"Why do you have to marry again mum? We're happy, jus' the two of us." Richard pouted. His mother's eyes showed sympathy.

"Ritchie, it's for the best. I'm working two jobs right now, and you haven't even met him yet. He'd like you." She took her son's hands in hers and squeezed them reassuringly.

"Have you told him about me? Y'know..." He looked down at his feet. Elsie hesitated.

"N-no, I haven't told him. But he's not the type who'd think of you badly for it." He nodded, still not 100% reassured. 

"Okay, I'm gonna get ready now." He let go of hi mother's hands and kissed her cheek, walking to his room. Richard pulled out his phone and decided to text George.

Richard giggled.

RingoStarrfish: what 'cha plan on wearing today?

Joj'Arrison: since the theme is disney today, prob that jasmine outfit. who did you say your fav disney bird was?

Joj'Arrison: i know who alice is

RingoStarrfish: oi, don't sass me mister

Joj'Arrison: yes mum

RingoStarrfish: oh you're funny. i'm getting dressed now, i'll call you when i'm done *kisses you* <3

Richard placed his phone on his bed and walked to his closet. He found the baby blue dress with pristine white apron on a hanger and plucked it from it's spot on the rack. Digging through his sock drawer, Richard found some white translucent tights and threw them on his bed. He striped off his Guns 'n Roses t-shirt and sweatpants, usual Saturday attire, and began to slip the dress over his head. Richard sat on his bed and pulled the stockings on his pale legs. There was a knock at the front door, but Richard shrugged it off, knowing Elsie would get it while he was getting ready. When Richard slipped on his black mary janes, his phone started to buzz.

Call from: Joj'Arrison

[Accept] 

"Something on your mind Gear?"

"Drag race was cancelled today!" George shouted.

"Aw what?! Why?"

"I just got a text from Eppy. Said he's not feelin' so well. And he doesn't have anyone else to take over today."

"I hope he gets better, though I am a bit bummed. I'm all dressed up too." Richie pouted, he really was looking forward to the Disney theme today 

"You're tellin' me. I spent half an hour on my makeup! Screw it, I'm gonna go put on a hoodie and my lazy pants, I'm gettin' me some ice cream. I'm not gonna let this hard work go to waste, I wanna share my skills with the world." George stated with an air of authority. Richard laughed a bit, lightening his mood.

"Have fun then, me mum's boyfriend is coming over today and I don't think I can go."

"I cri evriteim."

"I'm hungry though, I'll make grilled cheese for lunch."

"Later Starrfish."

"Text ya later 'Arrison."

Call Ended

Richard tossed his phone on the bed and sighed. "Maybe it'll be the same theme next time." he thought. There was talking in the sitting room and Richard opened his door.

"Mum, I'm gonna make some grilled cheese. Would you like so- Oh. H-hello." Richard saw an unfamiliar man standing next to his mother, both watching him.
