so i was having a mental breakdown last week for a variety of reasons, and i knew that if i started being actually productive i wouldn't do good, but i have a problem with taking time to myself. which sucks because i desperately need it but whatevs

anyway, i just created a character who was me spiritually but looked just like arianna hailey, and i was like, okay what do i do with you... umm...

i still haven't named her, but because she looks like atinan hailey, i will name her aria because it's different enough.

anyway i was still having a breakdown so i threw her in a random ass fic idea because what else would i do??? have healthy coping mechanisms??? lmao who wants that 😭

now i'm writing this here because i need to distract myself from the urge to make an appointment for a pixie cut and/or a ketamine treatment, because that would be bad if i didn't think about it further before making that decision.

ANYWAY i was like, okay so aria is annabeth s daughter

but wait if annabeth were stable, aria wouldn't have my mental health issues

ok so annabeth had aria really young and because we gotta have it somewhere, we've got an absentee daddy!

but percy??? being an absentee father??? hell no.

okay but i want them to know each other and because of that the plot of this thing i will never write was so fucking dramatic, i genuinely thought that it was from a novela i watched back when i watched novelas all the time

now, once upon a time annabeth chase was talking to two guys at once, but they were not together.

here's the thing though, annabeth was desperate not for a relationship but for an out. her parents put a lot of pressure on her to be perfect and annabeth needs space and needs to get out

now she really does like both of them, and chalked up her decision to go for luke to that, and didn't break up with him because she loved him and not because he had a plan to join the military. it's also 100% not because i'm a basic bitch who continues to go down the my-sympathy-for-luke-goes-down-as-i-understand-the-effects-of-his-actions train

anyway, because this part of my parents relationship was iconic in the way that makes me never want to date

luke finds out that annabeth was once interested in percy and then fights him

now with my parents, my mom was the other girl and my dad cheated on his then gf and they broke it off

and a year later after my mom started dating my sperm donor the gf came and broke my moms nose

moral of the story: have communication skills.

anyway, annabeth gets married right out of high school to luke and by 21, annabeth is preggers!

yeah my mom had me at 21. you know how in ginny and georgia, georgia is like "birth control is your bestie and don't have sex"

she filed for full custody with child support, she gets child support for a year and nothing more because "you gave me the money, so it was consensual" -my sperm donor and his lawyer, 2008-9ish

annabeth now needs a job BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY SHE GOT A DIVORCE SHES FREE TO FUCKING GO

she makes up with helen specifically and she watches aria only until 10pm max, except annabeth is out partying because she got married and never got to have fun

anyway, annabeth shaving a great time as a single mom. she moved in with her parents, yes. but she's almost got enough saved for an apartment, she's reconnected with friends (aria now has an auntie piper and thalia) and even if she pushes the limit on how much she goes out, he relationship with her brothers is really strong from it (they'd be around 18 at this time)

at one point she has a casual relationship and because he'd be around a few times she decides to introduce him as a friend and aria hits him with a critical hit: is he my daddy?

annabeth does not introduce her to anyone else.

one day piper invites annabeth to a bar and guess who's there? percy! wow!

anyway, they have a ~situationship~ and then oops the condom broke.

how do they know? BABY NUMERO TWO

yeah, my mom made some choices. i will never have sex. i refuse to have two kids by 24.

so percy is over here talking to nico and grover and hazels there because she's an icon and they're all like... shit.

so he goes on over to talk to his momma and she's so excited, meanwhile 13-year-old estelle is like: wtf you fucking dumbass???

annabeth and percy make it official.

NOW TO MY PART

*ahem* on valentine's day of my 4th birthday my mother—i mean annabeth—opens the door. percy has a giant stuffed bear for her!

annabeth: oh, did you get this for arias bday?

percy, a quick thinker: i did now.

annabeth: she would've used it more than me anyway

aria comes on over and she apparently met him at an olive garden, like, two days before. but i don't remember that. soooo...

arias like: wow new person, how would you like to play with me outside

percy: ok

aria: are you my dad?

percy: no, but i don't have a dad either

aria: BIG GASP

anyway aria stayed up so late (8 pm) and she offered percy the stuffed animal as a pillow

hi it's been almost all day and i just spent 6 hours doing my hair knowing full well that in two-three days days i'm gonna have to do it again . hugh key might get a pixie cut

have a few scenes that i make up on the spot:

percy: ringing the door bell aggressively

nico: frustratedly opens door are you insa—the fuck happened?

percy: she's pregnant

it's 6am and i refuse to get out of bed because it's cold and i just saw what i wrote yesterday and i can't—

anyway, i was thinking since i woke up 8 minutes ago, what would arias familial relationships be like

because i know that percy will become her father, right. but in my experience, my step grandmother literally made me call her by her name, but everyone else was able to call her grandma and to this day only really tolerates me and hates my mom because we all had to do an intervention.

and my step grandpa hasn't even acknowledged the fact that my youngest brother was born last year, so idk

i know that paul and sally are distinctly not assholes, so i wonder what that would look like.

i don't think that they'd like annabeth that much at first because remember that one time she caused percy's broken nose, and estelle would be old enough to know what's happening but not the full scope of it so i think it'd be interesting.

i think that they'd love aria, but would there be an unintended preference for percy's kid?

idk but it's an interesting dynamic and i think if sally did have a favorite, she'd still be very doting and not realize that she did have a favorite and then she'd give them equal attention

this has just turned into me fixing my familial trauma but that's okay.

as for grover and nico, i think they like annabeth enough but they've never met aria and when they do she does not like them until they offer her ice cream.

i do like the idea of aria ending up really close to nico, but idk how they'd bond yet. i know with estelle, she was the youngest and was thus prime baby sitter, so that's how they'd bind but still
