If Fictional Characters were Pokemon Trainers

Bouncing off of last week's update, what if fictional characters were Pokemon Trainers? I'll be taking Fictional Characters from anime, movies, or in this case, a band and giving them their own teams of Pokemon.

Sit back and enjoy 5 of these teams.

1. Murdoc Niccals from Gorillaz

Murdoc is the founder and bass player of the band Gorillaz. People often question whether he's human or not since his appearance is goblin like on top of the fact that he's a proud worshipper of Satanism. His abusive nature is actually what brought this band together & thankfully his time in Gorillaz has mellowed him out & made him a better person be it still problematic.

1. Wobbuffet: To represent 2D, the band's lead Singer. Murdoc likes to beat up on 2D just for the sake 2D is always happy to some degree. What better choice than to pick Wobbuffet the blue happy punching bag for 2D?
2. Corvisquire: Because Murdoc rescued an abandoned baby raven & named it Cortez.
3. Rillaboom: Killing two birds with one stone, Rillaboom is a gorilla and the band's name is Gorillaz. Also, their drummer, Russell, is gifted at percussion which is where Rillaboom's drummer gimmick comes in handy.
4. Multistrike Urshifu: Murdoc has dubbed the band's guitarist & co-writer, Noodle, an Asian Axe Swinging Princess. Noodle is not only a daughter to Murdoc but she CAN kick some serious butt with her Kung-fu. She's beautiful & follows Buddhism.
5. Single Strike Urshifu: To represent Cyborg Noodle. Noodle had temporarily left the band and in response, Murdoc created an evil Cyborg version of Noodle as so the band could continue.

2. Goro Akechi from Persona 5

Dubbed as the Detective Prince, Goro Akechi was one of the main antagonists within the anime and game for Persona 5. As his nickname suggests, he's a teenage Detective and a famous one at that. He was placed in charge of the Phantom Thief case before Secretly joining them.

1. Decidueye: When Akechi outed himself as a Persona user to the Phantom Thieves, his persona turned out to be Robin Hood: A symbol of Justice who'd wield a giant bow while leading his merry Men. Decidueye is a bird archer who surprisingly represents Akechi's first persona well.
2. Corviknight: Of course, Akechi wasn't the Justice seeking 'Detective Prince' the Phantom Thieves knew him as. At the height of Shido's Palace, Akechi outs himself as the Black Mask the Phantom Thieves had been hunting for the entire game and the man responsible for the mental breakdowns. Corviknight represents Akechi's black mask alter ego as they're both black armored ravens.
3. Zoroark: When Akechi outed himself as the Black Mask, it turns out his persona wasn't Robin Hood but rather the shapeshifting God of Mischief himself, Loki. Zoroark is a shapeshifting Mischief craving fox.

3. Kotetsu Kaburagi-Tiger & Bunny

The main character of the anime, Tiger & Bunny, Kotetsu aka Wild Tiger, is the least popular hero in his city. When his manager tells him to retire OR save his reputation by becoming a popular hero's sidekick, Kotetsu reluctantly agrees to becoming a sidekick only to recieve a complete makeover and realize they don't get along.

1. Cinderace-To Represent Kotetsu's partner: Barnaby aka Bunny. Barnaby not only specializes in a kicking fighting style, much like Cinderace, but his hero suit is designed after rabbits.
2. Salazzle-To Represent one of Kotetsu's close friends and fellow hero: Nathan aka Fire Emblem. Nathan is a non-binary who presents themself very feminine. From having fire powers with a strong interest in female fashion, it's only right that they're represented by a Salazzle.
3. Alolan Marowak-To represent Lunatic, a vigilante who deems Kotetsu a true superhero. Lunatic has the powers of blue flames and goes around dealing out his definition of 'justice' both onto criminals and heroes he deems unworthy.
4. Smeargle-To represent Kotetsu's daughter Kaede. Kaede's superpowers allows her to copy the abilities of the last super powered individual she's touched.
5. Froslass-To Represent Blue Rose, a very close friend and hero to Kotetsu. Rose is often, and wrongly, exploited for how 'sexy' she is to the point she briefly quit being a hero. She also has Ice superpowers. It's only right that Rose is represented by Froslass, a feminine ice monster.
6. Boufallant-To Represent Kotetsu's best friend and fellow hero, Rock Bison aka Antonio. Technically there isn't a bison Pokemon, so Boufallant the bull will have to do.

4. Link from The Legend of Zelda

Princess Zelda's appointed knight AND the one chosen by the Master Sword, Link vows to serve the royal family and save Hyrule from Ganondorf through whatever means necessary.

1. Castform: I feel Link would need a Pokemon capable of adaptability to the many climates Hyrule has to offer. Castform being the weather Pokemon, would be the perfect match! From being able to adapt to the scorching sun of the Gerudo Desert, weather out the heavy rains of the Zora Domain or brave the bone chilling cold of the Tabantha Wastelands. Castform is that perfect adaptable travel companion worthy of being Link's partner.
2. Golem: To represent the Goron Champions, Daruk & Yunobo. Gorons are a strong heavily protected race within the Zelda Universe who live on the side of a volcano and eat rocks all the time. Golem not only looks like a Goron, and rolls around like a Goron can, but it's rocky shell is similar to Daruk's protection.
3. Zeraora: To represent the Gerudo Champions, Urbosa & Riju. The Gerudo are almost exclusively desert female warriors. The Gerudo Champions hold the ability to control lightning. Zeraora is a Fighting-Electric type mythical of whom fits the bill of a Gerudo Champion quite well.
4. Palafin: To represent the Zora Champions, Mipha & Sidon. Zoras are 'sea folk' who's designs take after sea bound mammals such as sharks, dolphins & mantarays and are the best swimmers in the Zelda Universe. There's such a lack of shark Pokemon, so it's only right to make Palafin the representative for the Zora as they're very strong heroic sea mammals.
5. Decidueye: To represent the Rito Champions, Revali & Tulin. The Rito is a race within the Zelda Universe who are anthropomorphic bird creatures who excel at archery. Much like the Zora, Ritos aren't designed exclusively after one bird but can be ANY bird as they can look like owls, hawks, macaws, etc. Decidueye is an anthropomorphic Owl who specializes in archery.
6. Aegislash: To represent Link himself. Link is the holder of the Master Sword who is often seen sporting his signature blade in his left hand and a shield in his right.

5. Howl Jenkins from Howls Moving Castle

Howl Jenkins is a secondary character within the book and film: Howl's Moving Castle. He's a wizard who has serious commitment issues & a Narcissistic personality to boot. Always changing his name, has a moving castle as so he's never bound to one place. Book Howl & Movie Howl couldn't be anymore different lol.

1. Litwick: To represent Calcifer. Calcifer is a fire demon who serves under Howl. Litwick is a candle who feeds off of humans, Calcifer is Howl's literal heart. I think it correlates pretty well.
2. Spinarak: Because Book Howl loved the spiders in his home for some reason lol.
3. Duskull: Because prior to the events of the book, Howl bought and cherished a sentient golden skull that turned out to be the missing king's skull.
4. Cacturne: Because in the movie, Howl appreciated the turnip headed scarecrow that followed Sophie around. Cacturne is a scarecrow.

Which team made the most sense?
Any fictional characters you'd like to see as a Pokemon trainer.
