28 : Park to Kim!

Y/N

My first day at the school as a teacher went amazing. Although I didn't have much experience, everything went smoothly. The kids accepted me as their new teacher happily and I too enjoyed myself with them. I understood why Eomma was always eager to go to school. She loved kids and the teaching profession was a blessing to her.

I climbed up the stairs, tired and knocked on the door. But to my surprise, the door was left open. I entered and encountered darkness at every corner of the room.

Suddenly, the lights went on and there he stood with a smile. The whole room was decorated with rose petals and red balloons.

I immediately started recalling if it was some special day or not...like my birthday or maybe valentine's day. But no, it was just a normal day!

Jin walked towards me with his hands at the back and a smile on his face.

I looked at him in confusion. I still couldn't find a reason why he was doing this all of a sudden.

But my confusion disappeared as our eyes met and I saw a hundred, thousands, millions of reasons to love him in his eyes. The soft smile on his face made my stress go away in a blink.

Suddenly, he went down on his knees and took out a small box from his back. I was left stunned seeing it. I couldn't believe it was happening. My heart was beating fast. It was like the very first time when we had kissed and everything around had become magical.

He opened the box, revealing a beautiful diamond ring, and softly asked, "Ms Park, are you willing to change your last name into Kim? Are you willing to make this worldwide handsome guy your beloved husband?"

I was shocked. Blanked. He really said that. He really proposed to me for marriage. Was I dreaming? Did he really say that?

I was so overwhelmed. The veins inside my body got electrified, my heart was dancing inside my chest and butterflies were having a marathon in my stomach. I slightly nodded, making it evident that I was in shock. Jin jumped in excitement and pulled me into the warmest hug we could ever have. Sudden tears of joy were in my eyes as the whole scenario of me taking the next step of my life came in front.

He broke the hug and wiped up his tears. We went through a lot, didn't we?

Carefully, he took out the ring from the box and fitted it inside my finger. This was the mark of our love. The love which changed the lives of both of us. I hugged him tightly yet again without wasting another minute and soon found my legs in the air. He slightly kissed my right cheek assuring me that he is mine. And I was his'.

Tae emerged from the room, clapping. He was smiling widely.

"Thank me Y/N. It was my idea!" he laughed.

Both I and Jin chuckled at his cuteness.
"So, should we start the preparations?" Tae asked and I looked at Jin. We were getting married. Yes, we were getting married!

I nodded excitedly, forgetting every other important thing. I was out of the world happy because, why not? I was going to marry the man whom I loved more than anything! Jin was lost in his own world of thoughts, from where he came back after I shook him.

"Yes! Let's start the preparations! But before that, I need to do something!" he announced, and I and Tae looked at each other in confusion.

"Appa and Eomma." He cleared his sentence.

Jin slightly kissed Y/N's forehead. Taehyung told him that it was getting late.

Y/N's face was tense because she was worried about Jin. He was going back to Seoul to meet his parents, and maybe, to clear the misunderstandings.

"Don't worry baby! I'll be fine!" he assured her. He and Tae bid goodbye to her and sat inside the car. She sighed heavily and prayed to God that everything should go well.

"After six years..." Jin broke the silence inside the car as Tae looked at his hyung, "I'm going to meet them and see their faces. What do you think Taehyungie, will they accept me now?"
Taehyung waved his head in a 'yes' and placed his hand on Jin's shoulder, "They will embrace you now!"

The car stopped before the huge mansion after a tight three hours journey from Busan to Seoul. Both of them were tired and anxious.

Tae emerged at the entrance as his father, who was sipping tea at the couch, stood up with tension marks on his face.

"How was the trip, my son?"

Tae had lied to his parents that he was out on a business trip while he was spending his days in Busan.

"I...I have someone with...me!" he stuttered. Tae's mother too came out from the corner room, delighted to see her son.

The husband-wife looked at each other in confusion. Tae soon stepped away from the way as their abandoned son emerged from the entrance. It was Seokjin. Kim Seokjin, the elder son of the Kim family.

Both of them almost choked. They couldn't believe their eyes if they were really seeing their elder son standing there or not.

"J...J...Jin?" both of them astonishingly muttered together.

Jin's eyes shined brightly as tears were getting stored inside them. He slowly walked towards them with legs wobbling and his heart trembling. It was after 6 damn years.

His mother just couldn't hold herself back and rushed to him as he opened his arms wide. The soothing scene of mother-son in each other's embrace was breathtaking. Tae clapped his hands in excitement. But someone was not satisfied. His father.

Jin broke the hug and wiped away her tears, "I'm here!" His mother giggled like a kid.

Mr Kim walked to his son with a cold face.

"Have you understood your mistakes?" he dared to ask his son.

Jin shook his head in a big 'no'. He was not at all regretting what he did in the past. Besides, what he did was worth it. He fulfilled his dreams and now he had a special reason to live as well.

"Appa!" he said, "I'm not here today because I'm sorry. I'm not sorry. I did what was right. I'm here today because...because I wanted to let you know that I've survived successfully on my own, I've a wonderful job which I enjoy and...I also have a special person. We...are getting married! And I'm here to invite you!"

His parents as well as Tae's eyes grew bigger. They were expecting him to mend the misunderstandings but he was not willing to do that at all. He was there to invite them on his happiest day. He was not sorry for what he did.

"I, Kim Seokjin, cordially invite the Kim family to my wedding. I'll send you the card later."

He smiled and turned back to leave. His mother tried to stop him yet again but he was not going to stop. He just wanted to live happily with his Y/N away from all the formalities and pressures of relations. Even if it was his own family.

"Hyung! You said that you won't leave again!" Tae screamed. Jin turned back and smiled, "If you don't want me to leave, then stop me. If Appa asks me to not leave, I'll happily stop!"

Both Tae and his mother looked at his father in hopes that he would really stop him. But he didn't.

"See?" Jin eyes couldn't hold back the tears and they fell.

With a smile on his face, he left.
