Epilogue

Long chapter ahead.

Her hand went on her head to adjust the veil correctly. She was admiring the whole moment before her.

Although the wedding hadn't started, the people were still enjoying themselves together. Y/N's mind was filled with happiness as she thought that everything was alright immediately. She was finally going to marry the man she had loved with her everything. The man who gave her respect, love and care. She couldn't be happier.

"Y/Naah! It's time for your wedding!"

She smiled a little. Those small tears which were forming inside her eyes finally fell. She was going down the lane of her memories and all the past events, which eventually made her cry yet again. But these were not tears of sadness, in fact, they showed how much happy she was. She had made herself believe that her father had given up the thought of harming her and Jin. After all, she wanted to kick out all the negativity on her big day.

She stood up from the chair and held her gown up. She glanced at the window for the last time and made her way towards the door.

Everything was like a fantasy to her. Finally, the moment had come for which she had waited long. But everything suddenly seemed to fade away as the doorknob made a movement and the door opened widely.

Y/N's eyes were filled with horror the next moment. She was stunned. Shocked. Scared. Her brother, the person who had tortured her for the whole of her life, was standing before her. Every dream of her seemed to be going far away.

Her brother made his first step towards her. She stepped back in fear that he might hurt her again. She couldn't imagine her big day getting ruined. She couldn't imagine herself in that hell again. She came a long way, now she couldn't afford to go back.

"Dae-Song-ah...why...are...you here?" she stammered.

He smiled. That smile sent shivers down her spine. She thought that it was still that evil smile that had haunted her. He and his father had ruined her life enough. She didn't want more.

But little did she know that there was no evilness in that smile. Everything was genuine. It was real.

"Noona," he hugged her. Although the way he called her by that name used to irritate her, but now she could sense the guilt in his voice. "I know that I don't deserve it...but can you please forgive me?" he sobbed on her shoulder.

Y/N was mystified. It was new to her. Her brother used to taunt and mock her, but now he was asking for forgiveness? Was that for real?

She pushed him away and said, "Forgive you? Did I hear that right? Mr Park heartless Dae-Song is asking for forgiveness? Stop that acting of yours and your demon father!"

Y/N was not in the mood to handle such kind of drama. It was her wedding day. The day for which she had waited longer. And she didn't want to ruin her big day. She had made up her mind that there was no turning back.

Her brother wiped his tears and held her hand, "I'm not acting, Noona! I'm serious. And yes, that demon father is rotting in jail,"

Her eyes grew bigger with shock. Prison? How? When? Why? She couldn't process anything. What was happening? She couldn't find an answer. The time had stopped for her.

"I was searching your almirah and I found a diary. It opened my eyes. All these years, I thought you were the reason why Eomma died. 'Cause Appa told me that. I didn't know about the two murders he did. No matter how much heartless I'm, I can never think of taking people's lives. Yes, I did injure a guy when I threw stones at him, but I regretted that when I was alone. I hated you with all of my heart because I thought you were the killer of Eomma. But thanks to that diary, I came to know the truth," Dae-Song told her everything. Y/N sat down in disbelief. How, just how did her brother become this good?

He continued, "I couldn't hold myself back anymore. So I went to ask him the truth. At first, he didn't tell me, but after I forced him, he tried to choke me. I saw his real self. He made his image before me as a superhero. But that day, I saw what he actually was. He almost killed me. I escaped from there and called the police. I also told them about the murders and the dead bodies. He's in the prison, Noona. You're safe now!"

She couldn't say anything. She was speechless. So much had happened and she was unaware of it till now. She was panting heavily. Tears fell from her eyes. But this time, she didn't know why there were tears in her eyes. Were they tears of happiness or pain?

"Can you please forgive me, Noona? I'm so sorry for what I've done. But now I've realised my mistakes. I want to make everything right!" he begged. He was desperate. He was guilty.

She remained silent. She still couldn't say anything. She was experiencing a roller coaster of emotions. Dae-Song sighed heavily in guilt. He understood that no matter what he does, his mistakes could never be forgiven. With his head down, he turned back to leave with tears in his eyes. He wanted to make everything alright, but it seemed like his presence was going to make everything wrong.

"Dae-Song!" she cried. A quick smile came on her brother's face as a ray of hope danced before him. He turned back to see his sister, smiling widely with tears in her eyes. He ran to his noona and hugged her tightly.

"It's okay Dae-Song! Jin already healed my wounds. Now I want to be happy! And you can add happiness to my life from now on!"

"Where's the bride?"

"It's too late!"

"Yes, we're waiting!"

The guests present at the venue were slowly getting impatient. She was late for the wedding and that thing had started eating Jin from inside. After whatever had happened, he had stopped trusting his fate, which eventually made him impatient.

"Everybody! Thank you for the wait, the bride is here!" one of her bridesmaids announced. Jin and the other guests took a breath of relief. The wait had come to an end. He was going to marry the girl of his dreams.

"But with whom she is going to walk down the aisle? Her father has disowned her, right?" One of those judgemental ladies screamed, earning a glare from Jin.

"She'll walk with me!"

Everyone looked in the direction of the voice. There stood Y/N along with Mr Kim. Both of them were smiling as Mr Kim said, "I'm her father. She'll walk with me. Any problem?"

The ladies made their mouths shut as Y/N took the first step with her would-be father-in-law. With her every step towards Jin, she felt like she had achieved everything in her life. She was happy. Jin was truly the 'one' for her and all she could think at that moment was how beautiful that man was, internally as well as externally. When she met him for the first in the coffee shop, she never imagined that she would marry him one day. But they were meant to be together, right?

Jin's father gave her hand in Jin's and whispered in his ears, "Take care of her, my son! Both of you went through a lot!"
Jin gave him an assuring smile as he held her hand tightly. A rush of adrenaline ran through their spines as both of them felt like they were holding hands for the first time. They walked slowly to the stage together where the priest was standing. Both of them bowed and the priest started reading verses from the Holy Bible.

They were looking deep into each other's eyes. There was a roller coaster of emotions going inside them. Y/N's brother was watching all this with a smile. Finally, what he did was worth it, and he also hoped that God would forgive his sins.

Finally, the moment of truth came. The priest asked Jin, "Will you have this woman as your lawfully wedded wife, to live together after God’s ordinance in the holy estate of Matrimony? Will you love her, comfort her, respect her and keep her, in sickness and in health; for richer and for poorer, forsaking all others, and keep yourself only to her, so long as you both shall live?"

He didn't waste a single second and said, "I do!" After all, this was all he was waiting for. Nothing in the world was equal to the amount of happiness he was feeling.

The priest turned towards Y/N and asked her, "Will you have this man as your lawfully wedded husband, to live together after God’s ordinance in the holy estate of Matrimony? Will you love him, comfort him, honour him, and keep him, in sickness and in health; for richer and for poorer, forsaking all others, and keep yourself only to him, so long as you both shall live?"

She took a deep breath. She was nervous. Closing her eyes, she recalled all the moments she spent with Jin. The promises they made to each other. The love and respect he gave her. Thinking about all these, a smile came on her face.

Jin was getting anxious with every passing moment. He held her hands tightly and asked, "Y/N? You okay?"

"I do! I'm promising you that I'll never leave your side...in good or in bad, I'll always stay with you!" she announced with a smile full of pride. Jin smiled back at her as both of them saw their future in each other's eyes.

There were sounds of applause and cheers, but nothing was audible to them. They were in their world as if the time had stopped for them.

"I announce Seokjin Kim and Y/N Park as man and wife!" The priest smiled and stepped backwards as both of them exchanged rings.

"The groom may kiss the bride now!"

As soon as the priest said so, the whole venue was filled with cheers. Seokjin held her hand tightly and both of them stepped closer to each other. Their hearts were beating fast as if they were ready to come out of their chests. It was a moment of joy.

"I wish we never stop loving each other!" she whispered with a smile.

"We are meant to be forever!" he too smiled and kissed her softly. There was a tsunami of emotions in them. It was not an ordinary kiss; it was the kiss of love, passion and togetherness.

There was a big round of applause. Everyone was so happy. Finally, everything was alright. They were with each other. There was no fear left.

There were no limits to their happiness. Both of them hugged each other and giggled. Y/N looked at Jin and asked, "Jin, should I?" He nodded with a smile.

Y/N threw her bouquet high up in the sky as the crowd ran to catch it. Everyone was eager to see who was going to get married next.

The bouquet finally landed on someone's hand. Everyone looked at the back to see who was next in the line.

"No! Not me!" Tae pouted looking at the bouquet in his hands. All the guests couldn't help but chuckle at his cuteness.

"I love you Y/N!" Jin smiled while holding her close by her waist.

"I love you too, Jin!" she rested her head on his shoulder.

The End
