this took me way too fucking long but here we go

I STARED AT PICTURES OF AIYANA LEWIS (that's shel's face claim) FOR SO LONG I SWEAR TO FUCKING GOD--

shel's arc doesn't give way to any fashion changes, it's more about her getting over the way she's perceived, so my goal with her outfits were to showcase her sense of style 

like, i wanted her to like color, but be more into having one statement color and the rest neutrals rather than pipers "i love color omfg i need at least two colors per fit or else i will die"

i like this fit because she was originally gonna be emo, but i realized the general emo personality did not fit her, and also because my girl is not edgy in the slightest. however

she looks hot as fuck. 

so.

i discovered that red was shel's color and also a love for that skirt (she wears that skirt in different swatches like four times)

anyway, the fit is cute, i like it, and now we  move on

very chill, nothing much else to say

i love the skirt so much.

oh also, her hair will not be changing. she has a curly pixie according to the books, i personally have a curly tapered pixie because i'm a dyke, and i know from personal experience that when you have a curly pixie of sorts, you can only have that pixie unless you do wigs or weave. 

which, shel does do wigs, ma'am literally had cancer she is the wig master, but i didn't want to deal with having such a wide variety of possible styles and colors and it was just too many choices and it was overwhelming. 

anyway, some background before going to the next fit

after dressing piper in that fit with the cheese slides i decided to give shel and eventually zhade their own "i woke up exactly 2 minutes before i had to leave" fits

this is shel's

i like the flower jesus sandals. 

i've always called those shoes "jesus sandals" and i told my friend about the pair that i own (i am a midwestern mom at heart) and called them my jesus sandals and it had both her and her mother dying laughing. so, you can have it too i guess.

sims only gives me 5 fits per category and because of the order i took these pictures, we are now on formal and will go back to more casual outfits later

we start off with this red fit, which she is matching with pipes

this helped me remember i was gay. 

like i saw her in that blazer thing and had an awakening all over again, it was magical.

then we have our dress, which she also matched with piper because i'm obsessed with matching couples

it's cute 

and then i realized i forgot to give piper her diwali fit

and decided that i will not go back and make one because i would be sitting there for horus and i don;t got that kinda time

but i did do shels

and i lowkey hate it.

sims doesn't have much desi clothing as is, and most of it is bridal, (that's EA's and the Sim's fault. wtf is this) and desi cc simply doesn't exist (but that's no ones fault, cc creators do this for fun)

and shel was supposed to have this red and gold kurta set based on one i saw on pinterest with really pretty layers and lacing, it looked like a gown, but it wasn't bridal. like it was clear that it was for a holiday.

and then the kurta set that the sims had was so sad, i can't even show it.

but they did have a semi-slightly-okayish sari

i suppose it's more realistic that way because shel wouldn't have desi clothing

but shel was supposed to be taking Zhade's--our desi queen--clothes and Zhade is dramatic and a beauty queen when it comes desi events and adores indian clothing so i know that zhade would have these big and extravagant clothes that she'd let shel borrow and i just wish the sims was better

anyway, moving on 

we have shel in her gym princess era

yes her and piper are still matching.

they go on gym dates, leave them alone

anyway, back to more cute fits
