Today I'm talking about Pokemon that are incorrectly typed. This being, I'm talking about Pokemon that look like they're a totally different type than they actually are and what type they shouldve been instead.

Pretty straight forward yeah? Let's go!!!

1. Drapion

Drapion is a Dark Poison type. Thing is, Drapion is a scorpion and it's pre evolution, Skorupi, is a Poison Bug type. Why did Drapion lose it's bug typing? Drapion should still be a bug type!!! How in the heck is it not a bug type!?

2. Solrock

I've ranted about Solrock before on this book lol. Solrock is a Psychic Rock type. Thing is, I've been playing Pokemon for about 17 years now and have forever thought Solrock was a Fire Rock type. Nope! How is Solrock not a Fire type!? Thing is, Solrock is in the shape of the sun!!! Solrock can also use fire type moves. So, tell me, how in the heck is Solrock NOT a fire type?

3. Lugia

For the longest time I thought Lugia was a Water type. It's not... Lugia is actually a Psychic Flying type. Again, how!? I understand how it's a flying type, but why Psychic? If Lugia can create tsunamis and is considered to be the God of the sea next to Kyogre, it SHOULD be a Water Type!!!

4. Groudon

Same argument as above with Lugia, you'd be surprised to learn that the Legendary Pokemon that lives IN A VOLCANO isn't a fire type. Groudon is a pure Ground type. I understand how it's a Ground type, it's the God of Land afterall, but why can't Groudon be a Ground Fire type? Most of Groudon's moves are already Fire type, furthermore all its moves are lava related, so why not make it a fire type as well?

5. Tynamo, Eelektrik & Eelektross

Tynamo, Eelektrik and Eelektross are all eel Pokemon. Eel live in the sea correct? You'd think an eel, and an electric eel at that, would be Water electric type yeah? NOPE!!! These three Pokemon are pure Electric type AND the only three Pokemon in existence with no weaknesses. Honestly, yeah, they're OP because they have no weaknesses but I won't deny that they shouldve been Water Electric type either.

6. Luxray

Luxray is a pure Electric type. Despite how freaking dark and predatory this thing looks, it's a pure Electric type. Sorry, Luxray shouldve also been a Dark type. I mean, Luxray can only learn Dark & Electric type moves anyways...

7. Lycanroc

Lycanroc is a pure rock type, and that's perfectly fine!!! But would it be wrong to say it should've also been a normal type considering theyre based on a common dog? Better yet, Lycanroc should've gotten different types based on what form it has. Midnight Lycanroc should've been Rock Dark type as it took this form due to evolving at night. Midday Lycanroc can be Rock Normal due to how, well, normal it looks. OR Fire Rock type, considering that Midday Lycanroc can learn Fire Fang and that it evolves during the day. Dusk Lycanrock can remain a pure Rock type since it didn't evolve during the day nor night.

8. Pumpkaboo & Gourgeist

I thought that Pumpkaboo & Gourgeist were fire types for a while... I thought they were fire types because of the move Will O Wisp and that you put candles into a pumpkin to light them up, these two actually glow as well as if a candle is lit within them, but these two aren't fire type. Instead, they're Grass Ghost type. Honestly, they should've been Grass Fire type or Ghost Fire instead.

9. Hisuian Goomy, Sliggoo & Goodra

I THOUGHT THESE WERE WATER TYPE!!!! I cannot stress this enough, I thought they were water types but NOPE!!! I thought that since the whole Snail inspiration was stronger than ever and that live in a swamp that they'd be a water type but they're Steel Dragon instead. Steel? REALLY!?!?!?!

10. Hisuian Zorua & Zoroark

These two extinct foxes are Normal Ghost type. Honestly, I would've never guess they were Normal typed. Considering how they were introduced & that they're found in a snow Tundra that they'd instead be Ice Ghost type or even Dark Ghost type. Dark Ghost because they're nicknamed the Bitter Malice Pokemon. Or even better yet, Zorua & Zoroark should've been pure Ghost type. EVEN FURTHER when Hisuian Zorua & Zoroark were introduced, It screamed Psychic type to me! All that I know is that Hisuian Zorua & Zoroark should NOT be a normal type.
