|4|Come Find Me|

~O~

All nineteen teenagers were now seated around the lobby, re-discussing their current situation after the most recent encounter with Midoriya. Some of them - mostly Uraraka - were still recovering from the intense impression they got from Midoriya who they thought could never pull that off. While some went on and checked a few things before joining the others in the lobby.

"Well? You guys found anything?" Hagakure asked.

Sero shook his head as he sat down, "Nothing much honestly."

"According to Todoroki, there was a possibility to contact someone from outside but now there's no signal at all." Yaoyorozu said, showing that her phone had no connection.

"Furthermore, we have no idea about the time and date." Todoroki added, "Last time I checked, everything was distorted, even in my phone. But now, giving it a proper look, it looks less confusing but the problem hasn't been solved a bit yet."

"What does that mean?" Kaminari asked.

As a reply, Tokoyami placed the calendar, that was previously on the reception desk, on the coffee table in the middle to show his classmates the case. Seeing it's state, Kaminari yelped and almost jumped out of his seat.

On a closer look, it's font wasn't distorted mechanically at all.

Rather it had blood covering the texts.

"It wasn't the only thing covered in blood. There are some stains here and there around the desk as well. Also on a few keys on the wall." Tokoyami claimed.

"I thought Midoriya was joking about all the bloody stuff!!! You're telling me there's actually going to be real blood here!?! I'm out!! I'm out!! I'M OUT!!" Mineta exclaimed as he quickly hid behind the closest person he could find, which happened to be Shoji.

"Speaking of which; can we go outside? I-I mean... I know he said that we'll die if tried to... But, hey, Midoriya isn't really going to kill us, right?" Kirishima asked nervously.

"There's no guarantee. And I believe it's better if we don't put someone's life in danger." Iida replied, "Though, we did try to check the exit. And it's sealed off, perhaps as a warning for us to not go out."

"But even if it was possible, just going away won't be right. We can't possibly leave Midoriya behind, ribbit. What if he's being controlled by some villain and needs our help? We can't ignore that. I can't ignore that, ribbit." Asui stated while rubbing a calming hand on Uraraka's back.

"Asui's right." Tokoyami nodded in agreement. "Where we must find a way out of this darkness, we must help our friend as well."

"So, what do we do? Play along his game?" Ashido asked, still unnerved by the fact that she was the one who suggested this.

"Hey, yeah. Didn't he simply mean for us to find our memories? That'll be a big help, don't ya think? Eh, Kacchan?" Kaminari said.

"Whatever." Bakugou hissed, he was seen standing away from the group on the couches.

"See, he agrees with me!" Kaminari smiled. Bakugou only glared at him in the background.

"So, a game of Hide N' Seek with our memories? Means, we have to look for clues around this building that'll give us a lead on what we're missing until we figure out what happened. Won't be that hard, right?" Uraraka said, she looked better than before.

Jirou agreed, "We should just play along for now. We might find something of worth. Possibly, a way to end this."

Iida stood up and raised his hand upright in midair, "Then it's decided. Split up and look for clues! Let's find our memories and Midoriya, Class-1-A!"

"Yeah. But where should we start? This is like a fifteen storey building." Sato asked. When he arrived at the first floor he noticed that the elevator showed fifteen buttons for fifteen different floors. Not counting the underground parking lot.

"I have an idea." Yaoyorozu said gaining everyone's attention, "I woke up at the fourth floor with Tokoyami and we noticed something strange there."

Sero asked, "Really? Like what?"

"Unlike the rest of the floors, according to what you all said, it wasn't completely unfamiliar to us. We knew we've been there before but we don't have the exact memory of when and why. And to top that; there are a few locked rooms there that we couldn't search from the inside. I'm suggesting that some of us should head over there and mark down the room numbers, come back here, take the proper keys and go see what's inside them." Yaoyorozu explained.

"It is strange that in a place where all rooms are unlocked, there's a few which are unreachable." Todoroki said, "How many rooms were locked though?"

"About nine or ten, if I remember correctly." Yaoyorozu replied. Todoroki nodded saying, "Well then, say me, Yaoyorozu, Iida and Tokoyami will go check the fourth floor."

"And we can go check the floors no one has been to!" Both Kirishima and Kaminari said while dragging Bakugou in the scene.

"There are five floors we don't know about. We'll probably need more groups." Sero stated.

Jirou added, "In that case, how about you and Shoji assist me to the twelfth floor? It'll be helpful."

"Sounds good to me." Shoji said while Sero nodded.

Just like that, another group - Ashido, Uraraka and Asui decided to check thirteenth floor. Koda, Sato and Ojiro on the fourteenth floor. Hagakure and Aoyama on the fifteenth floor.

When everyone was ready to leave for their designated floors, Mineta spoke, "So, I get to sit back for this one?"

"Nah, you're standing guard. Alert us if a murderer breaks in."

"WHAT!?!"

And so,

The game begins.

Fourth floor...

Todoroki, Iida, Yaoyorozu and Tokoyami just stepped out of the elevator and it's doors slid closed with a 'ding'. Now, onto the search for the ten locked rooms.

Once Yaoyorozu and Tokoyami led the other two to a corridor that had five rooms next to each on each side, making them ten in total, the other two could also feel a sense of nostalgia rush over them. They surely have been here before.

But why?

When?

The answer lied behind the doors that were locked. And to solve that problem, they mentally noted down the room numbers.

165... 166... 167... 168... 169...

187... 188... 189... 190... 191...

Without noticing a familiar green haired boy standing in the corner, the four teenagers made their way back to the elevator so they could get the keys from the first floor.

Midoriya looked very sad but he managed to smile.

~O~

Eleventh floor...

"H-Hey, you t-two... Say something please." Kaminari's whole body was literally trembling with fear. "Please... T-Tell me you guys a-are seeing this too... I-I'm not going crazy, am I?"

There stood the trio in utter shock, right one step away from the elevator.

They came here looking for clues, but this was unexpected. I mean, Midoriya did say there would be blood but they still didn't expected this...

Almost everywhere their eyes landed, there was blood.

On walls, the carpets, the doors, everywhere. It was like a massacre happened there.

Bakugou speechlessly took a step and moved forward. Although, he stopped dead in his tracks when his foot hit something. He looked down to see what it was. His ruby red eyes widened.

No.

It wasn't like a massacre happened there.

A massacre really did happen there.

Bakugou's foot just hit a corpse, almost unrecognizable. He looked around and noticed what they thought was an immense amount of blood everywhere, there were corpses of people covered in their own cold blood.

These people... Theses people were burnt, slashed through, cut, tortured, possibly suffocated or something even worse. The sight was so cruel, that those three felt like they could still hear the screams of these people from when they were alive; begging for mercy.

Bakugou could almost see a little girl of not even ten crying for help as she sees her loved ones being killed right in front of her and then those fucking villains slowly and painfully cutting off her limbs with a not-so-sharp knife. And finally taking her life with a slash to the throat.

The ash blonde gulped as he saw a bloody arm. A dismantled leg. Bashed out heads.

He could hear the helpless cries.

But could he do anything about it? No.

Kirishima gagged at the sight. The old lady that could have been happily watching her grandchildren play in a garden now laid dead right in front of him, so cold. A knife still stuck in her back. There were visible multiple stabs on her back.

Was this despair?

Seeing the corpses of people who were right around you and not being able to help them in their last moments despite being a hero. Or worse; not even having a single memory about them?

This shouldn't have been happened. Why was it happening? Why was Midoriya playing with them? What the hell? Why would he do something like that?

"N-No..." Kaminari mumbled. Kirishima and Bakugou looked at him, the electric blonde said, "Please, tell me Midoriya didn't kill them."

"Wh-What...?" Kirishima asked.

Kaminari walked up to him, his brows furrowed and a disturbed smile on his face, "Midoriya didn't kill them, right? He could never... Do such a thing... There's no way he did.... He didn't..."

Kaminari dropped to his knees, his arms wrapped around himself, "He didn't..."

"Kaminari...!!" Kirishima said as he sat down next to him and grabbed his shoulder. Bakugou only stood there.

"I-I'm sorry... I just.... I just have this very very bad feeling. It's like, when you try something really hard and in the end it all goes away from a small mistake? Screw it - failure times hundred is what I feel like now. That kind of failure that makes you want to suicide-!" Kaminari took in a deep breathe.

"Calm down, man!! Get a hold of yourself!!" Kirishima exclaimed.

Kaminari tried to calm down, "Yeah... Sorry... It was just... A really horrible feeling."

"Say, should we head back, Bakugou? I know we didn't really search this place.... But I doubt I can right now, so?" Kirishima asked, looking up at the ash blonde.

"Yeah... Let's go." Bakugou replied.

But before leaving, Bakugou caught the glimpse of something written on a wall with blood.

Twelfth floor...

Jirou, Shoji and Sero found a lot of strange scratches and marks on the walls. It felt like someone tested their swords or daggers here on the walls. Moreover, there was next to no light. The floor was blacked out and possibly only the small backup lightbulbs were working.

Walking in further, Jirou found an opened AC vent. She called Shoji over there to use his quirk and see what was inside. The tall boy did as said, created an eye from one of his arms and extended it in the vent to check the case.

With a bolt, he retracted the eye and sent in a hand, taking out a used and cold green coloured gas bomb.

"It must have knocked us out in the first place." Sero pondered.

"I don't think that would have been the case with the whole class. Yaoyorozu can make gas masks. There must be something else too." Jirou added.

"Yes. Let's keep searching." Shoji said while the other two nodded.

Back on the fourth floor...

Yaoyorozu's group just came back from the first floor with the keys. Coincidentally, the keys to the ten rooms were the only ones that had blood on them and were out of order. The rest of the keys were hanging in a consecutive order according to their numbers but these weren't. It seemed as if someone frantically hung them behind the reception desk with injured hands.

Now, opening the door labeled 165, they begin the search.

Todoroki opened a closet. He stopped when he two familiar grey suit cases numbered 15 and 18 in light green...

They were Midoriya's and Todoroki's hero costumes... But why were they here-?

Then it hit him.

Class-1-A has been staying there for more than a week.
