3rd Person Pov

What Gilgamesh hurt Y/N, but it was the truth. Y/N had stopped training for 12 years, so that meant his form wasn't so good and plus, he recently joined and was sent due to fate.

The next morning, it was said that the forces were reduced by 30% on the Northern Walls. However, Gilgamesh predicted that and so, sent orders to rest up and replace the soldiers

You: You called, Gilgamesh?

Gilgamesh: Yes, go and fetch me the Tablet of Destinies and the 7 Souls, if you would

You: What are those?

Gilgamesh: The tablet is a recording of the future that I saw in a past meditation. As for the 7 souls, they are nothing but lost souls, waiting to be fused with someone worthy of them to create the OVERWRITE Soul. That is all, I wrote that tablet in Kutha on my way back from the underworld. In your eyes, your world where neither the underworld or the heavenly gods exist is much more peculiar.

The City of Kutha is a city that Ishtar controls and that was Gilgamesh's orders. People had gone there and saw that the whole place was quiet, a wasteland

When Merlin, Y/N, and Mashu got back, Ana, Ushiwakamaru, and Benki were there. They wished to help but couldn't due to their mission. Y/N recalls how useful Ushi was to him before Ana came back to prepare.

Time skip

The following morning, Y/N, Chloe, Mashu, Merlin, Ana, and Illya then head towards the city.

When they arrived, even if it was a ranch, it was said that by the person there that Ishtar took their gems and made a mess, but a miracle that she didn't injure anybody

Merlin: Ishtar wouldn't do anything like that. A girl and the goddess was fused into each other, making the Ishtar we know. Plus, all the Mesopotamian Gods have blonde hair. The black hair was the girl that fused with the goddess

You: To think that a goddess is actually a Demi god in that form.

Time skip

Upon arrival at Kutha, beasts weren't seen along the area before they all settled up near the city as their camp and afterwards, the following morning, search the area

Upon searching, it was just destruction, no body in sight of any survivors. Y/N looks around as he then sees a human shadow before his signal back at Chaldea was cut off. Why? He had unexpectedly reached the underworld.

Y/N then looks back as he sees a zombie, well, an army of them who cursed him for heading there. However, thanks to Fou, they stopped attacking

You: Thanks, Fou

Just then, the man who Y/N had given food to was there as well. He owed the boy a favour, so his life was spared as a Golden Light appears before Y/N asks the name for his name

Ziusu-Dra

You: Wait, one more, is the Queen of the Underworld, Ereshkigal here?!

He didn't answer as Y/N returns to the over world. With how Mashu and Illya were reacting, his soul was the only thing that reached the underworld.

Merlin: Looks like you got the tablet

Y/N looks to see the said tablet and the 7 souls surrounding him, each moving towards his body, fusing with him as a purple soul appears.

You: This is... OVERWRITE... huh? Ishtar... get down!

Magic bullets were fired as Y/N deflects them all as Ishtar reveals herself

You: For gem thief and property destructor, you're pretty loud!

Ishtar: That's not it! Besides, I've never assaulted humans for money or anything!

You: Then you took their gems

Ishtar: That was compensation after saving them! Saving you guys for free would corrupt you again!

You: So you would have saved those villagers for free then?

Ishtar: ... Drats... anyway! You need Divine Punishment!

A blue arrow then appears from her bow as U/N slices it in half before Ishtar comes in for the attack

You: You're so predictable. This is why I favoured your sister over you.

Y/N throws his sword towards Ishtar as it scratches her shoulder before heading back to her bow. She then tried to attack, but the shadow of the clouds stopped her before she regained consciousness

You: Come at me, useless god.

Ishtar: Why you!!

Ishtar then attacks Y/N head on as Chains from Ana then tie her to the ground as Y/N teleports behind Ishtar

You: This is one of your human flaws in your fake form. You are too hotheaded and that makes you weak

He then chops her neck as she passes out. After that battle, he brings Ishtar as a hostage inside a hut where she was awoken by a cigarette butt.

Ishtar: Wait, what's going on, am I tied up?! Where am I, Y/N?!

You: Huh? You don't know where you are? You literally attacked us.

Ishtar: Of course I don't know why I'm here at all!! Untie me, Y/N!

You: Not until you tell me about the three Goddess Alliance

Ishtar sighs before she tells about the alliance. Turns out, they were competing against each other to see who can destroy Uruk and obtain the Grail that Gilgamesh is keeping. The first to get it will control the land. She agreed to not tell the others names, but Y/N will take that answer.

Ishtar further explains that she was summoned by a ritual while the others were drawn by the grail and since it was night, Skeletons appear from the ground

You: Let's go, retreat. As for you, Ishtar, escape, I will not say it twice! The reason why is because you used to be my ally and still my wife, I won't kill you because of this

Ishtar then flies away, but instead of fleeing, she destroys the skeletons in front of them and as they leave, Ishtar's hair turns blonde.

Time skip

Back in Uruk, Y/N feels the Mage King, Solomon, coming to Uruk very soon as he wakes up in shock.

Mash: Are you alright?

Merlin: When we gave the Tablet, you fainted and the souls were flying around before going into your body. Gilgamesh was surprised, but allowed you to keep the souls in your body. You also met the Mage King before, tell it to me in full details

You: In London... when we tried to retrieve the 4th Grail. He appeared from the darkness. He killed Tamamo and Mordred. Even when I had Platinum Ezel equipped... I still couldn't beat him. I didn't just hurt, it shattered my confidence in fighting if it meant I saw people I made connections with die again. Solomon had no care in the world for life, toying with it. A revelation from him, the place will burn.

Merlin; Hm... a grand caster. It means they are really powerful

Mash: Does that mean we stand no chance?

Merlin: Not as you are now. That's why we need to find the last grail and Y/N must find a way to awaken his Noble Phantasm before the final battle, The X Event: Overwrite's Judgement. Come, let's make haste!

It was said that the demonic beasts have infiltrated the walls and now, Y/N and the others were Leonidas' Calvary support.

Y/N watches as be sees how a Legendary Warrior of Sparta fights and he was impressive, he even got his hands on a weapon of Gilgamesh or what Leonidas told them. After that battle, Y/N and Mashu were told to stack bricks in Leonidas' request. The end of the day, their backs aches as Ushiwakamaru tells them about the people of Nippur and that they had lost connection with them.

Time skip

The next morning, bright and early, the group looks at the army of Leonidas with the one leading them and Ushiwakamaru.

This army would take Benkei and Ushiwakamaru with the group as cover for Y/N and the others to get past and that is what they did.

You: I will repay this dept one day, one way or another

When Y/N, Chloe, Illya, and Mashu went towards Nippur, Ushiwakamaru and Benkei noticed something, that the beasts fell to their plans all to easily.

This was where Ushiwakamaru realised that they were just bait to lead the army away from Y/N

Ushiwakamaru: I shall head to Nippur!

Benkei: You can't! Lord Gilgamesh said not to enter the city!

Ushiwakamaru: Lord Y/N is my soulmate, I won't allow anything bad to happen to him. I can't claim myself to be a samurai if I were to betray the person I am destined to be with! Benkei, I leave this to you!

She then leaves as with the group, they enter a house as they see that everything was destroyed. Unlike the previous house, there was blood that lead to the top and towards a circle which a familiar face, Enkidu, stand

You: Where are the humans?

Enkidu: Humans are an invaluable source of nourishment. We're making use of them with much thanks

Chloe: Cannibalism... then the objective here wasn't to destroy the wall, but to drag us out here.

Enkidu: Exactly. You people are no more than raw material used to create them

A large lion demon, Ugallu, the offspring of Tiamat, the largest one. Not only it can attack strongly, it can even take hits.

You: Merlin, support!

Merlin: Alright then~ We play different roles, fake Enkidu

Flowers then fly as they enhance Y/N's blade and Ana's sickle as the girl then slashes to kill the beast. However, there was another trick, it was a diversion for Ana to be captured as she was stabbed. Y/N tries to free her, but Enkidu keeps him busy. Fou however, took the chance to get Ana out of there before the whole place shakes to reveal a beast like no other, Gorgon

She was classified as Avenger as the soldiers were killed.

Gorgon: Prostate yourselves, pray and beg. Tiamat, the mother of all beasts, stands before you now

You: Tiamat...?

It turns out that Gorgon was Tiamat too and with that, Enkidu called her mother. The Avenger was disappointed as she uses her eyes, the eyes that make anyone still

You: This is intimidation... not the mystic eyes, so it is less effective!

Tiamat?: Very well, I will crush you myself! A fun and sweet end for you, don't you think? To think you'd want to protect humanity this badly, accept your downfall

You: Like I will!

Merlin: No, you will escape. I am half a succubus, so I am immortal, I will give you time to escape

Like that would happen. Even when immortal, Proto Merlin was still weak to the Mystic Eyes, so, she steps back

You: WHAT?! *sigh* Fine.

A large red beam appears as Y/N blocks it with Excalibur Morgan. While that happen, a flash of light appears to be Ushiwakamaru

Ushiwakamaru: Y/N, leave this to me, run towards the wall and don't look back!

Tiamat then attacks with her snake arms as Y/N and Ushiwakamru slice the snakes apart

You: I won't lose another servant again!

Ushiwakamaru: But I'm the one who's supposed to be protecting you. Besides, you still need to progress. This will be our promise as soulmates!

You: ... No. Mashu, Chloe, Illya, run now!

Mash: But-

You: Go! *dodges a snake* Too slow! Do better than that, Medu... No, Gorgon! You are no Tiamat!

The three then run away from the city as Y/N and  Ushiwakamaru buy them as much time as possible.

The two land on one of her arms as Ushiwakamaru slashes her eyes. However, it missed as Gorgon heads underground as Ushiwakamaru's lower half was grabbed by one of the snakes

You: Ushiwakamaru!! She's heading for the city!!

Y/N then follows them towards Uruk as he stands in front of the group

You: These attacks are never in vain, neither is Ushiwakamaru's. Why? Because the living are still alive!! Leonidas!

Leonidas then summons spirit troops as they throw spears towards Gorgon.

Leonidas: Now is the time, my friends, bring your souls hither! Thermopylae... Enomotia!!

You: Seal Thirteen... Decision start!!

Shields then turn red as they protected the wall of Uruk as Y/N takes out Excalibur while the shields protected him

You: Merlin, you ready?!

Merlin: Of course, beginning selection: Palamedes, Lancelot, Galahad, Mordred, Gawain, Gareth, Agravain, Tristan...

You: A sword to save the world is one that will save this one!

Merlin: King Arthur...

You: EXU...CALIBER!!!

As the shields break, Leonidas stops the attack using his shield before throwing his lance at Gorgon

Leonidas: Now, Lord Y/N!! I leave it all to you!!

Swings his sword down as the bright light of humanity towards Gorgon takes the hit.

You: You are no Tiamat, nor you are a fake... Gorgon... no, wake up, Medusa!!

Gorgon's eyes widened as the blade pierced her body, from the head down as Ushiwakamaru made sure she didn't regenerate, making 8 illusions to attack the remaining pieces.

You: If you're doing this alone, then pick ip the pace, Ushiwakamru!

Ushiwakamaru: ... Yeah! Who do you think was the servant who was able to keep up with you?! I'll get you close for another Excalibur strike, be prepared!

You: Thanks! Merlin, another seal, remove! Seal Selection... selection start!

Merlin: Palamedes, Lancelot, Galahad, Mordred, Gawain, Gareth, Agravain, Tristan, Kay...

As Merlin chants the seals, Ushiwakamaru gives Y/N open space. He then sees a bright light as he sees something familiar, the Grail itself

Ushiwakamaru: This is farewell... Y/N.

You: ONE MORE, MERLIN!! FULL POWER!!

Merlin: Percival, Gaheris, Bedivere... King Arthur

You: EXCALIBUR!!!

Another swing and as Ushiwakamaru explodes as Y/N swings his sword down to destroy the grail. However, since they needed, Y/N had to miss, making Gorgon revive herself before Enkidu convinced her to leave the humans alone for the next 10 days

Enkidu: Thankfully, she retreated. Life is hard when you have such an unreasonable parent, children can't choose their parents, right Y/N?

You: First you become friends with us, then you try to kill us for I don't know how long it has been, now you save our lives, why?

Enkidu: If we just slaughtered the humans now, the other two would get serious. Like I said, I'm not Enkidu, my name is actually Kingu.

You: The god that lead the offspring of Tiamat in Babylonian mythology?

Kingu: Exactly, I'm the next generation of humanity. So I guarantee you that humanity will not be extinguished, it will be me. I'll take over for you as you return to the void.

She then floats into the air before flying. The battle of today, was one that many have lost their moral. Benkei was still alive, but a traitor, but he was very happy that he was able to meet Y/N. Even if the troops are alive, Ushiwakamru and Leonidas were still killed, Benkei sees himself as a cowards

Mash: We need you power, Benkei!

Benkei: No, that's not true. *points to Y/N* During the battle, it was clear that Y/N was capable of killing Gorgon, I am not fit to help you.

He then leaves as Y/N walks away towards the wall.

You: Take some bricks and line them up here, it's something anyone can do and it's something important too. Even the smallest thing has to be done even if humans have to do it

The soldiers agreed with him as Y/N looks at them

You: Even if out strongest men were killed in this battle, even if most of us are powerless, we shouldn't give up yet! Our battle doesn't end here and will never end until our enemy has been eliminated!

The morale then shot back up as the remaining soldiers helped to repair the wall while Gilgamesh looks at them from her castle

Gilgamesh: There he is, the Y/N I know, or could it be that the souls are talking to him? Giving him the motivation and power of their separate attributes?
