Heya! Nice To Meet Ya
(by Niall Horan, buy and stream)

I brought y'all a new chapter but the story doesn't makes any progress.
I'm sorry. I couldn't update. Thanks for sticking up, love(s).

"Your fate will make you collide against your guardian angel. All you have to do is avoid 'blue' color at any cost......What on earth does that even mean?" I said scrunching my nose, looking away from the screen of my phone.
"You don't have to know what it means. Now, come on be a good mom and look at mine." I slapped the screen of my phone over my thigh. Tilting my head at an certain angle, I let my eyes scan the little boy sitting next to me smugly, with his arms wrapped over his chest. I arched an eyebrow, in a questioning manner when he shut his eyes and softly nodded as if telling me that obeying him was the best option I could think of.
"You know having been sitting with ya on the passenger's seat while you're driving is no less than cawling-"
"Crawling"
"Exactly. Crawling into a death hole. So, inspect of staring, read my future."
All my irritation against the little soul drowned down my feet, right into the earth when I heard him mutter. I pursed my lips, trying not to laugh at his innocence. I raised an arm and unbuckled his seat belt and ruffled his chestnut hair.
"It's instead not inspect."
"Ins-pect?"
"In-s-tead."
"That's what I just said. Inspect."
I rolled my eyes and sighed. Before I could get out of the car, which by the way belonged to dad, he spoke. "That's why I call you mom. You actually behave like her. And that's why I'll never stop calling you that. Now that we have discussed enough, read my horror-cope for me."
Knowing that correcting him would be useless, I continued. "I don't even think astrology is real. I mean no offence but astronomy is the only thing that makes sense to me. I'll tell you more-"
"Tell me more when you start earning from it." he sassily replied making me narrow my eyes at him.
"Why Kev, why? I love you and then you say such things." I asked faking a hurt expression that was way too good for the little boy to see through.
"I love you more, Char." he says with a smile so warm that it melted me within a second. I passed him a smile in return before turning to the screen of my phone, back to the page with today's horoscope.
"Keep your eyes open. Good opportunities are coming your way-hey Kev that's cool-" he glared at me, asking me to continue without interrupting. "-sorry. It says, believe in yourself. Lucky color-"
Before I could continue, my phone chimed, causing Kev to grunt in frustration. I chuckled lightly seeing him irritated and turned back to my ringing phone.
"Hey Blake!"
"Hey Cherry!" His gently voice filled my ears almost immediately causing my lips to quirk up. I could imagine him smiling from the other side. "Where are you? I'm waiting here."
"Chill Vector, we are just outside your place. It would take us a minute to get in."
"We?" he suddenly asked and I bit my tongue as I looked over at Kev who was fidgeting with a spinner peacefully.
"Yeah, I'm so sorry Blake, I just forgot to tell you. Kevin's with me. Anna had some work to do and I couldn't leave him alone-"
"Stop fretting, Cherry" he chuckled, "It's alright. I like Kev anyway. Bring him in." he says before I hang the phone.
"Let's go, champ." I told Kev before we both hopped out of my dad's slash Louis' car that I was driving.
I was walking towards the gate of the building in front of us, I noticed something strange.
"Why on earth are you walking like that, Kev? With your eyes wide open like a zombie?"
"Horror cope mom." I chuckled at his innocence.
"Ah, look." he bent down. "So much money, mom!" he picked up ten bucks off the ground. I was shocked that he actually found something with his eyes like that. "I'm rich, mom. Oh my god. I-"
He was panting. His excitement was contagious.
"Okay, Kev. That's enough. You know what? It's yours. Keep it but keep walking too."
"Don't worry, mom. I won't forget about you even if I become rich. There's no need to be insecure about it."
Without even sparing a second to respond, I grabbed his small wrist gently, considering he was a kid, and entered the building in front of us.' The East End Avenue' the board read.

The lift dropped us at the twelfth floor, where Blake lived with his family. I had been here just once before, when I came by to give him his phone that he had 'accidentally' left with me as he had to go to the football practice. I met Ashley, his mother, that day. She's a successful interior designer and an awesome person to talk to.
While Kev, had devoted all his attention to my phone, I decided to press the doorbell of the flat number 2603. The faint sound of the doorbell was audible from outside. We had to wait for almost a minute before the door opened.
"Oh Hi, Char!" A smile crawled upon my face, hearing Jenny's voice even before my eyes fell on her face. She pushed few brown locks of her hair behind her ear, before she opened the see-through steel door to let us in.
"Hello Jenna. Nice to meet ya."
"Same here. Glad you came." She said as I took a step in followed by Kev, who had his eyes still glued on the phone. Jenna's gaze flickered towards him.
"Oh, that's Kevin. A friend of mine. Kev?" I said but he never reciprocated. I looked down at him before snatching the phone off his grip. "Kev? Say hello."
"Hello" he quietly said. "Hey are you, by any chance related to Blake?"
Jenna let out a small laugh before bending down to his level, and ruffling his hair (which he clearly didn't like because he had wrinkled his nose).
"That I am. Nice seeing you, little bud."
Kevin looked at his face calculatedly before staring back at me, as if asking me for permission. There was something on his mind, I knew that for sure. "Thanks. I feel the same." He smiled.
Within a matter of seconds, we were at their living room, finding ourselves comfortable, leaning against the sofa chair.
"Where's Blakey boy, anyway?" I said immediately taking the glass of mango juice from her hands and taking a sip.
"About that." She said stress-fully. "I am really sorry, Char. Blake's out with his friend and he would be back in a few minutes. I really have to leave for the hospital, so can you just wait here and look after the house till he comes back?" there was a pleading look in her eyes that I couldn't survive.
"Hospital?" I asked.
"Yeah....Actually a colleague of mine got herself indulged in a car accident."
"I am sorry."
"Yeah, but her wounds are not that severe. I had planned to visit the hospital today but my stupid boy. He's hardly ever home."
I chuckled, keeping the glass of juice on the center table. "It's okay. You can leave. Its actually cool that you trust me enough." I reassured her.
"Thanks, love. I wish I had you as a daughter instead of Blake" we both laughed at that. Kevin was least interested in what she was saying, probably because of his cold war with Mr Vector and I was definitely going to talk to him about that.
"And Oh, Char? Since, you're such a wonderful girl, I'd like to tell you something."
I raised up my eyebrows in confusion.
"Blake had planned a prank on you before leaving. Push the door of the washroom before opening it. There's an ice bucket affixed on the ceiling along with door. He had planned to drench you pink. Apparently, for ditching him at Olivia's party" she laughed before waving a goodbye.
"I never liked the boy, Mom." Kevin muttered.
I flared my nose and squinted my eyes. Payback time, Vector.
****
I had successfully managed to escape his stupid plan, kicking his bathroom door. The door flung open, causing the pink water and some semi-melted ice cubes to fall on the floor. What a kid!
I had to sweep the floor for the mess I had created, because I just couldn't see it dirty and wet. The sight was quite unbearable. Plus, I couldn't afford any of us slipping and going back to our respective residences with any missing incisors.
When I thought, I could take my plan any further, my phone rang.
"Vector." I mumbled, trying to keep all the grudges aside.
"Cherry? Where are you?"
"At your place." I wanted to scream at his face that his plan had gone down the hill and it took me everything to not to do so.
"Is mom there? I have been calling her but she isn't picking up the phone."
"I am afraid she just left to meet a friend of hers."
"Oh-wait, are you pissed at something?"
He suddenly said a froze for a while. How did he know? Was I that obvious?
"Oh no no, Blakey boy. I am just as fine. Tell me is there something bothering you? And when will you be back? We had plans, remember?"
"Yeah, about that, I am really sorry that I am late, Cherry. I just went to the nursery. Mom wanted us to pick her some plants but guess what? She forgot. I thought I'd be back before you arrive. I am near the elevator, keep the front door open. I have too much stuff to carry."
A smirk crawled upon my face. That's it. I could give him the taste of his own medicine.
"Yes. Of course, Blake." I said. I heard the ring of the elevator and assumed him to enter it as he hung up the phone.
I rushed to the bathroom and filled a five-liter bucket of water. With an evil grin and wicked intentions, I picked it up, causing my muscles to flex. I won't lie, it was heavy but nothing I couldn't make through. I had seen worse.
I spotted Kev, slapping his hand with his palm, disappointingly. "I'd better check your horror cope." He said before disappearing.
Don't worry buddy, you'll be proud of me.
Spilling a few drops on the tiles, I slowly walked towards the front door, trying not to slip. I kept the bucket on the floor and unlocked the door before lifting it back again as I hid behind the door and let my ear rest against the wood of the door. I could hear the sound of the footsteps.
Time for some action.
When the intensity of the sound waves emitted by his footsteps, had the reached the maximum amplitude (excuse my words, it's just I had been studying too much from the past few days), I pushed the door open. Within a fraction of second, I swung my arms, mustering all the force, swiftly spilling the entire bucket over Blake who stood at the threshold. I ended up colliding my head against his chest, with a sound of the bucket falling on the floor. Reflexively, I had my grip on his arms but he was never there to make me stand still on my spot.
I couldn't make it whether it was his heart or mine that drove erratically. I leaped away, immediately breaking the contact between the two of us. I took some steps back, to maintain a considerable distance between us.
His six feet something figure appeared shorter, though, he still looked taller than me, as he had his head down, towards the floor. Droplets of water, like numerous crystals of diamonds sat, unstill, on his dark brown hair that appeared almost black, now drenched. He brought his hand up to touch his wet hair, ruffling them in a swift motion, causing him to jerk his head sideways. The smile on my face dropped down just like the droplets of water did, from his marble-skin, slowly.
I was successful. Only it wasn't Blake. It would've been him if only he had grown quadruple inches taller. All of it happened so suddenly that I ought to make a mistake.
My lips parted to form an 'o' as I realized who it was. A deep sigh escaped my lips. He must've caught me staring him because he immediately raised his head in my direction with his intense, icy-blue gaze staring right back at me, making me look away, hesitantly.
It appeared to be the same blue that conquers the over the transparent water of the sea. The same blue, which embraces the enormous sky with open arms, either just before or just after a storm. It was the kind of blue which stands for calmness and stillness and could lure anybody in to trust him while at the same time making the bells of alarm ring in my head to get as far from him as possible. It was a sight I'd prefer than gazing the starry sky.
It was my kind of blue.
Wtf, is wrong with you, Char?
I have no clue. I thought to myself.
"Fi-Finn?" I stuttered. "I don't even know when you walked in-"
"Hey mom! I finally understood what your horror scope says. It says your fate will make you collide against your guardian angel. All you have to do is avoid 'blue'......"
What an irony!
I should really take up some advice and avoid the blue.
I turned back to look at Kevin who was standing near the door frame with my phone in his hands. I realized he stopped talking because he had seen a specific someone beside me.
I looked back at Finn whose eyes reflected mere anger for me. He averted his gaze to Kevin and suddenly a little glimpse of a smile caused his lips to curl upwards. The sight was quite amazing. I hadn't seen him smile since forever. He rushed past me, deliberately hitting my shoulder. I don't know why but a wave of sadness swept over me.
"Is it what I am seeing or I have gone Char?" Kevin said slapping his temple like a maniac. I almost laughed at that one.
I took a few steps to reach the two of them so that I could see their faces.
"I am afraid I have failed to process the latter but yeah, I am what you are seeing." Finn chuckled, sitting down on the floor, on his knees.
"Finn? Thank you, God. Your hair looks different. They aren't yellow anymore" he said before throwing his little arms around his neck.
"Hold on, man. I'm drenched. You'll ruin your clothes."
"That's no problem. I thought I have become just like her-" he said pointing his finger at me, "Do you know, Finn, she missed you so much that she used you see you everywhere." My face turned a shade of red in embarrassment. Why Kev why? Why did you have to say that to him?
Anyway, I waited for Finn to saying something. He pushed back his hair gently as if he there was nothing said.
"How are you doing little bud? Everything's fine?"
"I'm good. Char would be now, when you're here. What about you? Where did you go, Finn?"
Where was he actually? Where had he been all these months?
I wanted to know everything. Only that, he wasn't even interested in seeing my face, let alone the talking part.
Finn got up on his feet again, towering his huge frame over Kevin, who stood, looking up at him. "I was out in London, for schooling, you know?" he said in his prominent accent, laying emphasis on the o's.
"London?" Kevin gasped dramatically, cupping his cheeks. I heard a small chuckle escape from Finn's lips which somehow led a smile on my face as well. "Will you take me there too?"
"Of course! Is that even a question? My boy asked me something for the first time. How can I turn such a handsome lad down?" he said making Kevin giggle within a second.
"But I am angry with you."
"Me?" Finn said dramatically. "What did this pour soul do?"
"You left without even telling anyone! You should've met us once." Kevin complained.
"I never knew I was going to leave in the first place." He coldly replied.
"No worries." Kev chirped once again. "Promise me you won't leave us again." He said and the word 'us' hit me hard.
"No promises." He calmly replied. Patting his head for the second time now, he stoop up on his feet. His voice seemed heavy, almost sad. Finn was going to leave again?
He- Oh my god no.
Lifting the heavy weight off my chest that Finn had successfully placed with his glares and ignorance to my existence, I moved towards him but he turned his body away from me and patted his clothes, letting the water drops on the floor. I noticed how the red shirt he wore looked different on him. Being completely wet, it hugged his well-defined frame, looking a shade of maroon instead. His outfit was completely different from the kind of clothes he usually wore and somehow made him look a few years older. He looked different. Different in a good way, though.
I decided to approach him but he walked away. The brave front that I tried to put up fell once again.
"What are you doing?"
He paused on his spot and devilishly titled his head in my direction. Raising a finger, he pointed it at himself and quirked up an eyebrow as if asking me whether the question was meant for him. I nodded.
He lifted a foot off the ground and stared at it, causing my gaze to travel along with his. "Oh, I am just-" he placed his foot a few centimeters away. Moving his body along he took a step forward. "-I am just using the sine component of the force of friction to push behind the floor. In short using F sine theta to move. In lay man's language it's called walking. You should try it sometime."
But taking it positively, it was the longest dialogue he had said to me in months. So that was a progress, I guess. A kind of.
"I can see you're walking. What I meant was what are doing here? At Blake's house?"
"I am sorry Ms. Evans but I never meant to intrude your rendezvous-"
"You're not helping, Finn."
"Finn?" I sternly questioned him. I wasn't going to let him go without doing some talking. "Where is Blake?"
"Blake of course." I heard him whisper, his words as light as a breeze. He rolled his eyes.
"Talk to me, dumb-ass!" I asked in irritation, squeezing my eyes.
"Kev, love? Do you know your mom here-" he pretended to not look at me. "is going to be Taylor Swift when she grows older?"
Funnily enough, Kev laughed. "Why? You love my voice, Walker. Don't ya? Sometimes you yourself force me to worry about you. Your obsession with me is getting out of-" with a smirk on my face I questioned him.
"Tell her she's going to be Taylor because she'd end up having a long list of ex-lovers." I curled my fingers into ball to hit his head but then Kev spoke up.
Thank god I have enough brain to sense the jealousy in this guy's voice. Too bad walker, too bad.
"But she'll write your name, in that blank space." Finn's eyes were ready to pop of out of his sockets as the words escaped his mouth. I stood frozen on the spot. What was wrong with everyone lately?
"Who taught you that?"
"Char did!" Kev squealed. Oh my! When did I teach him that?
Finn scoffed. "Now I wonder, who's the obsessed one."
"Shut up. You're just ew, Walker. Remember that. Always."
He didn't reply. It was quite weird that he didn't because it was the same way I tricked him to talk to me two days back at Olivia's party. It wasn't working now which meant he had something going on inside his head. Finn walker was a kind of guy who couldn't hear anything against himself even if it was an insult in its tiniest form. He had planned something bigger. One thing that I figured out that day was avoiding me was an important part of his master plan. And getting him to talk at any cost to break the ice was the part of mine.
"You know Finn-"
"It's okay Evans. I don't mind you spilling water. I'll ask my friend to help me out." Finn smiled at me. I was puzzled but then I looked back to face Blake standing at the door with a cardboard box in his hands.
"Friend?"
"Oh Hi, Cherry!" He smiled sweetly at me which was enough to drain down my frets. I couldn't help but smile back at him. "Oh lord, Walker?" Blake looked at him and scanned him from top to bottom. He tried to suppress a chuckle. "Man, that's really insensitive of you, Cherry."
"What is he even doing here?" I asked, crossing my arms to my chest.
"If you don't know, me and Finn are friends now, right?"
My eyes traveled to Finn who just nodded with a slightest hint of a smile.
My lips parted as I stared at them in pure shock. Finn and Blake? Friends? Blake managed to become Finn Alex Walker's friend? And he let him be?
Oh no.
It could be his way of striking back.
"And what did you do to my friend, Cherry?" Blake asked, trying his best not to laugh. "I am sorry for laughing like that. It was my mom, isn't it Cherry? She must've told you about my master plan. That's why you planned it."
"I'll kill you, Vector."
"Aw, but you love me too much for doing that."
"Everything's fair in love and war, Vector."
"Glad you never denied the fact that you love me." he noticed that I was going to leap at him and smack his head till he saw the stars and hence he dodged me away. I almost slipped on the floor while chasing him but he pushed Finn in between us, who looked rather uncomfortable by our little conversation turned The Tom and Jerry show.
"Oh man." Blake panted. "Hey Kev I never noticed you're here. Hi!"
"I preferred it that way." He coldly replied before storming away. What's wrong with the other two people in the room?
"Anyway, he's a kid. Hope you could be friends with him as well, Finn." Blake said as he chuckled in between his deep breaths. He's suggesting Finn to be Kevin's friend, Poor Blake doesn't know Kevin is his own personal solicitor.
"Sorry for what our Cherry, did today, Finn. It was never meant for you anyway." Finn looked at me calmly. I couldn't really see through the look in his eyes. "Poor Walker, Cherry, you must've given him an heart attack." He turned towards him before speaking again "You should keep a safe distance here bud. It would be good for your health and yes, for your heart."
Finn's piercing gaze never left me. I felt exposed. I felt uneasy. I wanted him to look away but he never did.
"Don't worry, Vector. There's no way in the world I'm letting her close to my heart ever again."
Okay peeps! Hullo
How's been life treating you all? My life's pathetic as usual. I wonder why don't have a multiple personality disorder.
So neglecting all of it, I have some questions for you all.
1. What was the best part of the chapter?
2. Finn Walker inside the Vector Residence? Something cooking in his brain, you think?
3. Kevin? Anything for our little boo?
4. Horoscopes! Or should I say horror copes? Should Char really stay away from all the blues? What's your star sign? Mine is Aquarius.
5. Blake Vector! Anyone rooting for the poor boy?
6. What are your predictions for the next update?
7. Favorite song at the moment? Mine's Slow Dance by AJ Mitchell and We Made It by Louis Tomlinson.
Thank you everyone for your support. I love you all.
