Today, I'm talking about Pokemon that are Arguably evil by definition. As quite a bit of us know, Pokemon as a whole can get pretty dark and morbid at times and that's especially clear if you read up on their pokedex entrys. So today, I'm talking about Pokemon that are, in my eyes, evil incarnate.

Drifloon The Kidnapper

Drifloon looks pretty innocent right? A lavender cute looking balloon with heart hands. You'd be surprised to learn that Drifloon's cute appearance is a disguise for their true intentions. Any kid of whom mistakens Drifloon for a real balloon, Drifloon will kidnap the child and eventually 'lead them to the afterlife' which is a nicer way of saying that Drifloon kidnaps and kills children for a living. Even one of the games explores this morbid Pokemon as it features a side quest where the player must save a child from being kidnapped by a Drifloon.

The Litwick Family of Killers

The Litwick Family, featuring Litwick, Lampent & Chandelure, are all 'object mon' of whom are ghosts that possess a Candle, Lantern & Chandelere. One of their biggest & Arguably coolest details are how they possess Purple flames. Why do they have purple flames? Because these flames don't burn by natural means. The Litwick Family feed their flames by leeching off the life force of living organisms. Yes, in order for the Litwick family to live, they must kill others. There's an entire episode in the anime that explores how the Litwick family leech off the living, and that the process of such is torture in and of itself.

Spiritomb, A Nest For Souls

Spiritomb, much like the title above, is a ghost pokemon and acts as a Nest of Souls. Spiritomb is a collection of 108 dead souls who's dark energy resulted in a Mischievous being. Spiritomb was such an evil and Mischievous being that it was banished and sealed within a talisman, we call the Odd Keystone. Spiritomb is one of few Pokemon that we know of that was so evil it had to be sealed away for everyone's safety.

Misdreavus the Mischievous

Misdreavus is yet another ghost Pokemon. Man... Ghost Pokemon have such a bad reputation. Misdreavus isn't exactly evil, but doesn't exactly have a good reputation either. Misdreavus is well known for pulling pranks on the living by misplacing items, making weird noises or as it's known best is to pull your hair when you least expect it. Misdreavus is also highly known to moan or screech out loud just to catch people off guard, lure them or scare them. They take pleasure in scaring the living. So in reality Misdreavus is a prankster, but that shouldn't condone its behavior either.

Darkrai, the God of Nightmares

I'm sure you saw this one coming. The God of Nightmares himself. Although the existence of Darkrai is a mystery in and of itself, Darkrai is the boogeyman of the Pokemon world as just being near a Darkrai will result in you having a nightmare in your sleep. Darkrai also has the ability to incapacitate anyone it likes and force them into having Nightmares that can last for days or even months on end. Darkrai is often depicted as the antagonist in numerous side Pokemon games and I'm sure you can see why considering it's the God of Nightmares with a ghoulish design.

Froslass the Man Eater

Froslass is the reincarnated soul of a woman who was lost on a snowy mountain and died. That in itself is horrible until you look even further into Froslass... Froslass actively hunts men, especially handsome men, and freezes them to death thus consuming their souls as food. Furthermore, Froslass likes to freeze people AND Pokemon alike, carry them back to its den and decorate the place with them like trophies! Even one of Froslass' Pokedex entries talks about how in Villages on snowy mountains, if you hear a knock at your door, it's most likely a Froslass, so if you treasure your life, don't answer it!!!

Giratina, The Banished God

Giratina, as most know it, is the Devil of the Pokemon Universe. Giratina was once, and technically still is, a God of the Creation trio. While Arceus is THE God of the Pokemon universe, Giratina is the devil. Giratina, after bestowing great violence and destruction upon earth, Arceus had banished Giratina from Earth and forced it to then reside in a Reverse or Distortion World that mirrors the earth where Giratina cannot escape. In almost every appearance from Giratina in the games and anime, Giratina repeatedly attacks the gods of Time & Space or bring death upon those who try to utilize its power.

Yveltal, The God of Death

Considering that EVIL Is literally in this Pokémon's name, Yveltal is the God of Death, often referred to as the Grim Reaper of the Pokemon world. Yveltal thrives on the life energy of all living organisms, eventually sapping up enough life energy until the organism dies, and nothing can stop it. Yveltal will continue to kill everything in its wake until there's nothing left. Once there's nothing left, and Yveltal can no longer absorb enough energy to keep it going/fuel the tank, Yveltal will then go into hibernation in the form of a cocoon in wait until someone or something feeds it enough energy and it'll wreck havoc and destruction once again.

Cacturne, The Stalker

Cacturn, dubbed the Scarecrow Pokemon, is a sentient cactus that roams Deserts in groups. It's Pokedex Entry describes how Cacturn stalk desert travelers at night. When the travelers grow exhausted and cannot move any longer, Cacturn kill them and heavily hint that they'll eat the travelers as well. Although it's pokedex is vague for the most part as people think the 'follow the travelers until they cannot move' part means that Cacturne saves the traveler after they pass out, MANY of us assume the opposite. That Cacturnes stalk their prey until they cannot fight, only then will Cacturne act.

Banette, The Revenge Killer

I've talked about Banette on here before about how Banette is a voodoo doll. Well, a Banette is a child's doll that the child had discarded. The doll then reanimates as a Pokemon, that being Banette, and now Banette's only goal is to kill the child that threw it away. Banette also builds up dark energy by sticking needles within itself. Talk about a revenge story!!!
