Alex Alomar (he/him) is a Brazilian man with tawny skin and dark, curly, hair. He's 24 and has a sister (Arianna Ricci) whom he hasn't contacted in several years. The siblings used to be close, but when Arianna and Alex were separated in foster care, communication became difficult and when Arianna didn't fully support Alex being aroace, their relationship kind of fell apart. Giovanna's first birthday was the last time he saw Arianna and Oliver.

Alex would describe himself as sensible, and--with what he saw as practical--he has. He got a communications degree, understands online and journalistic media and the advertisements embedded within them, and inter-cultural communications and relations. He was even trilingual, speaking English, Portuguese, and Spanish (He learned English and Portuguese from being in a bilingual household, then learned Spanish for the high-school credit) With the way the world was, he found these skills to be important and practical. And he was good at it. So good, in fact, that he was currently one of the social media specialists for a real estate company.

His skill-sets make him more of a people person, so he was very good at talking to people. Specifically, adults. Kids were...interesting. He was okay with kids, though often treated them as either too little or too old. Most of his communications experience was centered around adults and children were quite different from adults. He understands the basics of children. Like, their emotions are often bigger because it's something they've never felt or they get excited seeing a rock because for them it's cool and new. But that's really where the knowledge stops. Alex tries his best to parent these kids, but the fact of the matter is he doesn't know how. He's young and still feels like a kid himself.

But, his time in foster care taught him to take care of himself and adapt, so that's what he plans on learning. I mean, people always say parenting is a learning process. But, foster care taught him to take care of himself. So, sometimes it's hard for him to admit he needs help. It's not that he doesn't want it, he just learned to carry everything by himself. Besides, fiances can be fixed with a budget and there are a plethora of parenting books available. Alex would figure something out.

Andrea Ricci is the first daughter of Arianna and Oliver. She has light, warm olive skin, dark eyes, and black, straight hair. She's 6 years old and has a younger sister (Giovanna), who she is really close to.

Andrea loved her parents more than anything, so when they died her whole world crashed down. Her parents always said to take care of other people, but Giovanna was clearly fine. Or, better than Andrea was, at least. She didn't really feel much of anything unless she was angry and found herself newly sensitive to being touched. She just wanted to be alone most of the time. She didn't really feel like doing much of anything, even playing vet with her animal plushes and toys.

However, after getting over the initial wave of grief and depression, it's clear that Andrea is still more of a quiet kid. At school she really only talks to the people in her neighborhood, making her friendship circle small in comparison to other people in her class.

Nevertheless, Andrea was incredibly smart and seemed to excel in school. She likes science the best because she gets to learn about more cool animals. She learned about her favorite animal--a capybara--in class. Sadly, she doesn't have a capybara toy, but she has other cool animals, like her big giraffe (that was her second favorite).

She likes to play games that have something to do with animals. In fairies, she was the animal fairy. She'd be a vet or zookeeper. It's really fun to play, but she gets annoyed if someone isn't as fast as her or doesn't know as much about a topic as her. She doesn't exactly enjoy waiting for someone to catch-up to her or teaching people about things she already knows.

Though, she does find joy in spewing random animal facts (her favorite was that killer whales had trends too). In fact, those facts made Giovanna a koala-lover. She would teach people about animals at any time, and often unprompted. Some people found that annoying, which makes her feel sad. To Andrea, the fact that slugs have four noses is cool (no one knows where she got that information from).

Before her parents died, they said they might get a pet. The only thing she wanted more than that was her parents coming back.

Giovanna Ricci was the second daughter of Arianna and Oliver. She has cool-toned olive skin, just a little darker than Andrea's, and wavy brown hair. Giovanna's 4 years old and is very close to her sister.

She was really sad when her parents died, and she felt it the most at bedtime. Arianna would brush her hair and Oliver would play spaceship to put her to bed. She missed that the most. But, those feelings were often muddled when she was doing something she really liked to do.

Unlike Andrea, she didn't tend to spend her time learning about things unless they were actually interesting and not super hard. Giovanna was more creative.

She liked to make up stories that she would act out in her backyard. She would often be the one to put together the games her and the neighbors would play, and she made sure that everyone had fun. When she'd play fairies with Andrea and the neighbor's kid that I still haven't named, but need to, she'd often make up the plot.

When Andrea got annoyed that she couldn't fly even though she had bee wings but the neighbor could when she had penguin wings, Giovanna was usually the one to come up with the solution of no one has wings, they were walking fairies who traveled with magic.

You give Giovanna a cool stick? She's making a game out of it. If it's a really big stick that's straight and smooth, she was a wizard. It's smooth but jagged; that's a broomstick and she's a witch.

A lot of the time, when she's finished playing the game, she'll draw them in a surprising amount of detail for a 4-year-old. She has a whole folder of her, Andrea, and the neighbors' fairy adventures.

She was very social in comparison to Andrea, but only to kids. Not adults. While she liked Alex and Priyanka (they played her fun games and Priyanka gives her ice cream), she's found that some adults find her creativity to be annoying. At pre-K, because she only likes to focus on something interesting, she doesn't really do well. Sometimes teachers seem to think she's not smart. But Giovanna knows that she is. When it persists--and it always does--she starts to feel stupid and worthless.

Priyanka Mathur (she/her) is first generation Indian-American with neutral toned brown skin and thick, dark hair. She's 25 and the second child to a successful civil rights lawyer who got a case to the Supreme Court and won. And, an award-winning chef who participated in a wide variety of cooking competitions and won nearly all of them.

Priyanka's parents were millionaires, which helped a lot with Priyanka's life. Graduating early from an elite private school and getting her Bachelor's in Environmental Studies cost her nothing, and growing her business of making gardens and homes eco-friendly was easy. Think of her like Jamila Norman, just without the Magnolia show. Now, she makes $500,000 a year by herself. It makes her life of living alone in 3 acres of land in the middle of nowhere with her dog, chickens, and plants from the age of 21 very nice.

She met Alex in college when her brother dragged her out to a gay bar and she was warding people off with her "you're all in the friendzone" phone case and the rainbow loom bracelet she made a few years back with the aroace colors. Alex looked at that, said "Same" and they've been friends ever since.

In all honesty, Priyanka was living her dream and couldn't think that her life could get more complete until she met the kids. She never wanted kids of her own. Actually, she doesn't remember really liking kids. But, she saw Andrea and Giovanna and took it upon herself to become the aunt you always talked to. She would die for her new nieces that she called her surrogate children.

In fact, she's two seconds away from getting Andrea a pet, though she doesn't know which one she knows the most cool facts about; though Priyanka did notice that she has never mentioned ferrets before. Andrea either doesn't like them (unlikely) or doesn't know about them. But, she did get her a massive bumblebee plush and a kid's book about animals. For Giovanna, she has to hold herself back from buying a drawing tablet with a program and some YouTube videos titled "How to Animate using whatever program" because she was 4. Instead she got a big box of colored pencils and a sketchbook.

She knew that material things aren't really their love language, so for Priyanka to do more she became the place they went to when they didn't want to talk to Alex, for whatever reason. And, no matter what, she was on their side and always super supportive. Though sometimes it's too much for the kids and instead of support, they need advice. Most of that had to do with school, and Priyanka wasn't too good at that, and neither was Alex. She doesn't like letting the kids down.
