Even More Forgotten Pokemon
More really forgettable Pokemon... These are either Pokemon I didn't feature on the previous part due to only wanting to feature 10 Pokemon or Pokemon you guys suggested! So, let's get started shall we?
1. The Ultra Beasts
Some of the Ultra Beasts are quite forgettable while others are very memorable. Some of them don't even look like Pokemon which is my main problem with them. Thats the point though, the Ultra Beasts are meant to look like Aliens/not part of the Pokemon world but unfortunately it just doesn't work & I hope we don't get anymore Ultra Beasts. Nihilego might've played a big part in Sun & Moon's story but it just does not look like a Pokémon and is the least interesting of the Ultra Beasts. In Ultra Sun & Moon, most of the Ultra Beasts were removed!!! Unless you played the Post Game of any of the Sun & Moon games, you won't find a single Beast! I didn't know that some Ultra Beasts were version exclusives so for the longest time I had no idea Blacephalon, Buzzwole & Kartana existed. So really, unless you watched the Sun & Moon anime, you most likely don't know half of the Ultra Beasts exist...
2. Cryogonal
Alot of people forget this Pokemon exists, including myself! Unova/Black & White gave us the most new Pokemon in a singular region and clearly Cryogonal is one of the Pokemon that was lost in the wood work. I have never heard anyone consider Cryogonal their favorite Pokemon & the only reason I remember this thing is because they're Kyurem's minions in the movie Kyurem Vs. The Sword of Justice.
3. Togedomaru
I swear this thing is the most forgettable of all the Pikachu clones. I genuinely don't get how it's a steel type, I don't get why it was a totem Pokemon in Ultra Sun & Moon when the puzzle was entirely Vikavolt related & I swear the only reason I remember this thing is because Sophocles had one in the anime. Even then, Sophocles & Togedomaru were insanely forgettable!!!
4. Overqwil
Overqwil is the evolution of the Hisui/Sinnoh regional form of Qwilfish. To be honest, yes, while Qwilfish needed an evolution this wasn't it. I'm sorry, this thing literally looks like Qwilfish but blown up. Quite possibly the most forgettable new addition to Legends Arceus/Pokemon as a whole.
5. Alomomola
I'm sorry, this is ugly. There's reasons why this thing has barely been featured in Pokemon games outside of its introduction in Pokemon Black & White. Honestly, it'd probably be more memorable if it was an evolution to Luvdisc but no. This thing is a stand alone Pokemon. A Sunfish Pokemon sounds good on paper but this wasn't it.
6. Pikipeck, Trumbeak & Toucannon
The Route 1 birds in every Pokemon game normally are VERY good Pokemon to keep on your team from beginning to end due to how powerful they are & their cool designs but that's not the case in Alola... The Pikipeck line straight up isn't interesting & don't perform well in battles. I can't tell you how quickly I passed up Pikipeck during my playthrough of Moon for a Fletchling instead. Literally nobody likes the Pikipeck line!!!! Nobody talks about them & they're the most forgettable of all beginning of game flying types.
7. Chespin, Quiladin & Chesnaught
I'm featuring a starter Pokemon? Yes unfortunately. The Chespin line is the most forgettable out of all the starter Pokemon as a whole RIGHT next to the Grookey line. I'll admit, Chesnaught is cool, but nothing interesting to say the least. This line is overshadowed by all the other awesome starter Pokemon & evolutions, ESPECIALLY the other starter Pokemon & evolutions Chespin debuted with: Greninja & Braixen. They're BIG fan favorites among the starter Pokemon. Chespin is by no means a bad Pokemon, it's just HEAVILY overshadowed.
8. Gorebyss & Huntail
These things are forgettable at its finest. These two are split evolutions of Clampearl debuted in Hoenn/Ruby & Sapphire. The means of getting your own Clampearl was difficult as all heck, being you had to dive within the ocean which isn't available till late game, but evolving Clampearl was another story. In order to have Clampearl become Gorebyss or Huntail, you had to have VERY specific & hard to come by items. The insanely difficult means of evolution resulted in Pokemon nearly removing this line of Pokemon from the games as a whole. Unless you're playing Ruby, Sapphire & Emerald or the Remakes, you won't see this line in any other game.
9. Eiscue
A Pokemon that debuted in Sword & Shield, oddly enough a lot of people love this Pokemon while others criticize it heavily for how stupid it is. HOWEVER Eiscue is insanely forgettable for the reason it's nearly impossible to get your hands on one & you could play the entire game & not see a single Eiscue on a trainer's team UNLESS you played Shield. That's right, only gym leader Melony uses an Eiscue which means if you play Sword you won't see Eiscue period. Furthermore, Eiscue doesn't have an overworld spawn, only appears in the Wild Area in one particular place AND only spawns during a snowstorm. Not to forget the spawn rate of an Eiscue is less than 10%. Talk about difficult. It's like the games don't want you to find one.
10. Dhelmise
I didn't even know this Pokemon existed until I went about completing my Pokedex in Sun & Moon. Furthermore, no in game trainers used this Pokemon. In Ultra Sun & Moon, Acerola used one but still, nobody remembers this thing! It's a rare spawn too & only found in one location. There's little to nothing interesting about it design wise either. It's a possessed ship's wheel... I can tell the idea was awesome on paper but wasn't gone about correctly. There's reasons why other haunted object Pokemon like Trevenant, Polteageist & Chandelure did miles better than Dhelmise. Dhelmise probably would've done better if it had an evolution or a Gigantamax form.
What do you think is the most forgotten Pokemon?
