It was many years before, back when they were younger, back when life seemed like a fairy tale. Somewhere with no hardships, doing what you loved, with the people you loved, and not a care in the world.

"One more time!" The teacher said. " Louis and Odette, to the stage please! Get this right and tomorrow we're off. Get this wrong and we practice till we drop for the next month! "

Everyone groaned. "Louis, please don't trip again!" Someone yelled out.
Louis shook his head. "Don't worry, I won't". He then turned to Odette, and said "Are you ready, mademoiselle?" Odette smiled, "Of course I am, my love" she whispered.

Louis smiled and together they walked onto the stage. They began their main dance and began flawlessly. At last, they finished with a flip, and Louis finally did not trip, and they finished triumphantly.

Everyone stood up and clapped. "Well done!" Said the instructor. "You are free to go. But be sure to be back here early in two days!". Odette and Louis walked back to retrieve their belongings.

"You performed flawlessly today, my dear" Louis said. "And you did too, you handsome man" Odette replied with a smile and a twinkle in her eyes.

Louis blushed. He pulled her close and kissed her long and deep. "I love you Odette" he whispered. "And I love you too Louis" she whispered back.

He pulled back and said "Close your eyes for a moment". Odette smiled but did as he said. "What are you up to, Louis?" She asked.

"You'll see" he answered. Then he said "Open your eyes". She did and she let out a small gasp as she saw Louis on one knee, a box in his hand, with a big smile on his face. "W-what are you doing Louis?" She asked.

He smiled even wider and said "Odette, since the first day I met you, I fell in love with you. I was too scared to admit it until a while ago, but was relieved to know you love me back" he said. "And now, I want to spend my whole life with you and never apart. So, will you make me the happiest man in the world...and marry me?" He asked.

Odette nodded with tears in her eyes "Oh, Louis. Yes, Yes!" She said as he picked up the ring and put it on her finger. She gazed at the beautiful ring and then kissed her now fiancee on the lips. They kissed passionately until they ran out of breath and instead placed their foreheads together.

"I love you, Louis Meranté" Odette whispered. "And I love you, my dear, from now, until eternity" he whispered back.
