nonsense
omg hi my violation bean, specifically selene who is the only person here
there really is no point to these now since you are actually the only one here, like this could literally be our dms
but the vibes are just different idk why
anyway let's talk about a gasp original work
omg i know absolutely crazy right? me writing something other than percy jackson fanfiction.
um i have a planning document
by planning i mean an mess of random ideas with no rhyme or reason, do you want to see this unorganized mess?
ofc you do. here it is:
A girl and a boy are both chosen by the god of the land to defeat some sort of evil, which happens in a cycle every 1,000 years. These two practically spend their lives together, training alongside each other away from their respective families. However, their training doesn't last long since after 5 years or so the clan with the evil side kills the royal family and the sages of the god. The army defeats the clan with the help of the two and the story starts with them trying to search for the new sages while keeping a look out for monsters created by the evil.
They both hate the god. Like, it's comical how much they hate the god. But they also know that they have to do this so they're grappling with the fact that the god is not a good person nor does the god ever seem to answer them in their time of need.
Girl is fantasy equivalent to afrolatina (coastal??), boy is fantasy equivalent of thai
Lesbian and spicy straight boy frendship combo
They're each other's lancers in regard to powers and weapon choice.
Girl is shadow, uses a variety of knives and daggers and uses shadow as an extension of her weapons but doesn't use it much prefers close range combat
Boy is light and uses swords and arrows, doesn't really use light power either but has much better control of it and is able to channel it into making light arrows. Prefers long range combat
They have a pet rock. His name is Jerald, which is an extremely out of place name for the world.
Mages and scholars that specialize in different things. They are chosen by the god and have no identifying features other than their affinity toward magic.
Jerald only ever appears in flashbacks and in passing mentions since he "died" in the coup.
The capital of the kingdom is located in the southwest, where the two lived to study and train.
In the north of the land was the mage's school, and it was the only one in the land. People from the north have more of an English accent and it is known that they wish to have the chosen one stay at that school instead of the castle so that they would have their powers trained correctly and it would prevent staff from having to traverse back and forth between the north and southeast.
The people at the mage's school tend to be very devout in their loyalty to the god. One time while they were staying there, the duo made a passing joke about the god and the following morning they received a lecture on how to behave themselves.
Girl is from the region of Dayonica which is a tropical region in the southeast containing a tropical forest, the southeastern beaches, and a series of small islands.
Alondra Surillo
Narai Sarit
Narai was born and raised in capital
Alondra is that one meme of telling someone to disarm and she has an insane amount of knives to throw on the table and somehow always has more when it comes time to fight.
The reason they know they are the chosen heroes is because the goddess literally comes down once a millenia and tells the sages they're the chosen heroes. They were both 10 at the time and Narai had shown some sort of magic ability, and was making preparations to go to the mage's school and Alondra had shown no magical abilities, either in shadow or with water which is associated with Dayonica. Alondra recalls the exact moment, when she was playing with her friends by the shore when royal guard plucked the child and her family, only explaining once they are in the royal carriage. Narai was in the markets when the royal guard escorted him. They met after Alondra arrived, like, two-three days later. Narai was given quarters because he only had to travel for an hour or two, but hadn't spoken to any of the sages or royal family. When Alondra arrived they were both introduced and they were dressed to meet the royals and the sages where they got a more in depth description of what was happening. Alondra was given quarters and their families were forced to leave them at the castle.
One of the first things they were told to do was to pray to the goddess and neither of them got a response, which continued for months while they trained. Narai and Alondra were both struggling with their magic but when Narai started to get the hang of his abilities, the goddess answered their prayers gifting Narai a sword. When Alondra started to finally gain some control of her abilities, she was given a knife. The goddess then went on years of radio silence, where Alondra continued to struggle with her magic and shifted to being more combat focused, while Narai was more intent on channeling his power of light even though he hadn't been able to improve much. After a bit, he too became more combat focused. They learned the histories of the goddess and the chosen heroes of the past and when they were 13 they finally received a vision from the goddess, sending them to defeat a small incarnation of whatever villain i decide to create. Narai was given a second sword and Alondra, who had gained three knives in that time, received another. They continued to improve over the years, but quickly realized that the goddess only ever responds when she wants something and when they had prayed to end the famine in Dayonica, the goddess remained unresponsive. When they prayed to get guidance on their powers, the goddess was unresponsive. When Narai had been stabbed and almost died, the goddess remained unresponsive. After that first mission, they didn't even get rewards for their efforts. When they were around 16, they decided to stop praying unless they were desperate
They didn't really talk to each other much when they first started training and didn't get close until after their first mission together.
Alondra has a lot of anger towards the goddess for not helping her out with the power she needed to master and Narai doesn't understand why his own communications stopped. They have a lot of pressure put on them by every single person in the land to save them from the incarnation of chaos while also being hunted by the organization of people against their existence. The worst part of it all is that Narai and Alondra can understand why they'd want them dead because the missions they go on can occasionally cause destruction, though they do their best to prevent it. However, the sages they have don't necessarily care too much about doing more for the towns, homes, inns, etc. destroyed. Most of the time Alondra and Narai have their faces covered while on missions and would sneak out to attempt to help the people they could.
Because they tended to have their faces covered and the discernable features that they each had were common for their respective regions, most people don't recognize them unless they're in their uniforms, which the two of them burned after forcing the clan to retreat. They find it funny that no one seems to know who they are until they get to the mage's school, where everyone seemed to adore them. They feel a bit guilty because the clan would occasionally attempt to fight people with similar features as them, rarely actually catching them.
Narai has a hard time in moments of stress with controlling his abilities, which Alondra deems to be the only advantage of her own powers manifesting really only manifesting instinctually and only ever in combat, she can't command it at will. He doesn't usually get like this, but it becomes clear that he needs to regain better control but is struggling to do so. Meanwhile, Alondra is constantly chastised for not having the ability to use her magic whenever she pleases and Narai is chastised for not having adequate control in dire situations. Both of them hate it there, but, they got bigger rooms and a place to bathe and a bag with the ability to hold anything without getting heavier and also more clothes aside from their shirts, old pants, jackets and the outfits they got tailored to fight the monsters the royal family didn't want to fight. At some point, the gratitude ends as the goddess sends them a message, telling them there is a sage here and they need to hurry since there are small incarnations forming that they will need assistance to fight. Thankfully, they hadn't gotten too comfortable yet as they had only just arrived two or three days prior and spent the majority of that either sleeping, eating, or dealing with the Elder Mages attempting to improve their abilities which they believe are already as good as they will get. After they get the message, they start to go to actual classes in order to attempt to scout out who may be one of the sages, as the goddess simply said theyd meet them in class. Narai understands that it must drain so much out of the goddess to not be extremely vague and to reveal details like what this person is the sage of or what they look like or their gender.
The Elder Mages introduce them to the prodigies of their respective elemental fields. They were called to spar with them. There is a guy who has an affinity to earth who fought Alondra, and lost. A sage with an affinity to wind chose to fight Narai and also lost. The two of them already have an academic rivalry, which the girl casts aside and begins a new rivalry with Narai and Alondra, who have no idea what is going on.
At some point the girl and Narai are paired together for a project and they get a bit close and spend most of the time just playing around with their magic instead of actually working as both of them find it to be redundant.
At the same time, Alondra is continuing to struggle with her abilities and has nothing but absolute hatred for the school. At least in the capital, she wasn't treated terribly by the people training her. And when the school gets attacked, she get chastised for not using more technical magic when she fights. Narai is also told to be better since he still doesn't have the best control of his abilities when emotional. After this goes on for a while, they start to kind of hate it there.
The Elder Mages are still trying to figure out who the sage should be, but refuse to consult Alondra and Narai, so they decide they'd just figure it out themselves and get out of there. They'd been actively searching for about two weeks at this point, and had their eyes on the other girl, who seemed to have reached the cap of her abilities. However, her abilities in combat are subpar, which causes them to hesitate. They both know that she is 100% meant to be the sage of wind, but her abilities mean nothing if she ends up dead when the enemy clan inevitably attacks or when monsters are formed. The magic itself doesn't matter, though it certainly plays a part, it matters that they can fight decently with that magic.
Because the Elder Mages believe the sage at the school was the prodigy with earth magic, the mages begin training him independently. Narai and Alondra tell them that this dude is not the sage, but they mention that they aren't even as good as this guy, so what do they know. They say that they will continue training him for a few weeks. The next day, the clan comes in and this time, they knew who the "chosen sage" was and attempted to hurt him, but Narai was able to kill the member. He tells Alondra, and because that information was 100% confidential, they think that one of the Elder Mages is working with the enemy clan. Alondra is more concerned with why they attempted to attack the guy, especially since they were nearby.
For the next two or three days, they stop talking to anyone else and are primarily with each other, trying to discern who it could be. They go through who else could have known about the mages choosing someone, but no one knew. So, it had to have been someone in the Elder MAges or close to the elder mages.
They decide to tell the girl about everything going on, and she didn't even know that these people were the chosen ones or whatever, so she's kinda freaking the fuck out.
They decide to tell the girl about everything going on, and she didn't even know that these people were the chosen ones or whatever, so she's kinda freaking the fuck out. But, she still agrees and they start to train in secret and plan their exit.
The girl is really good with a bow and arrow and tries to figure out how she can use her abilities of the wind to do more damage. Narai used his power of light to blind and occasionally turn into a shield and Alondra can turn shadow into whips and can mask herself in it, making her almost invisible.
hi i'm back
i think my favorite part about this mess is how i can't even discern what i mean half the time.
also i need a name for the girl because referring to her as just "girl" is getting increasingly more annoying.
and i'm realizing more and more as i brain dump that i wish i could draw because this has such amazing comic potential, and it makes me really sad that i don't have talent.
but i already know it's going to be too large for it to be just one novel, so i'd either publish online and do it webnovel fashion where there are different seasons and stuff or i would actually have to write multiple different novels
idk which one is scarier.
i also need to figure out what to name the goddess, originally i was gonna name her molnera but i thought about for more than 5 seconds and hated it. so idk what to do there either
i also need to learn how many sages there will be. right now i'm thinking 5, but that would mean 7 large characters and that's scary. even though there would only be 2 povs. but i'm thinking we have the wind sage, lightning sage, earth sage, fire sage, and water sage.
i have some ideas for some of them, like i want the earth to be a guy who's like really connected to plants specifically and he's the healer of the group, however he's a bitch. he will slap you for having the audacity to get hurt when he's sitting down and when they're just chilling it feels like he genuinely could not give less of a shit about anyone aside from his girl
his girl is the fire girl and she's a fucking badass in battle but really gentle and her flaw was gonna be that she has trouble with feeling too much at a time which causes her to lose control of her fire abilities thus giving her a sweet insecurity of her magic.
water boy is just a guy. idk anything about him other than he exists
wind girl (the girl at the academy) is very prideful and often does too much and over exerts herself in battle and she initially has trouble seeing someone as a valuable member of a team. she's able to recognize that alondra and narai are better than her, of course they were literally chosen by the goddess, but these new people? are they really worthy? i think i mentioned all this is the mess of s brain fumo above but whatever
lightning sage was alondras hand maid when everyone goes to a different land searching for the prince or smth and alondras like, wait bitch you can do things, and this girl is like if you don't stfu i will kill you, imma lose my job. alondras like girl get your ass up and save the world the worry about your goddamn job. but the problem here is that out of everyone in the gang, she has the least amount of experience and is very unsure of herself and her abilities. she is 100% self taught, and never learned the basics and yeah
idk i have some things though out for everyone except water boy. who the fuck is water boy?
i'm also a sooo tired and i think you can tell to imma sleep now
love y'all
