i was almost done with annabeth and then the casting came out and i was like

i must do this instead

so i restarted to make annabeth black

here she is:

i ended up making her hair black rather than blonde because 1) i cant change the color of braids and have a separate hair color. It's just a game mechanic.

2) because why not?

Also i ended up really putting myself on annabeth with this one, even more than I did with shel.

which was weird, because shel was definitely based on my traits when it comes to her sass and her inability to not judge people, but recently i've connected to annabeth

i think i'm starting to see more similarities between us when it comes to out thought processes and ways we process our emotions. Because Shel is emotionally intellegent.

I am quite the opposite in real life.

So, i think that because of that and with the added fact that I actually look a little bit like a character (though i am lighter) i was able to connect with her more

I also ended up loosening up when it came to annabeth's fashion sense and hair because i can finally play with different textures of hair and different braids! and i ended up making her fashion sense my own.

I had so much fun with the hair because i was orignally going to have annabeth have loose curls and hazel have tight curls but i ended up switching it and i am so happy i did

also can i mention that i am so happy i can play with darker makeup in sims? because everyone else i've made thus far hasn't been dark enough for these moody shades and i am adoring it so far!

and the fact that i can have hair wraps???? amazing.

i actually have one of those!! it's really cool to see a game like sims show black beauty products

now, you may possibly judge me for annabeth's party look

with this look i went feral i was having so much fun and i was just kind of going deep into what i find to be pretty fucking hot and it ended up getting a little bit insane, but i love it

you have my full permission to judge me on this i wouldn't blame you

the boots were not my choice, but it was the best i had.

i ended up making her a renaissance sim, which means she wants to be the best at everything which... yeah

i also made her ambitious, no shit

and high maintenance.

basically, every bad thing is life-ruining, which is relatable for me and for a lot of other kids with burnout.

With Frederick i was conflicted

i wasn't sure if he should be white or black, but i ended up going white because i think that would be a cool character arc

~racism~ and because it's coming from her father, though neither of them realize it because it is very subtle and implicit, she tries to be perfect to excuse her blackness

later she figures out that her race doesn't make her less worthy and gives her the confidence she never had

Mrs. Chase took a little bit because she got no description other than being Asian, which is very broad.

I ended up making her Vietnamese and I named her Linh.

i use that fit a lot lmao

Linh is much more emotional and parental than Frederick and i really like that i made her like that because i think it makes Linh so complex, even though Rick never wanted to add those complexities himself--

bobby and matthew took me a minute each

i just played with DNA (yes you can do that) and made bobby, then played with it again to create a twin

ok i have a few more houses and we will be doing a shel house tour and a jacksons house tour and a chase house tour, and di angelo house tour, and grace house tour.

that should be in the next few sims chapters and i think the next thing i do pjo related will be either a nico psychology or annabeth psychology depending on my mood
