Even More BEST Shinies

After listening to your guys opinions on which Pokemon has the best shiny, and for the sake that I couldn't list all of my favorite shinies in one place, I HAD to do a part two. So sit back and relax, here are 20 more great shinies.

1. The Shinx Family

The reason I made a part two, the Shinx Family has great shinies despite how simple of a change it is. Theit shinies replace their blue fur for yellow and it make a surprisingly great change. Black and yellow always looked better and the yellow makes me further view the Shinx Family as wild jungle cats as most real life wild cats have yellow or brown fur. A great shiny indeed.

2. Chi-Yu

I've addressed Chi-Yu's shiny previously in this book on the part of Top 10 Scarlet Violet Shinies. Chi-Yu straight up has a phenomenal shiny. This fish has a body made of red/orange flames but the shiny swaps it out for blue and black flames. It's clear that the fanbase goes crazy for any Pokemon with blue flames and it only fuels how awesome Chi-Yu is.

3. Espeon

Alot of people don't like shiny Espeon and neither did I for a while, but after owning one myself, it's grown on me as one of my favorites. Shiny Espeon swaps out its lavender body for a really nice shade of neon green. Furthermore, Espeon had a different shiny in the past. In Pokemon Stadium 2, Shiny Espeon was a REALLY great mint green. Green just looks great on Espeon hands down!

4. Slugma

Now, nobody likes Slugma, but fans do applaud Slugma for its Shiny. Shiny Slugma goes from red-orange to grey much similarly to molten silver as fans like to call it. Too bad it's evolution, Magcargo, takes everything Great about shiny Slugma and flushes it down the toilet...

5. Tsareena

I never hear anyone talk about the Tsareena line when it comes to their shinies. I think Tsareena has the best shiny in her family. Shiny Tsareena swaps out its green hair for lavender as the lavender complements her magenta body all the better. It's shiny further takes the cake as purple is considered a royal color and guess what? The Tsareena Family are based on the Mangosteen which is considered the Queen of Fruits. Therefore, adding purple to Tsareena's design made Tsareena feel like she belongs to royalty.

6. Genesect

I've always loved shiny Genesect miles about its original. Genesect swaps out its purple body for red and it makes all the difference. The shiny coloration for Genesect was actually explained in the anime oddly enough as Shiny Genesects are normally the alphas/are stronger than the average Genesect. It's similar to how Lion's behave in the wild. While all Lion's typically look the same, it's a rare gene, similar to being albino, that if a Lion has a black mane, they're naturally stronger. Similarly to being a natural born leader. It just makes shiny Genesect all the cooler that their shiny actually has a purpose.

7. Ninetails

Shiny Ninetails is a fan favorite. This nine tailed fox goes from yellow with red tips on its tail to silver with blue tail tips. This new coloration reminds me of arctic Foxes and considering Ninetails can learn Will O' Wisp, the coloration makes the move all the more fitting.

8. Grapploct

Grapploct is a pokemon inspired by Octopus Wrestling. Octopus Wrestling is the event of which a diver goes into the ocean and grapples with an Octopus in order to pull it to the surface. Whoever has the largest octopus wins. Therefore, Grapploct looks like a Wrestling octopus rightfully. Grapploct's shiny makes the pokemon look more like a traditional wrestler with its Red, Yellow White colors instead of blue, yellow, black. In fact, I like shiny Grapploct more than the original.

9. Mega & Gigantamax Gengar

The only acceptable reason why anyone likes Shiny Gengar. Shiny Gengar is collectively agreed by the fanbase to be one of the worst shinies in the entire Pokemon series as you literally cannot even tell its shiny from the original unless you look at them side by side. Mega & Gigantamax Gengar are an exception though!!! Mega & Gigantamax Gengar actually has a noticable shiny and an awesome one at that: Gengar becomes white. What makes them even better is that Mega Shiny Gengar appears in the film Pokemon: Volcanion and the Mechanical Marvel. The movie admittedly sucks and you won't catch me watching it ever again, but the film is cool for the fact that it features shiny Gengar.

10. Wooloo

Shiny Wooloo inverts it's color scheme! It's brown face and hooves become white while it's white wool become brown. Back in the Sword & Shield days, shiny Wooloo was rightfully one of the most sought after shinies by the fanbase cause it just looks so nice.

11. Mimickyu

Shiny Mimickyu goes from yellow to grey/monochrome and it looks so nice it's admittedly hard to believe that's it's actual shiny.
For a long time, I didn't believe that shiny Mimickyu's colors were it's actual shiny colors. Pokemon has a track record of showing Pokemon with alternate colorations in the anime and game BUT that's not their actual shiny. As noted with the Pink Butterfree in the anime, the pink Kecleon in the Mystery Dungeon games and the fact that literally any Lapras that isn't Ash's is a dark blue in the anime. Also in the anime, Acerola had a shiny Mimickyu. Yes, this girl canonically has a shiny Mimickyu. I thought that her Mimickyu wasn't shiny because Acerola claimed she made her Mimickyu's costume herself, but nope, this is a legit Shiny Mimickyu!!!

12. Hisuian Decidueye

I've said it once on here, I don't like Hisuian Decidueye. However, it's shiny saves the Pokemon. Shiny Hisuian Decidueye replaces the reds and browns in its design with green, making it look like it's Alolan regional variant. While I'm not a fan of the shiny either, it's the fact that the shiny saves an otherwise bad Pokemon says all you need to know.

13. Cranidos & Rampardos

Cranidos and Rampardos' shinies feature their blue foreheads and bodily markings going from blue to red. Nothing much to say besides Red looks great on these two and it's more historically accurate to their Dinosaur species too.

14. Ho-Oh

I've always thought that Ho-Oh was a very busy Pokemon in the design department. It has so many colors, so many layers of feathers and design elements, this Pokemon always felt like an eyesore for the reason it's just too busy when it comes to design. Thankfully, Ho-Oh's shiny neutralizes most of the busy design aspects from regular Ho-Oh by quite literally removing most of Ho-Oh's colors and turning this guy yellow & grey. Not only do the colors unexpectedly look great together, but now the design doesn't feel as busy as it was before.

15. Volcarona

Shiny Larvesta and Volcarona have the same shiny as the Shinx Family in which it becomes yellow. The orange/red wings on Volcarona become yellow and while it's not much of a change, yellow looks REALLY good on Volcarona.

16. Azumarill

For some reason yellow shinies just look great. Shiny Azumarill replaces Azumarill's blue body for yellow and it has no right looking as Great as it does. I like the shiny more than the original coloration.

17. Venomoth

It wasn't until Scarlet & Violet that I grew to enjoy shiny Venonat & Venomoth. Shiny Venomoth goes from a very pale lavender to a nice shade of Sapphire blue. I highly enjoy this shiny over its original coloration.

18. Corsola

Corsola and Ditto have something in common: They go from pink to blue when shiny! I've always enjoyed Ditto's shiny for the reason that it takes on a nice cyan blue and the same is said about Corsola.

19. Palafin

Shiny Palafin didn't speak to me at first, until it grew on me. Shiny Palafin swaps out its blue body for black. This shiny reminds me of Orca whales but also the Superhero gimmick this line has makes the shiny look as though it could be a villain!!! It's just so cool and I love to think shiny Palafin is evil!!!

20. Scizor

I've always been fond of shiny Scizor and come the release of Legends Arceus, I grew to enjoy shiny Scizor more than before. Shiny Scizor goes from Red to Green, just like its pre-evolution Scyther as well as Shiny Kleavor that goes from brown to Green. Everyone in this evolution line becoming green come their shiny shows great continuity in the design department and shows us fans that these three are in the same family. Reason why I like the shiny remaining consistent with this evolution line is due to Pokemon not keeping shinies consistent such as with the Happiny line, they go from pink to green and then back to pink. The Azuril line goes from green to yellow. The Charmander line goes from yellow to black. These shinies aren't consistent and that's why I appreciate Scyther's line for being consistent.

Who's your favorite shiny in the series.
