If Disney Characters were Pokemon Trainers

Have you ever wondered what teams would Disney Characters have if they were Pokemon Trainers? Well, look no further as today I'm going over five Disney movie Protagonists and what Pokemon they'd raise. Majority of the Characters have teams of Pokemon that represent important people to the character in question.

1. Mirabel from Encanto:

Mirabel from Encanto, characterized as a misfit with a love for arts and crafts. Mirabel, despite how wrongly her family treats her, she loves her family deeply and will do whatever it takes to keep the family together which includes unearthing the truth about the forbidden family member: Uncle Bruno. Mirabel's Pokemon team will draw inspiration from her own family.

1. Zorua: Mirabel would have a Zorua to represent her cousin, Camillo. Both Camillo and Zorua are mischevious shape shifters.
2. Castform: To represent Tia Pepa. Both Pepa and Castform have connections to the weather.
3. Machamp: To represent Mirabell's sister, Louissa. Louisa is very very strong yet she also tries too hard to juggle all of her responsibilities. Like a Machamp, both are strong and Machamp can juggle MANY things But not everything before succumbing to its 'surface pressure'.
4. Maractus: To represent Mirabell's sister Isabella. Although Mirabel & Isabell have a thorny relationship, Once Isabella realizes she can make more than just flowers, the first thing she conjures is a cactus and that wound up becoming her favorite plant to make. It's Both prickly yet pretty.
5. Maushold: To represent Uncle Bruno. Mirabel clearly loves her Tio Bruno and he's very clearly a shy lovable rat who loves his family. Yes he's got pet rats and Maushold are mice but I'm sticking with the family idea.

2. Moana

Moana is Disney's Polynesian princess and arguably one of their best. Moana is unlike the other princesses as she has a thirst for adventure and can kick butt while doing it. Picked by the ocean as a baby, Moana has the Ocean as an ally as they must traverse the ocean, find Demigod Maui, and save the ocean from destruction.

1. Lechonk: Because Moana has a beloved pet pig named Pua and Lechonk fits the bill surprisingly perfectly.
2. Torchic: Because of Moana's awesome pet chicken, Heihei. It also doesn't help that there isn't any other chicken Pokemon but that's perfectly fine.
3. Alolan Exeggutor: Because Moana is set in Hawaii, coconuts are very important to her culture AND she fights Kakamora: Coconut adorn pirates.
4. Manaphy: it's only correct to give one of Disney's most badass princesses AND one that has the power of the ocean 'loosely' at the palm of her hands a mythical of whom is crowned as a child of the sea.
5. Tirtouga: At the beginning of Moana, Moana saves a baby Sea Turtle. Tirtouga will be the sea turtle in question.
6. Mantine: To represent Moana's late grandmother whose spirit animal was a manta ray.

3. Lilo from Lilo & Stitch

Lilo from Lilo & Stitch isn't any ordinary kid. She's quirky, has many hobbies & values family more than anything. After wishing for a guardian angel to watch over her, an alien Lilo has named Stitch crash lands on Hawaii where Stitch pretends to be her dog in order to evade the danger of the Galactic Federation hot on his tail.

1. Comfey: Due to Lilo's heavy interest and respect for Hawaiian culture given she's Polynesian herself. Lilo is often wearing a Lei or will put one on Stitch. Since Comfey is a Lei, Lilo would no doubt own one.
2. Bellossom: Going hand in hand with Comfey's entry, Bellossom is a Hula Dancing Pokemon. Lilo, at first, didn't take hula dancing all that seriously but by the end of her film, and the sequels, Lilo had a newfound respect for Hula Dancing.
3. Banette: I bet you're thinking 'why would Lilo own a serial killer for a Pokemon?' And it's a bit odd. Originally a loved toy, Banette actively try to locate and kill the child that abandoned it in the first place. Considering Lilo's longing for friends & belief of found family, she also has her beaten up voodoo-esque stuffy named Scrump, Lilo would 100% take in a Banette & give it a loving home it rightfully deserves.
4. Rotom: To represent the 2nd Cousin of Stitch Lilo ever met. Sparky is Experiment 221 and the Experiment of focus for the sequel to Lilo & Stitch. Sparky, as his name implies, can utilize electricity and even go into electronic appliances.

4. Ariel from The Little Mermaid

Ariel from The Little Mermaid is the daughter of King Triton, King of the sea. She's always been captivated by the wonder of humans, even growing a crush on a prince. In an effort to find her true love, she makes a legal deal with the sea Witch in order to transform from Mermaid to human.

1. Cramorant: in the Live Action Little Mermaid, Scuttle the Seagull, Ariel's human world friend, was instead changed to be a Gannet. Cramorant IS a Gannet.
2. Krabby: To represent Ariel's companion, Sebastian. Surprisingly, there aren't too many crab Pokemon.
3. Stunfisk: Because Ariel's friend is named 'Flounder'. Stunfisk is also a flounder.
4. Primarina: the only mermaid Pokemon we have.

5. Hiro Hamada from Big Hero 6

Hiro Hamada, a gifted 14 year old, dreams of attending his older brother's 'nerd school' after his brother shown off his life's work: A robotic nurse named Baymax. After the passing of Hiro's brother however, he falls into a deep dark depression before Baymax comforts Hiro and they realize there's more to his brother's death than they initially thought.

1. Snorlax: no other Pokemon fits the bill of Baymax more than the OG marshmallow boy himself. Many praise Snorlax for just how powerful they are despite their sleepy almost cuddly design.
2. Charmeleon: Let me tell you, I could not come up with anyone that fits the bill of Fred more than a Charmeleon. Fred's Hero suit has him taking on a reptilian almost dragon like form where he can superjump and spit fire! Charmeleon might not technically be a dragon, but he's reptilian, can breathe fire and looks surprisingly similar to Fred.
3. Boltund: To represent GoGo. GoGo is one of Hiro's friend's whose obsessed with inventing a superspeedy mode of transportation that later became part of her hero alterego. Boltund is one of the fastest dog Pokemon and sports Gogo's color scheme.
4. Porygon 2: To represent Honeylemon. Honeylemon specializes in chemical engineering and her super suit allows her to control and create elements and chemicals on the fly. I decided the Pokemom best suited to represent her is Porygon 2 as they're code Pokemon whose specialty move is Tri Attack which allows the Pokemon to simultaneously attack using fire, ice and electricity much like Lemon can.
5. Scyther: To Represent Wasabi. Wasabi's area of Interest focuses in on lasers which later carried over to his hero suit as he sports laser hands. There's admittedly not too many blade hand Pokemon😅

Any other Disney Characters you'd like me to take a jab at?

Which team made the most sense?
