, Pitch and his partner watched diligently through Pitch's globe. They watched as Jack was almost to his death. As Elsa awoke, racing to wake Jack and save him from his deadly fate.

"Go Elsa, go!" Pitch said, cheering her on. His partner stood in silence, hoping that Elsa would make it there in time. Hoping that Jack would be saved.

(Okay, now everything is going to happen at once. So I hope you guys can keep up.)

"1..." Jack said looking at his sister. Elsa ran down the stairs and into another hall.

"2..."Jack's hands tightened. Pitch's jaw tensed as he thought, "She's not going to make it! She's not going to make it!"

"...3!" Jack Pulled, Elsa was only feet from his door.

Jack and Jill switched places. Jill was now safe on the white snow, as Jack now stood on the cracking ice. They looked at each other as everything fell silent, Jill's face was filled with terror as she saw her brother stand on the ice that was now breaking.

Elsa slammed the door open and she saw Jack laying on a white bed. His eyes closed as his body was lifeless. She ran to him.

"Jack!" Jill screamed and he fell through the ice.

"No!" Pitch screamed as his hands slammed against the globe.

Jack was now consumed in the ice cold water. His arms flaying wanting to reach the surface, the cold water filled his lungs and he began to cough.

"Jack! Jack!" Elsa screamed frantically as she began to shake him. Jack was coughing gasping for breath as he laid on the white bed. She knew he was drowning.

Jack was falling deeper and deeper into the ice cold water. Bubbles of air escaped his mouth, wanting to scream, trying to take a breath. He could see the moon and that's when he decided, he didn't want to die. He moved his arms and kicked his legs more aggressively through the water.

"Jack! Jack wake up! Jack!" Elsa shook Jack more furiously. His coughs had came more frequently as he began to thrash around. Fear had overcame her, she didn't want to lose him, she couldn't leave with out him. He was dying right before her eyes.

Jack was thrashing through the water. He was suffocating now, the ice cold water was filling his lungs, sending him deeper and deeper into the icy abyss. He had breathed he's last breath and that is when his whole world went black. when the world fell silent.

❄ Elsa's P.O.V ❄

"Jack?!" I froze. He had stopped coughing, which means he stopped breathing. My heart became heavy as I began to tremble.

"No...no! Jack wake up! Please wake up!" I begged shaking him again. His body was cold, a coldness that only meant death. I shook my head as tears stung my eyes.

"Jack wake up! Please wake up!" I shook him again. His face was white, his eyes shut and lifeless. I began to tremble even more as pain came over me. It became hard for me to breath as the pain of losing him stabbed my heart. My jaw tightened.

"Jack wake up! Don't you dare leave me! Wake up! Please..." My voice became a tremble, a whisper.

"Please...wake up, please." My lower lip began to tremble uncontrollably, my hands clutched his shirt tight. He laid there still, silent, lifeless, I began to crumble as tears stained my cheeks.

"No..." I began in a soft trembling whisper. "No, you can't be dead. you can't," I shook my head as I cried. I was shattered, I laid my head on his chest as I cried into it, I had failed. I...I lost him! I cried harder, he's...dead, Jack's dead! No...NO!

"NO!" I screamed as I cried, burying my face in his chest. Wanting to feel him, wanting to hear him, wanting to be with him once more. Please...please don't take him, please...don't take him! Please!

It came over me a like a wave, the pain and heartache. It felt like I was losing a part of me, a part of my soul, the part that belonged to him. Memories of him flashed through my mind as his words echoed through my head. The memories flowed in my mind with his own set of words.

"Elsa," and shivers ran down my spine when he always said my name. He would never say my name again.

"I won't let anyone or anything hurt you ever again," and his concerned face flashed in my eyes as I could feel his hand on my shoulder. It wasn't there, all I felt was coldness.

"DON'T YOU DARE TOUCH HER!" He screamed as Pitch put his lips on my skin. I would never hear his voice again.

"Better," He said as he intertwined his fingers behind my waist. I would never be in his arms ever again.

"Snowflake, my sweet snowflake." His arms had tighten around me that day. They will never tighten again, never making me feel safe and warm.

"I love you," He said with a smile on his face. I...I would never his beautiful smile.

"Good, because I plan to love you to the end of eternity and far beyond that."

I sobbed silently in that room, on the white blanket, on his hard firm chest. I sobbed with pain, with lost, and love. I was dying and all I could think of was...

Jack.

❄ Pitch's P.O.V ❄

I couldn't stand on my own two feet, it felt like someone had just punched me in the stomach. I wobbled as I tried to get a hold of myself and...I couldn't. I fell to my knees, my whole body tensed as I began to choke on the fact. On the fact that just happened, Jack Frost was dead. No...No! I shook my head, thinking it wasn't possible. Thinking that he couldn't of died, this couldn't be happening. But...it was, it was happening, but I didn't want to believe it. I was grieving, my heart was aching as I felt like I was crumbling and...I was. I pounded the ground with my fist and screamed in pain. My jaw had tightened as I gritted my teeth and with out knowing...tears began to stain my face.

I...I never wanted him to die. I...I never wanted to hurt him. I had no intention to, he...he was important to me believe it or not. I cared for him, ever since Manny had chose him and showed me who he really was. Who he really was to me.

I could just hear my partner sobbing as she stood feet behind me. I knew she was hurting, just like how I was, but I knew I was hurting even more. More than her and more than Elsa. They got to spend time with him, to see him smile, I...I never had the chance. I never had the chance to see him smile, to make him laugh, it's...it's not fair. Why...do things have to be like this. Why? What did I do to deserve this, to be so feared and hated. To be rejected, why? Why am I like this, why am I the king of darkness? I never asked for this, I never asked to be this way or become this...this monster. So why, why did you make me this way, why? Why Manny?

"WHY!" I screamed letting all my anger and rage escape.

Why....why me?

❄ Manny's P.O.V ❄

I burst through the doors of Saraphine's throne room with rage. She was sitting on her golden throne, her eyes closed as she concentrated, her long dark red hair framed her face perfectly as her bangs covered her forehead. Saraphine was one of the head council, the youngest of all the council, she was the Angel of life and death. She gave life and took it when it was their time, she was only 20 when she died and I chose her. I actual chose her the same year I chose Pitch.

"Saraphine!" I demanded as I looked upon her. She slowly opened her eyes, her vibrant purple eyes looked upon me.

"What is it Manny?" She asked.

"It's Jack, you can't take him. You can't take him from us! We need him!"

Her eyes narrowed as she stood up from her throne, her black and white dress flowing on her body perfectly as she stood on her bare feet. Then she spread her wings as they came out of her back, her right wing was white and pure as the white snow while the other was black and tainted as the black night.

"Don't you think I know that, why do you think I was concentrating?!" She told me in a stern tone.

"So you haven't taken him yet?"

"I wasn't planning to."

"Then why is he dead, where is his soul?" I asked urgently.

"He's not dead. He may look dead but...I can't find his soul."

"What do you mean?"

"I can't find it, part of it is still connected to his body but the other half is-Ah!" She gasped out in pain and she crumbled to the ground as she held her stomach.

"SARAPHINE!" I yelled and rushed to her side, kneeling on the floor as I held her in my arms. Her eyebrows were together in pain as she clenched her stomach.

"Saraphine, Saraphine what's wrong?" I asked concerned and she looked at me.

"A soul, she's...ahh!" She shut her eyes from the pain.

"What...what is she doing? What's happening?"

She opened her eyes again, they were glowing their vibrant purple. "She's...trying to find him. She's...trying to cross over...she's trying to find him. She's trying to find Jack. Manny...it's her."

My eyes widen, "Let her cross over. Let her find Jack."

"But Manny-"

"I'll watch over you, I won't let anything happen to you. Let her cross over, let her bring him back. This might be our chance to bring him back," I begged her. She looked at me shocked and then she smiled.

"You really care for this boy, don't you?"

"Like he was my own son."

Her smile got wider, "very well then." She closed her eyes and her body began to glow as she laid there in my arms, she was letting the soul cross over. I was amazed, I had chosen this girl 300 years ago and her power just seemed to grow and grow. Her power might surpass my own one day, it might already have. I was proud of her, when I found her she was this innocent and sweet girl who just wanted to live, but in the end...she became this, the Angel of life and death. But she loves it this way, she can help people, give life and take it when it is their time. She is not evil or good, she's not a saint or a demon, no...she was the perfect combination. The reincarnation of light and darkness, she was not the combination of white and black, no...she was gray. The perfect combination.

"I'm counting on you...go and save him...go and save Jack Frost."

❄ Who's? P.O.V ❄

Where...where am I? Who...who am I? What is this place, why is everything so...white? So...blank? I'm standing but I can't see the ground all I can see is...white. What...what's going on? What's happening?

"Do you remember what happened to you," I voice asked, but I couldn't see anyone.

"Who...who are you?" I asked confused.

"Do you know what happened to you, where you are?" She asked sweetly as her voice filled the space.

"No...what happened to me? Who am I? Where am I?" I asked my eyes moving around the white space that surrounded me.

Suddenly a ball of light shined in front of me. I covered my eyes from the brightness as it soon dimmed, letting my eyes adjust. Then I got a better look at the ball of light...no, not a ball of light, but a figure. The light was in a figure of a girl, I couldn't see the girl, all I saw was the outline of her. But from what I could figure out, I could see she was the same height of me and had long hair that went to her hips.

"Do you know who I am?" She asked tilting her head to the side. I shook my head and, even if I couldn't see it, I just knew she was smiling.

"Should I?" I asked her and she slightly nodded her head.

"It's been a while since we've seen each other. But that doesn't matter now..." She paused before she continued.

"Now, you need to listen to me." She said, seriousness in her voice. I nodded.

"Your name is Jack Frost, your a guardian."

The moment she said my name flashes of my memory began to come back into my mind. Elsa, the guardians, Manny, Pitch, Jill, how I...died.

"Wait, I'm dead...I can't be dead," I told her in a frantic.

"Because you decided to stay instead of listening to your own conscious warning. You had wished to die, did you not? You had sealed your own fate, by choosing to stay."

I clutched my head in agony. I...I could just picture Elsa crumbling, crying next to my cold dead body. Hearing her scream out my name as I gave out my last dying breath. It killed me, just killed me seeing her this way, knowing that I had cause her grief. Why...what have I done? I promised, I promised her that I would stay with her forever, I'm an idiot.

"But..." I looked up at her.

"You could choose to die and come with me. Leaving the people who love you grieving back on earth. And see the family you so utterly desire to see. Or you can go back and live out your life with the woman who loves you."

My eyes widen as she began to glow more vibrantly as she began to rise off the ground, her hair flaring at her sides.

"The choice is yours Jack Frost...life or death?"

I looked down and began to ponder as I weighed the cons and pros in my head.

"What will you choose?"

Hi guys, sorry for the short update but I wanted to put a major cliff hanger. Also I introduce to characters I would like for you to remember, "Saraphine the Angel of Life and Death" and this "Soul" Character. Remember them, they will be later on in the story.

So last update I asked you this question..."Why does Pitch want to save Jack from dying?"

And these were your choices:

A) he will lose his deal with his partner.

B) He needs him to get Elsa to the dark side.

C) He is going to use him to get Elsa in some way possible.

E) Or he actually cares for the boy named "Jack Frost." (and I know it should be "D".)

And the answer is.................................ALL OF THEM!

The answers are all correct, so what ever answer you chose, you were correct.

Read, Read some of my other books (Phantom's Angel), Vote, Comment, Write, remember the two characters, What will Jack choose?, and...

I'll see you when the next Storm Hits.
