Fanmade Regional Forms Part 3

You guys really seemed to enjoy the last few regional variant updates, so I'm here to deliver once more.

Enjoy!

1. Eiscue

One look at this fanmade regional form of Eiscue and I IMMEDIATELY thought of the Nobels aka The Celestial Dragons from One Piece. I admittedly HATE the Celestials, heck I think we all do, but if Pokemon happens to do another crossover-ish Pokemon like Obstagoon and Nacli then I feel this is the right way to go! I feel that this regional form would be Water-Dragon type because One Piece is a pirate anime and the Celestials have bubbles on their heads but also the Dragon typing because they're referred to as Dragons and that they brand their slaves with Dragon claw markings. It's f-ed up yeah, and I KNOW Pokemon would never do this, but Pokemon HAS done crossover events with One Piece many times in the past.
Let a fangirl dream.

2. Yamask

Regional Forms & regional specific evolutions IS the way Pokemon has treated the Yamask so far with Yamask receiving a regional form but also a regional evolution of Runerigus instead of Cofagrigus. What if Yamask had another regional form? Yamask is a VERY Popular Pokemon in the fanbase when it comes to regional forms and this picture is just the tip of the iceberg. This regional form of Yamask has it carrying a pillow and looking mighty tired while it's regional evolution has it evolving to become the monster under your bed. I absolutely love this concept! I feel the Lore that could surround this regional Yamask, especially since Yamask is canonically people who died then later became a Pokemon. I feel this particular Yamask's backstory would be people or children who died in their sleep and later reincarnated as a Yamask. I feel this idea works INSANELY well as dying in your sleep is considered one of the best ways to go, this is how a good chunk of older people die, babies die of asphyxiation in their sleep all the time and that people with seizures often die in their sleep as well. This regional Yamask makes perfect sense too as a Psychic Type as Psychic types have a multitude of sleep related moves like Sleep Talk, Dream Eater, Hypnosis, Nightmare and so on. I wouldn't be surprised if Pokemon does go this direction with a future Yamask regional form.

3. Wooper

Wooper is another Pokemon that I'm almost certain Pokemon will continue to give regional forms considering the amount of love Wooper & Quagsire get from the fanbase but also the amount of potential they carry. Wooper did just get a Paldean form and regional evolution afterall. We surprisingly have a good handful of Axolotl Pokemon but none of them look like a traditional Axolotl. It took me 15+ years for me to realize Mudkip is an Axolotl/Mudskipper Pokemon and the same goes to Wooper who's Johto form IS an Axolotl but it's Paldean form is a Mudskipper. What if Wooper got a regional form for the captive/pet Axolotls that we know and love today? Yup, that's what this fanmade regional form did, they made Wooper and its evolution look like the Axolotls that we keep as pets since Axolotls are near extinct in the wild as of now. I wouldn't be surprised if Pokemon did this, and I hope Pokemon eventually it DOES happen.

4. Roserade

You guys KNOW how badly I want a Mexico inspired Pokemon besides Hawlucha, and this fanmade regional form DELIVERED! This fanmade regional form of Roserade takes on a Mexican inspiration as the roses on its forearms are instead replaced by marigolds which are a symbol of life in Mexico and often used in their Day of the Dead/Dia De Los Muertos celebrations. Roserade's face also looks like a skeleton which also is an important trait during their Dia De Los Muertos celebrations as they wear skull masks. This regional form of Roserade perfectly represents Mexican culture while still looking beautiful. I WANT this to happen, but something tells me that unless Pokemon makes a Mexico inspired region, this regional form will NEVER see the light of day.

5. Infernape

Quite a bit of the fanbase don't realize Infernape's inspiration of which is the Monkey King aka Sun Wukong. It honestly don't make sense as to why Infernape is a Fire-Fighting type when Sun Wukong is often depicted as a monkey warrior who ride on a Thunder cloud and possess the abilities of electricity. What if a future Legends game gave us Chimchar as a starter Pokemon and it's regional form takes from its origins of the Monkey King? This fanmade regional form of Infernape definitely touches base with its origins as the flames on Infernape are replaced with electricity and its riding around on its cloud Steed. Once again, don't think Pokemon would do this BUT I wish Pokemon would go back in and give Infernape the proper representation it deserves.

6. Weavile/Sneasler

This fanmade regional form for Hisuian Sneasle was inspired by a leak of Legends Arceus that revealed the silhouettes for the ride Pokemon. I literally won't deny, I wish THIS is what Sneasler was! I don't like Sneasler, not in the slightest. If Sneasler looked like this fanmade Evo of Weavile I would be 100% happier. Atleast now Sneasler looks like an actual evolution from Sneasle rather than Sneasle going through a little bit of puberty and growing out her hair a bit.

7. Smeargle

I firmly think Pokemon would eventually give Smeargle the regional form treatment and this fanart made me want it more than ever before. I'm 100% this regional form of Smeargle was inspired by Grafaiai that was introduced in Scarlet & Violet and if you ask me, Pokemon MESSED UP in not giving us this. Smeargle having a rivalry with Grafaiai over territory and painting skill just sounds perfect! I WANT to see this happen! I'd make Smeargle a Dark-Normal type or Dark-Poison type as Grafaiai is a Normal-Poison type due to the poisonous berries they eat.

8. Stonjourner

Stonjourner is another one of those Pokemon that SCREAM regional variant potential. From Stonjourner already looking like the Stonehenge of England, it's VERY easy for Stonjourner to look like other landmarks such as the white pillars that make up architecture of Greece or in this case as pictured above, the architecture of what many believe to be the underwater ruins of the City of Atlantis. Pokemon is no stranger to giving us underwater civilizations/implying there was an Atlantis type Civilization in the last as in Black & White 2, the player could actively dive beneath the sea and explore underwater ruins. An Atlantis inspired Stonjourner seems entirely up Pokemon's alley and I hope it eventually sees the light of day.

9. The Fletchling Family

Back in the early days of Sword & Shield advertising/leaks, this picture of Galarian Talonflame went around and I won't deny that I firmly thought it was the real deal. It looks way too official for it not to be and I feel duped as to believe it was real cause I'm upset it never was. This regional form of Talonflame bears a striking resemblance to the Merlin Falcon of which occupies North America and Europe. I especially love how the regional Fletchling Family looks like they belong in a fall setting and I cannot get over it. Pokemon, please do this!!!

10. Scrafty

Another Galarian regional variant, this fanmade variant makes Scrafty out to look like a member of Team Yell and I'm all over it! Members of Team Yell, especially their gym leader Marnie, use Scrafty's on their teams. Maybe the backstory behind this regional variant for Scrafty could come from how their Unovan counterpart is so brightly colored to blend in with Unova's deserts but when Scrafty came to Galar, they learned the hard way they need to dial down their colors in order to camouflage within their environment better. Better yet, Team Yell decided to theme themselves after Galarian Scrafty! Galarian Scrafty can be a pure Dark type compared to its Dark-Fighting Unova counterpart.

Are there any regional variants featured here you'd like to eventually see in the Pokemon series?
